I really like your video, i think Vincent kompany is a trainer that understands when there is things to improve and I have the impression that he find the solution for that. Because in Bayern last match against Stuttgart, Davis kinda taked the the role of bringing the ball up from below that musiala had. I think it’s a very good idea because it improve almost all the things that you was talking about. First of all Davies was often lower on the pitch than before and because of this when there was a transition of Stuttgart he was almost every time here to help with his incredible speed. Also because of this there was less need of attaquant help for carrying the ball and so muller was often the creative player in the right space and Kane did the same on the left on which permit gnabry to be more on the side and to have a creative player who could help him. I think the Bayern this year is very interesting because Vincent kompany have really big ambitions for the team and always change tactical things for improving the team and I’m very impatient to see how Bayern gonna do against Barcelona who also attack and press a lot

I wonder how Bayern will cope with Barcelona pressing accompanied by man marking which Hansi has implemented. The game between Barcelona and Bayern Munich will be interesting and testing Kompany tactics against the best tactician Hansi Flick. By the way, Barcelona under Hansi doesn't defend deeply in front of their box. Hansi prefer highline defense in the middle of pitch while his winger/s do the pressing and Lewandowski go deep. Almost all Bayern players will be man marked except Bayern fullbacks which is a trap Barcelona because once one of the fullbacks receive the ball, he will be surrounded. High pressing, taking the ball back quickly,defending in the middle of pitch and quick counterattacks.

We had 7-10 out for most of last season and already struggling with injury, we know with some back and the new signings then hopefully we’ll be fine. Damsgaard’s rise has been huge too, Collins is a quality CB next to another one in Pinnock. Mbeumo is quality.

I think Pep guardiola brought this DNA of high possession and high pressing football at bayern. And it is too hard to be taken off. I remember Jupp Heynckes bayern scoring 7 clear goals without conceding against Barcelona with only *36 percent possession*. Thats how effective they were. Ever since pep came, almost every manager tries to play possession based football, and anyone who doesnt play attacking football is considered a failure and anti-bayern dna. Julian Nagelsmann was somewhat successful in taking it off and would have taken it off completely if he wasnt unfairly sacked. Thomas tuchel was under such criticism because of it despite reaching ucl semi finals. Bayern fans were only mad because he couldnt win the tinpot league for another season lol.
@shahidakram5933
@shahidakram5933 9 дней назад
@@ahmedzaman2661 exactly mate, Possession based football was not really "Bayern DNA" as the claim it. It was when Pep Guardiola arrived and turned bayern into Barcelona. I have always told people Bayern 2019-20 was merely a success but it wasnt as big as 2012-13 Bayern, because that bayern was a complete monster, an empire to be precise. Jupp Heynckes made a team that played highly effective and adaptable football. If he had stayed a little longer, maybe the story of Bayern would've been different today.

@@ahmedzaman2661 Julian Nagelsmann came at the wrong time for bayern and that resulted into his unfair sacking. In the two group stage matches against Barcelona, he gave me exactly same vibes as Jupp Heynckes bayern vs Barcelona, less posession, less shots on target, but more goals. He had the vision to bring the old bayern back but he was too unlucky. Max Eberl and freund would have let him stay.

To me the only thing that Kompany has to do is make Davies the left CB while in possesion. There is not a faster fullback in the world and he is definsively only good when he protects the space behind the CB with velocity and pace and also your shape stays the same but you just swapped Davies with Kimmich or Pavlovic in possesion.
@Zedders
@Zedders 17 дней назад
Palhinha needs to come in too. Pavlovic is a good player but he's not great defending the transition and can get exposed, which then doesn't help with Kim & Upa as they then come to engage even more

@@ZeddersIf Kompany wants to play this 3-1-6 for me there is only one solution. Starting a back four of Davies-Upamecano-Goretzka-Boey or Laimer. Then in posession Goretzka becomes the midifield pivot and Davies and Boey become the left and right sided centre backs with Upa between them. No team in the world has so much recovery pace. @@cashews1000He can because Goretzka is an all rounder. Upamecano and Kim have zero business being at Bayern and Goretzka can’t be worse then them. Goretzka has 46 assists in over 200 hundred games for Bayern which proves he is good on the ball and he has the strenght and pace to play the position. Compared to Palhinha and Kim he is Kroos on the ball. Palhinha is a misfit in this team and it seems a player the board wanted and not Kompany. Pavlovic has to play every game because he is a generational talent and the numbers prove that. As a Bayern fan since 2011 iam absolutely 100% agreeing with you, and there is Barcelona coming up with our former coach, who won us the sextuple... Hansi Flick will exploit Kompany's system so hard, you remember 8 - 2? Thats what iam thinking about, but in reverse... Iam already having nightmares before that game... Iam still trying to decide... watch that game and ruin my night, or watch the RB Leipzig v Liverpool game with my father, because he is a Liverpool fan. I dont know yet.. What i know, is in that game Barca v Bayern, the clear favourites are Barcelona. They have their own defensive problems, but with this suicidal tactics, and Raphinha and Lamina Yamal and Lewandowski vs Upa and Kim, nahh... Lets just dont talk about that. I completely changed my mind about Kompany after the Frankfurt game. Its just so freakin easy to glide past through the non-existent defense. All you need, 2 fast players, who can dribble and run fast with the ball, and thats it. Thats all you need vs Bayern to score a goal, because Neuer aint saving anything. He is cooked. Bayern seriously needs to get a new GK too, and no hate towards Neuer he is a LEGEND, but his perforance getting worse every year which is sad.... He is old... Its finished. With this tactics to work, Bayern need at least 2 new CBs, WORLD CLASS CBs, a new Olise type winger in the left side, a new GK and hope and pray your attackers finish every chance to outscore your opponent and hope that your GK will turn into prime Casillas and stops, saves everything. About Guerreiro, Kompany forcet to use him, because both Stanisic and Boey is injured atm.

How many times did Brighton's high line get played through? Werner playing poor passes? Maddison getting into good positions and not making the right decision. Not thinking Spurs had the better off that first half is a bit mad. Being 2-0 up was VERY deserved at that point

@@Zedders Wo, I didn't say Spurs weren't the better side in the first half, they were. 2-0 was deserved enough, but I disagree that it was only end quality stopping it from being a cricket score. @Zedders 18 дней назад
I mean the cricket score but was hyperbolic ill give you that. The thing I don't like about using XG is it just registers shots, it doesn't register players not making movements that they should to get on the end of shots, also according to XG a shot ranks the same no matter who is taking it, which obviously isn't the truth. The difference between Spurs and Brighton's defensive performance in either half was Spurs were so mistake heavy, gifting Brighton chances. Brighton were exposed by the limitations of implementing Hurzeler's system
@digit432
@digit432 17 дней назад
Ye I agree with you in some ways, Madison's goal should never have gone in. And welbeck should have scored, which basically would have made it 1-1. Obviously spurs were much more on top than that though. Xg isn't really a great metric to show that though because spurs had lots of chances that should have lead to goals but didn't even lead to shots, think of Werner's terrible cross in the first few minutes. These chances register nothing on xg because there was no shot. And yes obviously "cricket score" is hyperbole 😂

You can be a top top manager, lets say top 10 in europe, if your players just simply not at the level, and unable to do your instructions, movements properly(late runs, bad passes etc). It just simply will not work. Credit to the full Brentford team here, not just to Thomas Frank. The players were doing exactly what they had to do, properly. Thats why they won this game 5-3, thats why they can score an early goal from kickoff... Brentford in the last 4 games(even against MAN CITY!) scored under 1-2 minutes right after kick off. Thats crazy... They are literally using kick-off glitch. xD Once again, credit to the full team. I was watching their game against Man City. They literally could have scored more than 1 goal. Man City were strugling defending them in the 1st half.
