Finally an analysis that gives forest the credit they deserve. Its not the brentford or brighton model of money ball. The great players stayed because they knew this is a team on the rise. There is an emotional and historic pride to this team. Show me a better back 4 in the premier leagie. Weve kept the big money names like murillo like MGW. CHO was in the bin at chelsea over one serious injury. How much would united fans take elanga over anthony. These are serious footballers making a point. At brighton forest are favourites by a country mile.
First analysis of the game I’ve watched that took note of what Forest did well as opposed to obsessing on what Liverpool did badly. Very good. Subscribed.
Fantastic analysis. Get him on TV ASAP. Waaaay better than so many of the pundits. This man knows ball. I've watched every Forest game on international television since the promotion. We're a MUCH better side this year. Murillo is incredible, as is Aina. MGW is the best English CAM right now (yes... I'd play him above Grealish or foden). Honeslty, we're quality. I thought 14th was about right this year, but im revising to 10th. Massive season incoming. Dont forget... since promotion, we've already beat Newcastle and Utd away last year. Villa at home, Liverpool at home, Chelsea away... we're no clowns. Nuno has them operating nice and neat.
Mate very kind words, thankyou so much. Yeah I'll admit I did fear for you guys coming into the season a little. But with Murillo and Milenkovic there's as good a CB partnership as you'll find outside of the elite. Some decent midfielders. Wingers who can hurt teams and as you said, MGW. Forest will shock many a team this year
I completely agree with everything you said at 6:17 about Trent. I'm worried about his frustration building up. It is evident in his body language and even in game decisions. Very insightful analysis. Subscribed for more :)
Thankyou mate, that means a lot! Yeah, I didn't say it in my analysis cause I feel like this is a quote that could've caused some reactions. But there's something a little bit Paul Pogba about it, and not in a good way
@@Zedders Yeah I definitely get why you wouldn't wanna put that in the video and it is apparent how you try to pick your words carefully there :)) Since people see Trent as our golden boy (and he is) they struggle to listen to any sorts of criticism towards him. I can sense his desire to prove himself since he gets critisized a ton. That combined with his arrogance can cause him to take the games personally and damage the team's chemistry and structure. I just hope he contributes to the team in a positive way, being well aware of his massive potential impact.
@uralgokceel7367 this is I think the line which people struggle with, sometimes criticism gets seen as not Rating someone but I think Trent is fantastic, and these types of performances where as you say, other factors let his top level quality down
As a Liverpool fan who obsessively watches every game and “behind the scenes” media, I don’t think there is friction between Slot and Trent. Liverpool have struggled to break down low blocks for some time now, and I’ve seen this same Trent performance more times than I’d like to remember. If Trent doesn’t sign a new contract, inevitably the media will make it about Slot, but the reality is there are a lot more factors
@@andrewleivers7686 Then produced the quality to win the match. I have listened to a lot of stuff over the last two days and It sounds like we were supposed to roll over and let them win. Those days are over! We are a proper team with good squad depth. COYR!
I think you got your analysis spot on - very good. I would argue our players weren’t intentionally aiming to win free kicks when we broke forward in the first half, they were genuinely trying to break forward, Liverpool’s defenders were just a bit lazy and fouled them in low risk areas. That’s what made it stop / start. It was a bit of a lazy disinterested performance all round from Liverpool. But thanks all the same.
It may be a case of complacency and saving their legs for the upcoming CL match. Maybe they take notice that NF was still undefeated in their 1st 3 games. So, Nuno is definitely doing something right.
The only reason I say that is with the signing of JWP that becomes an added threat for forest. If you have him, may as well use his set pieces to good effect
Brilliant result for Forest and the last 2 yrs i have pulled my hair out watching us but saturday we were excellent we blunted liverpools attacks and in the 2nd half especially we created chances that Elanga should have taken but played his, part in a great goal . If Forest can blunt Liverpooll game plan at Home Man city Arsenal etc will be able to expliot them aswell COYR ❤
Dont get your hopes high. Liverpool have always been susceptible to low blocks. Arsenal and City are more difficult to beat as they will suffocate you with their possession.
The same teams you mentioned if you play them the same way then you should also win...right? But you won't and that's the sadness of teams like yours, you always raise your game against Liverpool but don't even try against anyone else.
On the day Liverpool had more of the ball but Forest had the more clear cut chances and Nuno outsmarted Slot tactically and if your honest you will know that
Excellent analysis. Slotball is getting more and more predictable after 3 matches. Nuno is able to devise a tactic to choke the creativity out of Slot. It is up to Slot to figure it out or continue to stick to his old tactics and expect miracle.
@@renickjeune8761 I guess it is Slot's job to hack the parked bus that is troubling us for the past few seasons. And we will find out very soon if Slot is a shrewd tactician or some one who is stubborn with his tactics like Ange.
Does share some similarities with Ange, the build up pattern for example from both is way too easy for an opposition to nullify, no width created and a well structured team can keep them out
@@Zedders We will find out whether there are any more rabbits inside the Slot's hat in the next few matches. If FSG are not backing him with quality players, he will just become another Poche.
Forest had one opportunity that was brilliantly put away. The plan was to defend, deny space, and stifle Liverpool. couldn't break the low block. Forest fully deserved their win, but I doubt if they can keep up that energy for 38 games.
I dont understand why defenders dont just hang on to the ball and pass the ball amongst themselves until the opposition decides to press... I feel that this would give time for mid fielders to make their runs to lose markers and have wingers on their toes ready to receive the ball. Sure Liverpool defenders would be in their own half which is risky but at least it would bring rival attackers and midfielders out their low block, leaving defenders exposed to counter attacks.
Kind words mate, thankyou! Difficult cause its one thing to see what a top level manager and speak about it after the fact, another thing to have to deal with players on a personal basis and come up with these game plans as opposed to analysing them
Weird that he's taken him off in the 2 games he played really well and left him on in the game he didn't. He'd obviously playing some sort of psychological game with Trent, just have no clue what
@Zedders ya, I have no clue either. I know that when Jurgen was there, Trent did not have more power than him. However, this dynamic has changed. Slot needs to be careful with Trent. Personally, I think he's a great passer, but take that away, and he has nothing. I'm in the minority when I say he is a liability.
Having six at back and not playing football that's the tactic to use against any Ball playing team despite people paying stupid money for tickets to see a football match .
Yeah I'm sure those Forest fans in that away end were gutted to have paid for their ticket. Almost as if the home time that's considered one if the top 3 teams in the country with an elite squad should take control and come up with alternative ways to give fans their moneys worth? Crazy right?
These guy believes all the players played fantastic. Forrest just stayed back and scored one goal on a breakaway. Most of the Liverpool players did not play a fantastic game! Too many charts and worlds.
You obviously know a lot about football. I'd say Forest worked really hard for their win and Liverpool were outplayed. They had plenty of the ball but no place to go, no time to shoot. Most of the Liverpool players didn't play a fantastic game, to use your phrase, because they weren't allowed to. Another day maybe it's different but in this game they were outplayed. It's not as if Forest were bombarded and luck to win. They controlled the game. Give credit where it's due.
if forest hadn't scored there would be no video about how they exposed a flaw in liverpool's gameplan. It only worked because of a goal from an individual piece of skill. Liverpool played badly. Simple as.
But they did score... and that goal contributed to a result and that result allows you to contextualise the performances around it. That's kind of how it works 😅
