I LOVE this-- wish I were younger-- I'd have you build me a home... (make the layout for you and have you bulid it..) but I'm 67 and not in good health-- probably won't be around long enough to bother.. but I LOVE the style and the methods-- BEAUTIFUL-- wish MORE people would use this.
@@syalalaputri1802 I thank youf or the encouragement- but there are issues you don't know about. I got mashed between 2 trucks in 99 and it's causing inner isses they can't seem to get control over.. and I feel weaker and worse daily....just didn't want to get into that.. :) BUT thanks again.
I like the idea of this for building, I like the shape of the exterior, I like the idea of having a multi layered, interconnected dome structure, integrated into terraces and terrain. Some concerns I have, one rainflow off the roof, without gutters or a way to guide and collect rain, is it left to travel down the exterior and be dumped next to the structure? The interior, unless you frame the inside, at least in certain areas, maybe up to the 8' level you are left with using custom made cabinetry and appliances are made for square interior walls. Also framing inside, at least partially allows for the plumbing and electrical to remain hidden, yet accessible. Overall, I think a blending of this building style and traditional building methods allow for a visually appealing and functional home.
Exactly what I was looking for? Just sad that everything is based on profit although they gas light us by stating..."affordable!" Affordable for whom is always the?...
@@melissasanders2711The problem is, a company can not run without profit. They can make House for homeless people but is should be funded by the government. Companies do not have infinite source of money. They have to pay employees salary, oparation cost etc etc. But yes, companies only caring about money, doesn't give a fuk about who is dying or who is living because of them are bad.
@@jghifiversveiws8729It's not complicated. End all monopolies and allow true free markets, which have never occurred before. We call what we have a free market system, but it isn't and never was. What would happen if we demanded true free markets? In a relatively short amount of time, global socialism would organically emerge. Not top down Soviet socialism. True bottom up socialism. Why/how? Because 'economies of scale' is real. This was known as the 'Marginal Revolution' in the 19th century. In essence, it means cheaper by the dozen. What is the cheapest, most efficient economy of scale? A socialized economy. The only reason we aren't socialist today is because markets aren't and have never been free. I actually am optimistic about this. I think the math will eventually win. When? I have no idea. Not today. We need to be more technically advanced to the point where average people are tech literate. Children today are, so perhaps in 50 years.
Yes Patrick - as a matter of fact he has and he is educated on his market- Monolithic domes is a slightly different air form technology FYI . His dad's technology is awesome and unique and its a great interview and presentation -Thanks Nicolo!
We would like to see it in Brazil. My mother talks about a dome that was made with a baloon and concrete probably during the 60s at my home city, Sorocaba. Finally I discovered the name of this technic, and I am a house builder... Interesting.
Many of the original BiniShells were dismantled / abandoned, unfortunately. Details vary, but they don't seem to have the long term durability as other thin shell domes.
Much of the technology has changed, where originally they were using standard weight 5k Psi crete now Air entrained crete that surpasses 5k Psi standard at 1/3rd the weight makes this tech worth revisiting.
Comment...1 You know if you add 00.03 of graphine to the concrete it becomes so much stronger and it can self repair itself. And if you add Quantum dots coated in...... and or nanoparticles coated in..... it becomes basically a screen and a solar panel and a super conductor if you have everything coated and everything mixed right and concreted in proper Proportions in the right areas. Everything I just said has all been made. But what I want to see is if YOU ARE UP TO THE CHALLENGE???? IF YOU CAN DO IT MAKE THIS HOME ILL COME WORK FOR YOU!!!
the biggest cost of housing is the land cost, not construction. This is doing nothing for housing afforability especially since this building style requires a larger footprint to accommodate the curved and sloped edges.
I love the idea of housing being functional and artistically beautiful, but I think this particular idea needs some tweaking. These houses are beautiful, but in terms of efficiency, spheres aren’t ideal for maximizing usable space. And I do wonder about the structural integrity of these buildings over time and how they are repaired. I love this concept and hope to see more like it.
@@patrickeh696 A 2,400 sqft Monolith will cost about $330,000. You think a Binishell would cost more? Also, I've tried finding the differences between the two and can't find much other than what's on their own websites. Any direction you can point me to?
I had an idea similar to this, but it was like a three bedroom, two bathrooms, a pantry, living room, and the kitchen in the center. It also had escape hatch in the kitchen. In case of flood's. I call it the Three Pig Syndrome. Because of how they continue to build the same house's year after year. With the same results. 😵💫 Now here you guys are that will change everything in areas where Tornado's are out of control. Yes it's about time. 👍🙏😎
I love this, i bet as usual governments are in the way with garbage beruocracy in terms of building regulations that hinders building like this, but I hope that will change. Thank you for thinking differently
I wonder how they insulate this. The structure seems super strong and not too thick, but it would absorb huge amounts of heat. Without insulation it would be unlivable in summer and any cold climate would be too cold in winter. Adding insulation after the pour to the inside would be a massive process. I can see a process that sprays on a render skin, then an insulating foam, then the concrete.
There is another version of this doom houses.. they are called foam doom homes... there they use polythene ( spelling? ) foam instead of concrete and go with stucco over it. I think that is great solution to insulating issues.. I think that company based of the Japan is doing that type of housing.
Actually - with earth domes anyway- it's cool inside and always remains a stable temperature and because of the shape of the dome it circulates air and therefore heat and cooling that you may use within the home. I don't know about the concrete ones but a little research into it should let us know ;)
'insulate inside the shell' would only temper the air environment. Air is a poor storer of temperature. Insulation outside the shell creates a thermal mass to temper the living quarters and interior structure as an extension of the planet thermal mass, and increases thermal efficiency.
Cheaper, fire-proof, better for the environment, more beautiful, rot-proof, safer if a tree falls on it, 300% better noise insulation, no shocks with animals or acorns falling on a metal roof, less of a view impediment, able to be partially or fully underground and much faster to construct= quite a deal.
COME ON EVERYONE!!!! IF YOU REALLY ARE A GOOD PERSON AT HART I CHALLENGE EVERYONE TO PITCH IN ON THIS PROJECT!!! BECAUSE THIS WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING!!!! TELL ME WHY THIS WORLD CHANGING LIFE CHANGING INNOVATING TECHNOLOGY!!! PROVE ME WRONG. PROVE TO ME IT CAN'T BE DONE!!!!
If I think about India, it would be difficult to accommodate people living in slums because we are running out of land. Multistory buildings are the only option. If you could come up with a balloon that can create a 2 or 3 story building that would be a great solution for us 😊
every house needs fundament, and plumbing, and windows, doors, insulation from water and cold, and in the end cost would be the same as normal house if not more.
Comment.............4. And final comment unless you want to hear more or take up the challenge!!! I have almost $10.000.00 in lab equipment at home. And if you are serious lets do this!!!
Comment.....2 And their is some organizations that grow small polarized crystals to magnetic North the Crystals keep their charge after they die. And if the concrete is similar to how roman concrete is made with a nice ""self repair like how it gets harder over time. But this time. When the structure is being sprayed it has a nutrient and water and organisms that makes the tiny crystals. maby 2-4 layers of each at right mixture and when it repairs its self it concretes that contracted every into Tesla Coils inside and outside the home and property. And then after you have got the the desired amount of crystals you coate it with...next comment
How many actual structures are realized? Ive seen RDJs. And many older models. If its a reusable balloon shows us the reproduced results. Addressing homelessness?!?! You highlight mansions
No the construction technique is remarkable different. Google it. Did iPhone rip-off the LG Prada? In overall look, yes, but the details, the insides, were quite different and much more successful as a machine. The Binishells inflated from the ground. That was the key difference. They may be doing it differently now, this video doesn't make it perfectly clear. Anyway, the Neff method is so obvious I don't think it could be patented.
I wonder why the guy isn't educated on his market? Monolithic domes have been around for DECADES and he has never heard of them? Kills all his credibility right there
Actually Bini Domes, with today's technologies, can be set up easily in less than 12 hours. Spraying insulation using silicone rubber foam or grancrete on the inside will be easy. In fact the membrane can be a stay-in-place basalt fiber fabric reinforced silicone rubber foar Ekor geopolymer mineral plastic that can be sprayed with grancrete and/or silicone rubber foam. The Concrete can use geopolymer that can harden and cure in 10 to 15 minutes, meaning rapid mixing, rapid pouring, rapid levelling by vibrators even though it contain's enough plasticizers to make it self-levelling and then mixing enough silica fume to make it highly plastic like taffy and a bubble gum and inflating it within 8 to 10 minutes at full inflation before it starts to harden and cure is just right. Geopolymer concrete does not conduct either extreme heat or cold.
@@patrickeh696 True, and these shells have exposed concrete to the outside which mean eventually all these structures will leak unlike a monolithic dome.
Comment..........3 QUANTUM DOTS coated with..... on them and or / nano particles or even some bucky balls or nano tubes. Do you see where I'm going here??? There is even some organisms that purduce electricity. So now you have a home that is a basically a -battery-maby super conductor with it Producing it's own electricity pan concentrated crystals polarized and whatever direction they died in. So you could make a under ground in the shape of the TESLA VALUE. And have some tiny crystals in a liquid metal that is mixed so as to have a good way to be flowing in the TESLA VALUE and in each center is a small amplifier or / even tiny generators that helps build up the magnetic field and electric fields. Man what if you really did build this??? I I guarantee you elon muskwould be your best friend
