I really like the way you painted the light. Its the most easiest explanation (for me at least) that I've seen. Beautiful painting. Will have to give this technique a try.

Great video! I do find I blend too much, however sometimes with certain skies it works. But your technique of simply laying the paint on and just touching the other color so they mix is the blending process I can't wait to try. Also, I am a big fan of "light" so your technique for the sun and surrounding brightness is very very helpful. Thanks, Henry

thanks for that i reckon i am working the paint way to much and ending up loosing that vital light as you demonstrated very well in your video , i need to spend a lot more time working on this point .

I think sometimes there's a confusion in the minds of new artists between blending and how to treat edges. My take-away from watching your videos is to match shapes and values, then use the laminated photo reference to match colors. The thing is to just lay down the paint as best you can. Finally, at the end, determine where edges should be sharp and where they should be soft. Soft edges is where some blending can be done.
