Yeahhhhhh your 3 goals are fantastic! When I started my floatlife there were barely 50 onewheels here in uk, the US riders all said "make a group and they will come". And it worked! We are at over 460 members across the middle of England, meeting across our area, connecting with groups outside of our area, and now enjoying weekends away together too! It's been the most wonderful journey to here, connecting with beautiful people here and all over the world, such as yourself, this incredible device bringing us together as a true community. Thanks for sharing your floatlife bro, and thanks for sharing the stoke so fantastically with all. Can't wait to see what adventures you will have next!
Sounds like my journey with Onewheel. Started on a XR and rode it 1k miles until the PintX came out. Now at 57 I’m on a GTS because nothing matches the feel of a Onewheel carving. Once you learn how to deep carve and get that feeling, your life will change too.
this is so cool i have wanted a one wheel for the longest time ever and i have been saving up recently im going to get the pint X im so glad that youtube pushed this video toward me hope u get your dreams ill sub so i can find more vids like this remeber me when you get your goals
That's great! You're probably getting a better bang for buck ratio than most of us, lol. There are medium electric scooters with more power to get you up there too!
i bought pint few years back and did 1k kilometers without helmet, as i got used to it i started to push its limits on speed and corners, with zero protection i made it to 1k and sold it with zero injuries only few little ones, after that i discovered there was 4 casualties with onewheel, me without helmet and extreeme mindset could have been one, now i own etwow electric scooter and it is way faster, safer and with longer range, for daily casual use, ofcourse onewheel will catch everyone's eye but i love to stay unnoticed
Excelente video!! Yo estoy en Uruguay tengo un XR y un Pint - cuando realices el viaje avísame, de repente te puedo ayudar en algo o solamente salir a "Onewheelear"!!! 😁🤘
You didn´t buy a scooter with suspension and more range as it was expensive, yet proceeds to buy a OneWheel which is mostly more than most of the high end scooters... I have both a high end scooter and a boosted board but i am looking into getting a OW GT... i borrowed a friends Pint X for a week and was hooked but i am selling my scooter and longboard first, no reason to have those just taking space in my home if i am not using them. Hopefully 2024 is the year i will be riding my own OW GT..
I should have explained that the cost of the OW was cheaper than those scooters in Argentina. The board + shipping + taxes was still about $500 less than high end scooters here and I did not trust scooter brands with their own shipping. As of today, some can be found at a cheaper price here though but I'm already hooked to the OW format.
EUCs are more fun and more safe. i own both, but pints are best form factor for a 750 watt toy. EUV is the functional PEV of today. charges still slow, but you dont need to charge with a 70mi range
Monowheels are sick, it's great that competition is popping up like the Floatwheel, hopefully Onewheel starts to let people repair their stuff, like their competitors do. The space is changing!
Heck yeah! However your weight has a lot on influence on a Pint. Pint gets undeserved hate for some reason. If you're in the US you can pick up a used one for pretty cheap.
Never rode a One wheel but going down a much similar path to yours, I feel like I’ve watched all RU-vid has to offer on one wheels lol can’t wait to one day have my own. Great video can’t wait to see your travels.
@@p0rtugeek range, speed, practicality. The fact that you can mod your PEV without fear of it being bricked by the manufacturer. Etc etc. once you go EUC you never go back. In the last year I’ve seen about 18 One Wheelers try EUC and once they learned how to ride it they sold their Onewheel. I promise if you ever make the switch, you will thank yourself like those other riders do. One Wheel was great 3 years ago. Unfortunately with the terribly awful customer “service” from futuremotion and the Onewheel being by far the weakest PEV, it is becoming a relic of the past.
@@p0rtugeek Have you tried them? I went from Onewheel to EUC myself and was skeptical as first as well. But there are plenty more benefits then range for me now including the stance, but to each their own!
@@heymelon I did! But I don't know anyone with enough patience for me to learn using theirs. I tried it for 15 minutes and couldn't pick it up hehehe. I'm not saying they're not great tho. In Argentina they are considerably expensive, too much to risk buying without trying.
Love your video and great story!I started on electric longboard and had an electric scooter for commuting. However, the ultimate PEV is an electric unicycle you should try one especially having the right to repair and can go some crazy distance compared to your OW. If not your style get a floatwheel which is better on a vesc board and you have the right to repair instead of sending back to Santa Cruz, CA.
Hello! You have made an excellent point! Future Motion has said they're working on opening repair centers outside the USA, however as of today that is yet to happen. I will address this in a future video!
@@p0rtugeek doubt that will ever happen with FM opening up centers for repairs. I live 90 min from the headquarters and still wouldn't buy their products due to the right to repair and having to ship the product to them.
