Truly a genius, he truly affected my life with his story in a way it changed me forever. I REALLY hope he would write more, it doesn't even have to be AOT related. I just want more of his unique ideas and writings.

Suppose that you were sitting down at this table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your 'left'? Or the one on your 'right'? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is 'correct' too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute 'society' with the 'Universe'. The correct answer is that 'It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.' ...Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there's no choice but for others to also take the 'right' napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is 'society'... Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is a Republic? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of 'right or left?'! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who 'takes the napkin first' must be someone who is respected by all. It's not that anyone can fulfill this role... Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the 'losers'.

Tho his ending create one of the biggest controversy of anime-manga history

The manga ending was controversial but the anime ending was one of the most loved ones in its history

@@avid4288 i think it's because of damage control. Isayama his editor and the anime staff seen how controversial the manga ending is with the fans and during the two year gap between aot manga and anime ending they decided to a lot of damage control.
@avid4288

@@aliefalyansyah5996How was it a damage control when beside some few lines 99% of the anime ending was the same as the manga ending

Controversial doesn't mean bad, I can't believe people can't understand that. It means he isn't a coward who plays it safe and tries his best to please his fans; he does what he wants because it's his story not the fans.
@aliefalyansyah5996

@@scythe9734 controversy meaning how much it split the fans and the fandom. Some see it as bad, some as good and some neutral. You maybe part of the fandom that see it as good, tho that doesn't remove the fact that there are alot of people that see the ending as okay or bad. Isayama himself even apologise for the ending that cause so much controversy during comicon. So the effect of the ending is to much to keep silent about. In fact similar controversial ending such as Naruto, Bleach and Boku no hero is less severe than aot since the mangaka behind those manga didn't apologise to the fans. Finally i know the concept of is his story so it's right to end it how he like. But you need to remember that in grand scheme of things aot manga is a business and the creator need customer to sell their product to. If aot didn't have a good sale it can be cancelled or have a bad reputation. In fact the problem of the argument of it's his story so he can write what ever he want it to be has plague hollywood industry recently and making so many movies bomb in the box office. Mainly disney and pixar movies but others to because it follow what the producer want and not what the fans want.

Unfortunately, he wrote a terrible ending in which the MC forgets his goals for no reason and does not achieve anything

Eren never wanted freedom he only wanted to fight for freedom. He died fighting for freedom. He was a slave to freedom. He never gave up on his dream of freedom. In the alternate ending in which he runs with Mikasa he actually gets free from being a slave to freedom.

....... Come back in 10 years, hopefully you'll understand his story better. If not then do you I guess, it's not like your opinion can affect the story.
