The Las Vegas fast-food worker is slightly obese herself. It's obvious that she doesn't eat as healthy as she tried to portray. And that guy who was at the doctor's office, what do they mean by his wife "used to be obese" ? She's still obese.
Where is the Labor Department in this story? Why are business establishments able to get away with below minimum wage pay. What I see are hardworking people doing their best to survive. Losing a job is truly horrible with the ever rising cost of living. Even the barest existence still require some cost. This is a heartbreaking documentary.I hope everyone makes it through the bad economy. It is in fact a global crisis that affects the poor all over the world.
I live in Finland and our fast food is not cheap at all and portions are quite small. In the last few years, there has been an increase in American fast-food chains like Taco Bell and Burger King even in the most remote places. They also have meal deals targeted at young people which has also seen an increase in obesity in school-age children. Most people cook at home even though groceries are quite expensive. Eating out whether fast food or gourmet restaurants is still considered a treat something you may do on a weekend or a day out it can't be a substitute for daily food. However, locals do buy quite a lot of pre-made TV dinners in the supermarket for their everyday meals as an alternative to cooking. I can't imagine a restaurant concept like that one in Las Vegas, you definitely would not have a lot of customers here. Currently, the government is considering a higher tax on sweets because Finnish people eat a lot of candy throughout their lives. All schools offer healthy meals to children including breakfast porridge and a healthy assortment of salads, soups, vegetarian meals, and breads ranging from light to dark rye (the darker the more preferred by the locals). At workplaces, almost all workplaces have restaurants on site that serve a healthy buffet. It's really important to have normal and accessible grocery stores in all areas regardless of the economic situation. We have good regulations which ensures everyone has access to good healthy foods regardless of their location or economic background.
Body positivity is literally what’s wrong with America! We live in a day and age where it’s okay to be a failure and you should be rewarded for those failures. STOP telling others it’s okay when it’s clearly not. Live your life as you please but do not push your ideas that are detrimental to health just because it makes you feel better about your self….
It is most satisfying to be physically fit and comfortable than eating high calorie foods that after overeating...you only feel guilty and becoming weak in rejecting food particularly junk food.THE MORE YOU EAT, THE MORE YOU WANT TO EAT !
Couple decades later we'll know how America with Ukraine instigated Russia to attack Ukraine just to make Putin the bad guy infront of its people and the world. Im not saying Saddam was a good guy nor is Putin but we have worse leaders who has murdered more and manipulated the whole world again and again.. but just like the fools that felt for Bush's lies and manipulation, the same kind of fools are fallin for the same lies and manipulation again. P.s. I can't believe there's still so many people that still supports and believes the American government.
