Glad it's helping you. Disappointment (yes, in my case too) can be very bitter. We each need to find our own way to get rid of it. We must make sure not to throw out the baby with the bath water.
Your sketchbook is so beautiful and inspiring. I am always so intimidated to really start painting but I know I need to get over my mental hurdles. Thank you for the encouraging video!
I totally feel emotional in front of this video. I am facing the same grieving of an ideal carreer in the academics after 12 years of studies and way too much money spent and unpaid work done. Thanks for the book recommendation and thank you for sharing this with us ❤
Oh my gosh thank you so much!! I’m glad it resonated but also sad that you’re feeling such a similar way. Once the grief fog starts to lift, it’s super liberating to think of what you could do next!
Thank you so much! I have a redux of the Rider Waite by Lisa Sterle that is my most loved and most used deck. Nature/Nurture by Marcella Kroll is also really great. I think you might really like my old podcast (also called Persistent Bloom) that goes into more of the tarot/creativity links!
I had a very similar experience at Elam School of Fine Arts in NZ. What about sharing some of your favourite historic artists? I’d love to hear who inspires you.
NZ! So cool! I would love to share some of my favorite artists from art history. Perfect opportunity to get out a few of my favorite art books for the next video.
Thanks for letting me know! The sketchbook club link? That program ended for the season! Hoping to bring it back another time! Let me know if it was a different one!!
