It's so crazy how some people have severe symptoms and some have none at all.

Call me crazy, but in a few years, I foresee late night legal advertisements about this medication. Definitely not enough studies with regard to prescibing this to non-diabetics in my opinion.

You’re nota alone! I did it for a month and I had the worst experience. Fatigue to the max, chest pains, short of breath going up the stairs, irritability, depressed feelings, body aches, insomnia, bitter taste in my mouth constantly, nausea, basically at my wit’s end! .25 milligrams left me out of wack! This is not for me, and I’m better off with intermittent fasting to help go through menopause. Thank you for bringing it up! 😘

I was put on Ozempic (the lowest dose 2X/week) for type 2 diabetes way back when it first came out. My primary care doctor is from Mayo Clinic. With every injection I had abdominal cramps for a half hour or so. It gave me loose stools. At the 2 year mark, the diarrhea was 8-10 times a day to the point I couldn't even go for a walk and I never ate anything beforehand if I had to go to the store, etc. Finally, I was getting so sick, my doctor ordered a colonoscopy and they found I had ulcerative colitis. I stopped the Ozempic immediately. I continued not being able to eat different foods and so went in for another colonoscopy. The ulcers were gone, but my digestive system was so messed up, I ended up only being able to eat a handful of foods. That was 3 years ago and I'm still suffering. I take Seed probiotic/prebiotics to help with the diarrhea. I no longer eat dairy, fried foods, gluten, red meat (I can only tolerate plain chicken breasts), follow a low FODMAP diet, no raw vegetables. It's ridiculous. Anyone who will listen, I tell them, please don't take any medication that changes your digestive system. The digestive system is so imperative for the rest of your body to work correctly and it isn't worth the risk. I'm still trying to reintroduce foods back into my diet but haven't been very successful. I am still under the supervision of gastroenterologists.

What you describe resonate with the critical points the doctor at the channel Idaho Bariatric and Metabolic Institute. He claim it being a signalsubstance rather than a hormone. And that many of the obese people have high levels of glp1. So the problem seem not to be a lack of it but rather they have a problem of resistance. The same kind of problem that make it problematic to treat type 2 diabetics are prescribed insulin, which tend to gradually worsen their conditions.

I’m actually really GLAD that you opened up about this topic and were so honest and vulnerable. I think it paints a realistic picture of what many people do experience using this drug, and considering how little the public knows about it, this is super helpful. I doing think it came across as promoting it at all. I know that for me, as someone who is very much overweight but who struggles with depression, anemia, and severe gastrointestinal issues, I could never try Ozempic because it would be too dangerous for me. But I could see how someone without my health issues could benefit from it. Thank you for your openness and honesty!

However, I also have mental health issues and have taken medication for years, as well as counseling. I have also had a decline in my mental health since taking the medication 😢. I would say it’s getting better…but 🤷🏻‍♀️. I guess the benefits have outweighed the mental health side effects. I see my doctor for my mental health often…so, they are monitoring me. Proud of you sweet girl! Keep your head up…keep going. You look fantastic, but, even more you feel better. I have also gotten off my blood pressure meds because of this medication…🤷🏻‍♀️. As a physician I would not recommend this drug unless one seriously needs it to survive as there are a lot of side effects and being a fairly new drug, we do not know all the long-term side effects which seem pretty serious but not enough data. Unless you are morbidly obese you are not going to die faster than any drug even then many overweight people are actually healthy though I must stress that it is best to be at a heathy weight. Having said all that, I commend you and appreciate your honesty and not encouraging people to take this drug. That says a lot about who you are. Honesty is hard so good for you and do not change that as it is a very rare great quality and you sure have that.👋

I appreciate this girl’s vulnerability and experience however she is just one person. I take compound Monjauro/Zepbound and it has been an absolute godsend for me! The research shows that these GLP-1s help substantially with so many things, and in my support groups people are having amazing experiences. Many of the serious side effects the media keeps hyping up are rare and many are ones that are more common and mostly avoidable with causation of not doing certain things. Just my own experience and hearing hundreds of others in my online and telemed groups.

But the journey is a hard one....the side effects for me have been horrendous, unbelievable vomiting and diarrhea, uncontrollable...it ruined the Christmas weekend, and I stopped it for a while, started it again today, I did speak to my diabetes. Nurse, so we decided to restart me on the .25mg dose....was fine to start with...then the side effects were intolerable, so I stopped it after Christmas, started it again today because I want better blood sugar results, and of course it gave me a boost losing weight....l am now afraid of taking it....and afraid of not taking it....I wish you all the very best.❤

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and being so open about it! As with many drugs, they will affect everyone differently. I was on Ozempic for 20 weeks and now Wegovy 18 weeks. Yes I've had the headaches, nausea, but they have been manageable. I started at 268 pounds and now 218 and still going. Now, for the nausea I take Zofran and it helps so much, the headaches only come when I don't eat enough, my menstrual is still here but instead of 7 days I go 4. Other than that. I absolutely love it and am so grateful for my Dr prescribing it to me. I have 50 more pounds to go. Im sorry the medicine didn't work for you😢. Im glad you at least took a chance.

Your blood results are better because you ate less food and you ate healthy food( salads,sushi..)no more carbs and sugar.. this could change without ozempic 🤷‍♀️ what will happen to your body one day when you will stop taking it? I wish you all the best✌️ you are beautiful inside and out❤️

No carbs or sugar is very similar to a healthy Keto Diet! Having dealt with sugar/carb “addiction”. I can tell you that once those addictive foods are out of your system, you tend not to crave them. When I tried to reintroduce them to my diet. I honestly just didn’t like the effects they have on my body and chose to continue to do without them. Even after quitting Keto

Interesting.. my experience was completely different than yours. I was on it for 7 months. Loose 35 pounds, no side effects. They were so mild, I didn’t even notice them. My period in fact was so regular, that never happened to me. My period was all over the place my whole life! So.. I guess it’s all depends, and really personal for everyone.

Very interesting video and thanks for being so open about it! Also important to mention is that you have to be on Ozempic &Wegovy for the rest of your life in order to maintain its benefits. As soon as you stop, it is very, very likely that you ll gain back all the weight and it can make your insulin resistance even more severe than before.

Hi Paulina! I have not watched your channel before, but saw this entry on your experience with ozempic and got curious. Thank You for your sincere and thoughtful review of your journey with this drug. It is most helpful and important as user experiences are important and matter a lot. I am struggling with weight gain due to menopausal changes in the body and have been considering trying the version of ozempic that is solely made for weight loss which I think is called wegovy or something like it that is just being released in my country. I don’t know in what way they differ exactly as they contain the same substance. But my guess is the side effects are probably similar if not he same. I have heard nobody talk about these things - why I very much appreciate your candour about it!! I am also glad for your sake that you have despite the difficulties using this drug had very good results! 25 kg in such a short time is amazing and pretty much unattainable any other way I think… My questions to you since you did not bring it up and that I would be very happy if you could share some insight on in some way in another video or here if you happen to read this is if you are still on the medication now? And if so are you noticing any changes in the side effects as in has the nausea or the mental state or the fatigue stabilised or normalised in any way along the way? Or does these side effects stay constant throughout the use? Also how severe is the nausea? And equally the fatigue - can you sort of function despite these side effects or do they incapacitate you completely? And does anything in this regard change over time as your hormones stabilise in a new way, a k a do the side effects lessen or do they hang on? And if you have quit using it? How has that effected you in regards to the side effects? And also does the cravings and metabolism change back to its old self again or do the changes hang in there? I would be very thankful if you could take the time to elaborate a bit more on this subject either in one of your videos or here. As it would be very helpful for me to know as I am considering trying it out. All the best to you and Thank You again for sharing your experiences! ❣️
