How NHAI making amazon jungle in INDIA | green highways mission , The National Green Highways Mission (NGHM) is a flagship program of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India, launched in 2015. The mission aims to develop green corridors along National Highways (NHs) for sustainable development and inclusive growth.
As of March 2023, over 24 crore trees and shrubs have been planted along NHs under the NGHM by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and over 16 crore trees and shrubs have been maintained. The mission has also generated employment for over 15 lakh people in rural areas.
