If a man pee in public or grab a pack of cigarettes smoking the road it's normal but a pad which is a basic hygienic commodity is not a big problem... Shame on the people 🙂

Not everyone in India are very shamed of talking about periods in public I am just 11 years old and I know everything about periods my mother reached me everything about it and she don't say that I am having 'Woh din' or something she directly says 'period's' and I am the one who tell my dad to buy sanitary pads

good initiative. but i would like to talk about this: pad is something that woman use to apply on their private part, it's like an undergarment. If you were to ask a man to hold something in their hands in public that women use as an undergarment, it's natural they'd feel uncomfortable. Try asking a woman to hold a new men's underwear in public, and say "its the 21st century, how come you are uncomfortable holding something as basic as an underwear". Uneasiness in holding the pad in public and having a developed mindset about menstruation are 2 different things. A 21st century mindset wouldn't mind talking about periods or openly buying sanitary pads for themselves or their friends/family members. But would you go around waving your underwear in public? For example, it's okay to conclude that the woman who was pretending to not know that it was a pad you were holding, displayed a conservative mindset. I wouldn't mind holding a pack of condoms in public similar to holding a pack of sanitary pads, but yeah holding a loose single condom or a pad would definitely make me uneasy, because both of them are very personal usage commodities for opposite sex. Them feeling uneasy in holding it or not is a different thing, but not even being able to openly talk about it or seeing it as something "dirty" is the issue here.

Last time I took 1 inch of pad and put it on my chhapal becoz my chhapal gave me pain sometimes. But my neighbours think men and women in my building when they saw it just inch of pad my chhapal feel and behave like monsters even women blame us and slang us, insult us. Not only just on me on my elder sister and my loving MOM. Isn't this unfair?

Even women's are against talking about periods publicly 😢
