In this edition of BIH we take you back in time to the story of how the desire to amend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to give a third term to the then President of Nigeria - President Olusegun Obasanjo, was frustrated from several quarters and never allowed to see the light of the day. It was one moment in Nigeria’s history when the majority of citizens collapsed the dividing walls of ethnicity, religion, politics and the likes and forged a common bond to oppose what citizens saw as a conscious attempt to institutionalize sight-tight leadership in Nigeria. It was not the Parliament that frustrated Obasanjo, Atiku was very active and played the bigger role being sponsors of most of the Pdp governor and enough money to pay the senators. Atikus aim is to take over Obasanjo and Obasanjo tenure elongation will undermine Atikus emilokan strategies.

You and who? How much was he having before he became President? Where did he get money to build his Hilltop house in Ota, the farm that carried full community and the University? You're the only one wishing for him because he's as corrupt as the rest, if not worse.

What I'd like to ask is, if the 3rd term bid had succeeded, was Obj going to have an extra 4yrs only added to the 8yrs he's done already or the 8yrs would have been considered NOT part of the tenure, in other words, 2007-2011 would have been his first tenure under the new constitution??
