There are idiots, and then there are IDIOTS, and I truly couldn't believe that I was seeing guys surfing on the famous 7 train FROM THE STADIUM.
Anyway, the New York Mets were playing the Cincinnati Reds, which meant that it was my first chance to see Elly De La Cruz in person, and of course I was happy to see Joey Votto again -- but those plans didn't quite work out.
I still had an INSANE day and caught five home runs on the fly during batting practice (!!) so get ready for all kinds of action.

I don’t even bother with subways anymore tbh, when I went to Citi this year, someone got sick on the train in front of us so it and all the trains behind it (including ours) had to go back. BTW, love that shirt!!! Wish they had them when I saw you down there last season!

Zach, your videographer is amazing!!! She knows exactly when to follow the flight of the ball, the basepaths, the outfielder, or you. Just great instincts and I can imagine focusing on every pitch to get the perfect shot, probably 300 times a game. And that is not counting B.P.

The Reds are stacking up their roster for the future, will actually be surprised if they don’t squeak into the playoffs this year, but running out of games…🤷🏼 Closest thing I’ve got to a pro home team here, though Chicago (both), Detroit, Cleveland, Kansas City and St. Louis have had their fair share of players I’ve rooted for over the years, but nothing like The Big Red Machine of my formidable years…⚾️

Sorry I couldn’t be there that night… had to go home that weekend or I woulda gone. Glad you still had fun without me (and despite it being more crowded). You’re gonna catch a Pete Alonso home run someday for sure… but maybe I need to be there in order for it to happen. You’re definitely gonna catch another home run with me in the building someday. Zack cares more about quality over quantity now that’s he’s gotten over 10,000 balls as of 2017 (as that was his goal for a long time). Zack does want to get 100 balls at every current stadiums and 100 game home runs (should happen next year). And Zack would like to get a home run at every stadium. And a World Series home run and an All Star Game home run.

Damn those people surfing the 7 train are DUMMIES. I’m better behaved than that when I’m drunk and those people weren’t even drunk. I’ve seen lots of crazies in NY riding the subway a lot having worked at Yankee Stadium this season and staying in NYC at my grandparents off and on this summer, but nothing like that.
