I will show you How NOT to remove wrinkles from a projector screen. I got a fabric projector screen and was surprised by all the wrinkles it came with out of the box. I read online that you could iron them out, but that was a huge mistake on my end.

So glad I seen this video, I was just about to put the iron to mine, but instead I tried the low heat on the dryer with some damp wash clothes mentioned in your comments and it worked like a champ. Thank you!!!

Daaaang. Well thanks for sharing this with me. I have noticed that my green screen has gotten some wrinkles here and there. I'll know what NOT to do now. xD Though the steamer sounds like it'll have less of the expanding problem. Thanks for the tip!

Damp towel in dryer with screen, low heat and worked fine for mine, looks like same screen. Just make sure you use low or ultra low heat setting!

Why even buy those screens..?? Maybe for outside use, but either way they look flinsy and cheap. Spend money on a pull down screen. They last longer plus it give more of a theater feel.

Hi! This screens are specially designed for cheap projectors, bc they reflect light way better than any other solid surface. I checked mine at night, and it reflects lights like a cristal. So that it's why, I recommend one of this cheap screen for budget projectors, bc you can enjoy your content, with bigger picture and colors, as you can locate your projector far from the screen, without this screen, you must locate the projector near the wall, bc the picture looks like washed. It would be a lot easier just to paint the wall white rather than going through all the trouble ironing it and hanging it on the world that just doesn't look good no matter what you do. Anyway, you tried. Thanks for your effort and sharing.

I agree, if you have a solid wall that probably will be a better approach. This was my first projector and screen , when I shot this video I didn't know what to expect 😁

Good tip man, glad you didn't do too much damage!! I recently got a projector for $18 from a thrift store that we're going to put in our camper.. this screen would probably be perfect for that!

These screens suck, don't do fabric based, use Vinyl, nylon or plastic screens. Good ones are Vinyl. That being said I need to figure out how to get shipping crease out of a Vinyl one. Why I ended up here.

They have outdoor screens made of a stretch fabric & grommets all around it so you can avoid this

they say you can use an iron as long as you have a towel between the iron and screen and on the lowest setting

someone mentioned throwing it in the dryer in mid temp for a few mins. For e the steamer seemed to work better, but did not remove all the wrinkles

I think the video is wrong. The cause of the problem is that the screen material was "gathered" when it was sewn to the border. Look at the wavy fabric at the border. That was created when it was sewn. Unless that border happens to be elastic, nothing will solve the problem.

Wow, that came wrinkly as heck! Would definitely recommend going with at least a pull down screen. You can get something for around $75. You could have tried to spray some warm water on it with a spritz bottle. That is how I get the wrinkles out of my photography backdrop. Trick I learned from a RU-vid video. Not sure if it also would work on that but it might.

yeah, I was all excited to show how I was going to setup the screen.. instead of trashing the video, decided to do twist on it .I will def try the spritz trick. I am not sure how long I will be in this place, but def looking into getting a pull down that is about 100" . Thanks!!

you should try it and let me know !! What ever you do , don't Iron it 😂.. Some people mentioned putting it in the clothes dryer for a few mins in low settings would also help

I tried projecting it on my brown fridge but it didn't look good, I'm now in the market for a white fridge that I believe will work nicely.

As a pro installer I do 5 projector screens a week. Buy a tensioned screen. But If you do not buy a tensioned screen that’s fine just wrap it tighter behind the frame even if you have to pull it real tight try to get some wood around the backside of the frame use small screws so you have an area that you can compress the screen material down and keep it stretched tightly. But there is much better screens than that. I’m not familiar with that particular quality it looks very poor.

the fabric was stretched from the beginning as you can see form the video. the ironing did not stretch it. I am sure the seam material is different from main material and it shrunk
