How One Wehraboo Defeated Half The Enemy Team On His Own: P-47D-16 RE (War Thunder) 

This what I hate about teams in War Thunder. I somehow always find myself going 1vs4 in a Ki-43III otsu against bf109s at 5000m with the rest of my team mowing the grass for ground targets or seagulling an attacker at low altitude and 20km from the action.

there's a reason the p 47s aren't at 3.7 anymore, Ive gotten 8 kills a game several times in the old German p-47, they are amazing planes when flown right

P-47s are underestimated so much because people think they are just attackers. Being as heavy as they are is both good and bad, good explanation on how it works. Gotta love how that other P-47 hated on you for being a good player, classic war thunder moment.

P-47s had a Turbocharger that runs along the belly of the aircraft, Spit.

Buying Gaullebolt legit taught me how to BnZ, would recommend. Also all tracer brrrt is terrifying to fly into.

I remember stomping with this thing back in 2014 when it was 3.0 with an airspawn. Ahh good times lol

back in the day when the hitlerbolt had intercepter spawn and incendiary rounds were insanely op, I grinded the whole getman tree except the bombers with it, also all if my aces are with it.

Sometimes I miss judge the enemy’s speed and get blasted. Nice video to see that some of the best make the same mistakes.

The main problem with climbing in the American p47s is the fact that you are constantly facing planes flown by skilled people that will always beat you to altitude, leaving you on the backfoot

I love the P-47 so much I have spaded all the US tree versions, plus have the soviet and British version. It works well when properly used(like most planes). But sadly I see far too many idiots lawn mowing or wasting it away, those same people then have the cheek to complain about loosing SL or the grind being too hard when more often than not its a them issue.

I like the P-47, but let's just say I'll be glad to be done with it soon. I actually spaded all three American P-47D models in Arcade, since they're all 4.0 and make a fantastic lineup for event grinding and such. Spaded the N in Realistic a long time ago, and now I'm finally going through China and spading theirs. Got the razorback done in a day, and I've been playing the second one on and off for a couple days. They're fun planes to fight in when you have that advantageous position, but against 4.7 planes that absolutely outperform you at most altitudes, and god forbid against 5.7 planes, you'll be useless if they know how to avoid you and fight you where you're least effective.

I don’t know I have 1275 battle with the p47 and all I can say is dogfight is really easy against a p51 for example

I am playing Bf109 and Fw190 the exact same way as you do in the video. So when I got this P47 from the warbond shop, I did not expect much seeing how americans get slapped in it every game. I did not have to learn anything new, I just play it the same way as normal german props + on top I got alot of .50 cals, which makes things alot easier compared to 7.92mg and get consistent 3 kills per game. If it got bombs I would use it in ground RB more. PS: when you are near the peak of stalling, use flaps.

Sticking to a plan works especially if that plan is based on the vehicles role. Too many people abandon their plan as soon as they see that first attacker diving towards a base under them and give chase!

Apart from the minengeschoss rounds, if you connect with those the enemy planes just blow up, but the other types of ammo seem to do little to no damage?

Soviets used their P-47D-27 purely on high altitude air defense fighter. The reason was soviets couldn't afford to make the aircraft that were capable at 6-7000m altitude flights. MiG-25's great great grandfather was P-47D!

is a turbo charged super charged sorta thang. The turbo kicks in and sucks more air in at higher altitudes giving it better higher altitude performance.

I cant do anything with the american razorback...one shot and the tail pops off like its meant to break off like a gecko. Also theres no rear armor plate and im not sure why they removed it. If you were flying the American Razorback when that Bf109 tapped you...no more tail end of replay.

Playing the Germans at 5.3-6.3 is unnecessarily losing games. The Germans have got some pretty decent planes, but like a third of the time fighters don't bother to climb enough. The other third you play with 4 Ju-288s, 2 attackers and 1 fighter who contribute little to nothing to winning the game. The remaining time you actually have a fair chance of having a great game, if it's not ruined by premiums like the F2G-1, P38K and/or Hornet mk1. Generally F2G players aren't as experienced and are often very impatient, so these are dealt with quite easily depending on the skill gap. But Hornets and P38Ks are an absolute pain in the a$s. They have almost always an altitude advantage and never commit to a dogfight unless they're confident enough to (which generally tends to take quite a while). They basically play like how Germans should play (often even exaggerated), but with 200-1500m alt advantage. And while you're battling those guys in your Ta 152 or maybe G10, your teammates down below die and you eventually end up losing the match because you're heavily outnumbered. That's how it tends to go.

I believe Gaijin scuffed the auto engine controls for the P-47s, as they only generate 2000 hp at sealevel of their required 2300 hp at 50% mixture. You can solve this by using 80% mixture. This should fix the missing 300 horsepower below 3000 meters, which allows you to climb a lot faster.

At high speed this thing turns like a zero. If sometimes it's ok to turn and shove 500 tracer rounds into a Yak

p47's do better on axis teams because they don't have to worry about getting jumped while climbing due to all the space climb 109's and Jspanese planes

Where can I find info on a planes characteristics? I.e. best altitude, playstyle, etc. I find the Sweedish props easier to fly but I still could use a ton of improvement.

The battle rating for the p47s is so stupid,every p47 should be 5.0 or 5.3 the p47n is good at 4.7 but their is no fucking reason to put a damn p47d28 at 5.0 always playing against 288s ta152h and spaceclimbing spitfires,when THE FUCKING P47N IS LOWER WITH THE SAME P47M ENGINE

I literally got a ace came in the other German P 47 and all of my team died but I saved the match and there was less than I think 200 tickets left and I got the entire enemy team. Both planes are pretty solid if you know how to use them. 😏🤌
