dale cavese and the 'balotelli' chant have been used in italia and argentina for years. udinese , river plate, roma, boca etc use 'ole ole ola' (balotelli chant) for ages

I remember going to watch Portsmouth play at Stevenage in the league cup in like 2011 and they sang this song for a good hour straight and for about half hour after the game and I've been obsessed with it since. Just wish our fans sang it too haha

it is well known in Argentina thanks to BOCA JRS. In El Salvador we use it as well. We tend to borrow south american chants. Peace 👍

I follow football & the supporter culture very actively, I stand in the supporters stand in every one of my club's home games, some domestic away games and some European away games, but I don't remember hearing this chant once.

Funny thing is that being a song originally composed in Caracas, Venezuela, this chant arrived in the Curva Sur of Caracas FC fans from Argentinian Boca Jrs. ;-)

That chant became famous in south america and japan because of boca. South america is obvious and in Japan because of the late 1990s and early 2000s when boca played the club world cup various times IN JAPAN. there are so many fans of boca in Japan

in southamerica its known as argentine, its not really known wich club sang it first, like most of the chants. you will see people from san lorenzo and boca claiming it more than any other club, but it might even have an origin in the lower leagues.
