Hopefully relatively soon? The support on this video has been so incredible and a bit overwhelming, but it's got me locked in and I'm determined to make part 2 as good as it can possibly be. College makes it hard, but I'd love to have it out within the month.
@@latenightoats dope content my brother from another. I see greatness in you keep it up. Life’s all about priorities, so school comes first then you can bless us with another vid. If you don’t mind where are you currently in school? Much love from Htown TX🖤❤️🖤
As a Nas fan who've seen him perform over 8 times, seen him grow from rap prodigy to rap GOAT, who was privileged to witness the MSG One Night Only concert, I approve this video. Great job sir! Peace and Blessings.
My only gripe was it was too short and the repetitive Cops Shot The Kid should’ve just been the hook. Overall it was a dope album with an even better message.
nas has defended his throne with this third album run, and nas is looking like he could top his peak where a lot of his peers have fallen off and their quality deteriorated. amazing video
This is amazing, sir. Most HipHop channels don't do such a thorough analysis of legendary acts like Nas - even as deserving as his recent projects have been. Great, great work. Also, that transition from KD2 to Magic was tight. It wasn't stupid at all. Keep it going, boss.
Coming from someone that was living in the same Borough at the same time Nas first album hit the streets and we all were witnesses to his growth, I have to say this was a masterful critique. Can't wait to hear the next part of this. Tight work FYI: DJ Premier & Guru make up the group Gangstarr, you said DJ Premier & Prodigy.
KD1,KD2, Magic and KD3 modern day hiphop classics ....soulful, boombap, alot of viable content while still maintaining the culture. One man,One mic....Nas
Great Video . When Magic dropped i was shoveling out side in a Classic Minnesota snow storm and bro you literally said it was like a blizzard. Pure Magic 🥶
Yo, this video was really well done. Big up salute. Nas is my all-time favorite MC. Who else is still rapping like this 30 Years in the game? If we're talking about absolute skill, longevity, lyricism, and style, Nas is on another level.
@@gravegaming2023 No, 8 years to reach 32 years. His career is counted from ‘99. ‘96 he wasn’t in the game, he was just an underground rapper trying to make it.
@@gravegaming2023 My friend actually used to rap with him during those times when he used to be broke and just tell people, “I want to be a rapper…”. Cool stuff. Look at him now
Ok ok, I'll go listen to all of these albums for 42069th time. Can't believe my favorite artist is dominating 2020s with quantity and quality there. Hit-boy for president!
I said this way back when I first heard Nas ..he is the Best & it aint close. I stand by that decades old statement..Good job reviewing the albums by the way.
I’m a huge Nas fan. Been following this brother for a while now…… you descriptions and explanations on this video were extremely dope!! Very much on point and accurate!! You have a new subscriber!
@@CJohnson3180 facts fam. I love them all but in my opinion Magic is perfect & blows the rest out of the water. Hit boys production is amazing but Nas’ lyrics & flow is as close we’ll get to old Nasir🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice one...are enjoyed every minute of your time on nas description of KD Trilogy..its fire and you did a great job Nas ..which why Nas is the king of them all ..no doubts..
Great video. Also, of note was that thanks to Nasir being underwhelming, Def Jam did not consider his commitment to them fulfilled…and that’s why he released the Lost Tapes 2 which also is considered ‘mid’, in 2019…also, Hit Boy produced the song Royalty on that album….kinda prophetic. Lol
Not because it was underwhelming, it was because it counted as half an album. You can’t not count an album based on what someone subjectively thinks. It sold well, 77k on 7 songs…and it came out a whole day late. That’s why The Lost Tapes 2 counted for Def Jam because ‘Nasir’ wasn’t a full length album, or enough songs to stream like a full album in todays music industry
When is the KD3 part coming dawg! I thoroughly enjoyed this and you saying KD2 was a significant improvement on KD1 was spot on! I can wait to hear your views about KD3 which I feel is infinitely better than all the other 3 albums...
The answer is that he was cooking a certified CLASSIC with KDIII! Man, that project was incredible from start to finish. Talk about building throughout a trilogy 🤌🏽
1. We need part 2, for King’s Disease 3, for all of us to give you your high 5’s. Nas said on One Mic, 6 went into you and I predict on the 7th track on his next project, that he talks how a King ate too much from one plate, but enough of this non-sense, King’s Disease 3 is a 10. Alright off to Seven Eleven 😂
Ugly is a dope beat but as a beat maker myself, Speechless took the cake but that's just my own opinion. Also a dope analysis of the KD trilogy including Magic.
Very well done!! Several claps!! I wish more media folks took time to properly research and put the effort their work I like you have. My only correction/gripe is in your introduction. Nas is long regarded as the greatest rapper of all time, not one of the greatest rappers of all time. Nas said it best on KD3 - "I didn't have to die so they could call me the great one, didn't take a couple of albums - people said it from day one."
That magic album is great probably one of his best albums besides illmatic that year we got an amazing blessing Az doe or die part 2 Az definitely is one of the greats in the game it would be a wonderful gift if Nas and Az do a album together and punish the game
King’s Disease is good, but it winning a grammy is ANOTHER case of popularity always winning because Alfredo is easily the best rap album of that year. Nas is the most recognizable rapper out of all those nominated.
Great video, didn't agree with many of your commentary points especially on KD 2 .. phony love and epmd 2 were two of the lesser tracks on the album. While you skipped over death row east, moments, and my Bible... I like KD1 better than KD2 KD 1 has more timeless classics... and you totally underrated Replace Me... Magic commentary was on point 🔥
