@@mukkaarit's pretty important for the energy security of china AS IT exports almost all of its oil and most of it passes through the strait of Malacca so a direct pipeline from Pakistan can ensure china's energy security on the other hand US will either try to compete or try to destroy these reserves as for India it will try everything in it's power to bring instability as it is currently doing in Balochistan.
China will benefit most from it as it exports 70 % of its oil and maximum comes from the strait of Malacca so if it is extracted will be significantly for the energy security of china.

Late to the party - oil from under the ground either on shore of off will be too expensive to extract in 2 - 3 years. It'll take 5 years to build out the infrastructure required.

Hi all! Pakistan due to its geostrategic location has been a key player as well as victim of great power competition. The greatest wealth of Pakistan was its fertile soil. Other than that it didn't had much resources even then the powers used the country as their staging ground. Even though it brought some benefits it is the same reason that brought country to its political instability and current economic situation. At the same time except a few nations for most of the countries who have found oil reserves it been like a boon as well as a serious curse to them. Pakistan was already a state on the verge of collapse. If china steps in to develop these fields usa wouldn't allow it. If USA tries china and Russia would not allow it. Eitherway it would be a nightmare for Pakistan.
