Sorry, probably a dumb question. Are the oil companies the only industry to effect the planet negatively? I mean, all these trees that have been removed and continue to be, can’t be good either. Also, I did some calculations on population vs the amount of land available for farming. I don’t think we have enough farmland to feed China let alone the world. Probably should not be building cities over farmable land. Oh, and our water? We’re f#cked! Anybody see how corporate intensive farming wastes water? The main country protecting the fossil fuel industry endangering the planet has less than 5% of the world population. Profits of the industry benefits less than 1% of that countrys' inhabitants. How support of less than 0.05% of people in the world allow the industry to continue destroying the planet with impunity is mindboggling !

The comment at 21:03 about oil platforms being designed to be higher off Canada and Norway (by 2m, in 1989) in preparation for sea levels rising don't make sense. By the time the sea level rises by even 10 cm these platforms and their oil fields will be defunct/depleted. Also, strengthening 'an oil pipeline between Norway and Germany' has nothing to with global warming. It is no doubt an insurance issue brought on by events like the Exxon Valdez disaster, Deepwater Horizon and possible trawler accidents (whether real or nefarious).

Sea level rising is not the cause of climate. It's the drilling and pumping out the water from within the earth to the surface. Where do u expect that water to go.

Let's get a bunch of industries that are NOT affected by temperature swings of the planet to do their own studies into the relationship between CO2, heat, the Sun, the Earth's natural cycles, and ocean rise. Both sides have done their own studies to push their own narrative to the point that you have to pick a side and go with it. You're either a denier or a doomologist based on who you believe. We need factual, non-biased scientific evidence that is not funded to "find" one thing - just the truth. We will then find out once and for all if climate change is natural, what effect man has on this, and whether warming comes before CO2 rise or the other way around, and how ocean rise is linked - what drives what. We have geological evidence, but depending on who you believe they always twist the evidence to suit their narrative. But there is one simple logic that is undeniable - the Earth is 4.5 billion years old and still here today, so there is evidence that despite going through many ice ages and hot spells, the Earth bounces back and cycles through these changes ALL BY ITSELF without man's input. The question that needs an answer is how much of an influence does man actually have? How much CO2 does man input vs the planet naturally? What are acceptable levels of CO2 and all the other elements in our atmosphere? We may just be along for the ride that Mother Nature has in store for us. We may not have any impact on what happens to the planet, or be able to change climate, even if we do eventually face a real, documented crisis. Man is not as big as our minds believe we are...
