Here’s something you are unlikely to have ever thought about, but it’s very interesting when you know the story! When was the first toothbrush made, how was it invented, by whom and why? The story relates to the English toothbrush inventor William Addis (he of Addis toothbrush fame) William was in prison at the time of his invention. In this video I’ll explain how the idea of the toothbrush came about, how William made it and how he made his subsequent fortune
The family form of Addis Toothbrushes remained in family ownership up until recent years. Addis still manufacture toothbrushes and make around 100 million a year!
