I had a hip replacement a month ago and had very little pain. I didn’t need the extra narcotics they offered me during the 1 night hospital stay, and never took anything more than Tylenol or Motrin at home. The whole experience has truly been a lot easier than I could have imagined and now I feel SO much better.

I walked just hours after surgery, but I can tell you that even with all the caution you mentioned, the pain in the first three weeks was brutal ! spinal cocktail and morphine and norco, just made it barely tolerable. I can only say that three weeks of pain was worth the trade for no more pain and the ability to walk normally .

I could not imagine the pain being anything like the 9/10 pain I've been experiencing for the last 4 years.

Up on my feet 6hrs after op, but for the first 3 weeks it was sooooo painful.......now, 6 weeks post op, feeling great! Still have nerve pain/ sensation but absolutely worth it 👍

Very positive message.. i am preparing for the knee surgery.. but I have pain drugs and antibiotics allergy.. so, very worried.

Horror stories? Please! This has been a nightmare for me. Don't get me wrong if and when it's all behind me maybe. But for now don't piss on my boots and tell me it's raining outside! I'm in pain, real pain. I hope this isn't everyone's story but it is mine. Having lived with the debilitating crippling pain of arthritis I'm looking forward to better days once I'm healed completely. To say there are small numbers of those like me doesn't make the horror story brighter.

Ihave two knee replacements. the first one was ok,took me two days after surgeryto walk, the second one took me one night. I am totally happy with them.
