I’ve done that multiple times. And pro tip. If the teacher ever asks for the answer. Just say a random number or smth. Cuz there’s that one chance you could be right and you’d blow the classes mind. Tho. It didn’t work well for me today when i was in math. And dead asleep. And my teacher asked me the answer. And i said Abraham lincoln. Spoiler alert. It wasn’t Abraham Lincoln. But you gotta do what u gotta do😂
I got woken up like that 3 times I always knew the answer they asked if I knew the answer why am I sleeping instead of answering I reply because this part is boring. Whole class laughs I had best grades in class... I was sleeping 90% of it... my grades weren't high either 85 at best...
MY MATH TEACHER DID THAT TO ME TOO LMAOOO i literally had all my work finished too and she wasn’t even moving on to the next part of the lesson she just felt the urge to smack my desk with her pointer thing
Yas and I never got caught once because I did it with my hands spread out covering my eyes. Helped me nap so I didn't just drop and die in school lol..
Not me but a friend of mine: this man passed out halfway through WallE in the crossarm position. When he woke up, he saw that the girl in front of him was on her phone and was like, “you? On ur phone?!” And she was like “and you? Asleep?” To which he said, laughing, “I didn’t want anyone to wake me up!” TBH I kinda wanted to wake him and ask if he was ok bc it was REALLY unlike him to sleep in class. Lesson learned, as long as you keep your grades up, if you gotta sleep, sleep
I remember one time I was in and out of consciousness... And my calc teacher yelled my name and asked for the answer. I looked at her, the board, answered it and went back to napping. She didn't say anything to me the rest of that period.
I always do crossed arms, but here’s my problem. I always get that falling sensation after a while and wake up and my legs literally kick so hard. One time I got air time and my desk fell over because of it💀
Some kid from the previous period was at his desk in the slumped position and the kids in my class were legit slapping his face and he was still knocked out cold 💀
Unless your bus is bad or you're anxious about missing your stop, it's really comfy, just warm and the seat is soft I often close my eyes to daydream, then struggle to open them back up to stay aware of surroundings
i fell asleep literally closing my eyes in front of the teacher cuz i was so tired and he was hanging out slips and woke me up saying “my voice is very soothing isn’t it?” and my sleepy ahh nodded😂💀
My friend did this, and straight up dozed off for 20 minutes. When he sat up, I asked if he was ok, and bro totally cracked and said he fell asleep. Daylight savings had everybody’s clock messed up and it was the last class of the day (AP stats). Once, this same guy and the one beside him were talking about how exhausting the class was. I’d heard him say “Imma take a 2hr nap after this”
my old teacher used to fall asleep at her desk every day (we were her last class of the day) in “the slumped” position, so we *knew* she wouldn’t be waking up. usually one kid would be brave enough to take answers off her desk while she slept, and then share them with the whole class. we were never caught. easiest A i’ve ever gotten
My 6th grade math teacher was the BEST. Whenever we would finish our work, he would let us have free time to mess around, play jenga, connect 4, and he even let us sleep but the bell always woke us up. There was this one Friday when most people weren’t there, but I was, so he gave us free time THE WHOLE CLASS PERIOD and if you asked him he could play a movie or a tv show. Man, he was the best.
defo ur not from india if u sleep and if the teacher saw u sleepin then you are just dead there is like 2hrs 30 minutes continuos class with no breaks if u sleep while class is going on your simply gonna get kicked out from the section
@@britz_yt3159 i mean we were the ap class and we were the best ones and we would work really fast so the teacher would just give us a break and sometimes let us grade our friends assignments. nobody ever changed the grade because he was awesome and they didn’t wanna lose that. but no i’m not indian
If I was a teacher and my classes were 50 mins I’d teach for 35 mins and let the students have 15 mins of silent time, to nap, do hw or whatever. As long as they are doing something quietly. Sometimes that 15 mins helps you focus better throughout the day.
Thanks to my religious studies teacher I developed the skill of sleeping and writing at the same time. I'd sleep normally w my head facing down on my paper, but when I'd wake up I'd see that I've written everything he's said right 👥 nobody ever noticed
Sleep in class is always so much better than sleep at home. It’s the fact that you’re just not supposed to do it and you know everyone else is listening and got their eyeballs under fire while you’re drifting away. The only downside to it was when you’d snap out of it with drool seeping out and grill marks on your forehead
My classmates don’t even try to be sneaky, they just straight up take a nap. Edit: I screamed when I saw how many likes this has😊😆! Thank you all so much❤️
Throwback to that one time I fell asleep in the lunch break at my table and woke up three hours later in math class. Apparently, nobody saw the necessity to wake me up. Best nap of my entire school career
My teachers don’t wake me up, but once I fell asleep because I was tired from working on my IMP in AP Seminar. I woke myself up with the loudest goddamn snore 💀
My sleeping position was "I'm taking notes". Head half down, pen in hand, looks like I'm writing but I'm not. My bangs were giving even more cover. They couldn't see my face, and so teachers demanded I cut my hair short.
Fell asleep in high school history once, my teacher didn’t wake me up until the end of the class by making everyone stand around me and clapping and cheering, shit was lit 😂
Recommend the "crossed arms" for those that sit in the middle or end right or left side of the classroom and be closer to the wall or window and hide behind a guy infront of you. And if he is a real G you can tell him to move over a bit so you aint visible
Always slept crossed arm in religions, I had front left corner and the teacher was around 8 desks over on the far right hand side where his desk was, always the first class on tuesdays and allowed me to get more sleep in the morning
One day in middle school I had stayed up playing my 3ds and I was sleeping in class in the head-on-arms-on-table technique, and the teacher slammed a huge book on my desk. I instantly woke up and everyone was silent. I looked at the teacher, looked at the book and said “thanks” and used the book as a pillow. *Everyone liked that*
Yall tripping the sneakiest one is you take you non dominant arm put your elbow on the desk bend your arm like your flexing lay head down on your arm, next you take your school work put it on the desk grab a pencil with your dominant hand and boom, it looks like you're lazily doing work and really your asleep
The last time I fell asleep in class I was in the “Reading a book” position. I slept for a solid 15 minutes and when I woke up there was a puddle of drool in the English book I was using. I just closed the book and acted like nothing happened.
Bro when my native language teacher saw me sleeping on the desk she walked out of class for like 5 minutes and then she made me a coffe☕! Literally best day of my life, whole class couldn't stop laughing 😂
I had a friend who would sleep with his head on his hands so it wasn’t very obvious. Everyone at the table knew so we slowly hid his school supplies while he slept through class. Such mature seniors. 😂
I used to have a seat mate who would allow me to sleep on his shoulder, I don’t sleep a lot by choice💀 so on classes I would yawn and he would offer his shoulder and I would just sleep. It was like a routine
lol my old American history teacher use to make anyone stand up for the rest of the class if they were caught sleeping, safe to say I had to stand about 18 days and he still voted me for the American history award
My old math teacher had a standing desk and people would fight over it because it was the only thing that kept people awake in that class. One time I got it and I fell asleep standing up and fell down. Ig the stand up method doesn’t always work
My classmate used the book one. He was the closest to the teacher and she faced right at him. She literally sensed if you had gum or were sleeping, yet somehow he managed to make it through the class.
I had a friend who *trained* to sleep with his eyes open in class, dude was insane. And he literally mastered the technique to sleep sitting straight and with his eyes wode open, I'm still impressed by that dude.
At my private school I've never seen a teacher be mean about sleeping students. They just gently wake you up and ask if you are okay and if you need to go to the bathroom to freshen up
Yeah that happened when I was in 5th grade. The teachers were friendly. But now I'm in highschool in another school and the some teachers are just mean without any apparent reason 🤦🏻♀️
once i was sleeping on the english class (bcz the teacher just kind of aways teaches something i already know) he was a a substitute, and when i woke up bro literally said "who tf are you???" looking straight up at me my man didn't realised sleeping beauty was in his class 💀
The fact I did these today - Today I legit sit my head on my hands and falling asleep and my teacher knew and said "u alr princess" and said to the class that she had lost me and stuff a few min later (which was actually 40 min) found myself sleeping on my desk and didn't do any work but my teacher didn't mind since she might've seen how tired I was Shes a good teacher 👌
We were having finals and the girl in front of me just casually answered her test and fell asleep and the teacher ignored her like it's an everyday thing or sum-😭
srsly tho, back in high school, i always gets so sleepy when doing exam to the point when i'd fell asleep... its always exam days... maybe some people find it too quiet
There was a guy in my GCSE english who fell asleep constantly (once a week minimum) and he would just be in the exact same pose when he was awake. Dude was quite large, so that probably made his neck more comfortable and stable, but still. He also was just flat out, to the point you could clap in front of his face like 10cm away, and he would just stay asleep
I just put my head down. I get good grades and answer questions so when I sleep like that on the rare occasion they think I’m just tired. The other day I was like half asleep and my teacher goes “Harper are you awake?” And I said “I’m listening” and she didn’t bother me for the rest of class. I slept like a rock
Head down is me. I had a dream about my HOSA competition. [The day I did the first round, in my school library, I fell asleep after completing 60 medical math problems, and twenty minutes later, two boys at the table across from me came to me. One of them, Brian, said “Hey Anna, the bell rang”. I didn’t move. He then asked the other one “Is she alright? Is she asleep?” The second boy replied, “I don’t know. But I talked to her when I got here for AP enrichment, to wish her good luck in HOSA. She sounded tired; I feel for her. She said she’s afraid of not making it to the state competition.” Both boys were seniors. The librarian behind us told the second boy to check if I was running a fever. Fortunately, I wasn’t. Boy 2, named Dakota, began shaking me, saying, “Hey Anna, wake up, the bell rang.” I woke up, feeling weak. I stood up abruptly, then fell. Brian then helped me to my feet. He then asked, “Are you ok?” I said, “I’m just tired, and some of the problems gave me a headache.” After finishing the sentence, i gulped down water. Panicking, i started packing my stuff and heading to my second class. But before I got into the hall, Dakota grabbed my arm. Noticing my stricken face, he said, “it’s ok, I know you were a little nervous. I just didn’t want you to lose your temper and throw a fit.” After I admitted that I was nervous, he said, “don’t blame yourself, math can be a little exhausting at times. Did you stay up late preparing?” “Yes, I did,” I admitted, holding back tears. He squeezed my hand reassuringly, then said, “Need me to walk you to class?” “Yes, that would be good,” I replied, now fully awake. He then walked me to class (Allied Health). On the way to class, he told me, “you should try to get some rest, ok?”. “I will,” I said.Four days later, in real life, I found out I had made it to the state level competition. Btw the brackets are the dream
I was in my culinary arts class taking notes and fell asleep in the slumped. i woke up and my notes were gone and my teacher was teaching. i was scrambling for the notes and my teacher goes "ur fine, [ insert friends name ] filled out your notes." i will forever love that teacher she was so amazing.
Sleeping has to be the BEST part about chill magnet schools. I once fell asleep in class during finals week and when my teacher woke me up his first action was to tell me to go to the counselor’s office where there was a sofa and a noise machine for people that were suffering from fatigue
I used to sleep in class everyday… as a gamer and night owl, it was an impossible task not to. I tried techniques like pinching my ears really hard and scratching my arms, but I just couldn’t seem to stay awake. The “reading a book” position was my go to, but I found that that position would A.) have the risk of me waking up to a puddle of drool in my lap, and B.) when I’d sit up after awaking I’d have the most ungodly burp imaginable bubble up from inside of me. Not to mention that any of these positions were under risk for waking up with a jolt that slams my desk so hard that it scares everyone else in the class. Ofc this happened several times in this one class I took in senior year that was all freshman. I’ll never forget waking up to those little faces staring at me with pure terror… even the teacher was taken aback. Bad times, good memories.
Why didn’t you do your work? If you didn’t do your work, you wouldn’t get good grades, you wouldn’t graduate, you wouldn’t get a job, and you wouldn’t have made money
I don't usually fall asleep in school but it was a slow day and two consecutive classes didn't have a teacher showing up so I fell asleep in the slumped position. That remains as one of the only two wacky photos my friends were able to take a picture of. It has been immortalized into a physical image and gifted as a graduation gift 😂 meanwhile I'e got tons of theirs since I take a lot of pictures
@@nolifant7000 two words: monoblock armchair. If you aren't familiar with it, it's basically an uncomfortable plastic chair with an armrest on one side that acts as a desktop. It's a staple of public schools here in the Philippines. And because I am taller than the average, the table is uncomfortably low to rest my head on without crumpling like a hunchback. Admittedly, the slumped position was equally uncomfortable for my neck but like I said, I don't usually fall asleep in places not meant for sleeping on 🤷♀️
I remember going to school after not sleeping and having the most rejuvinating life changing slumber in the cross armed position. I was deadass seing life with improved graphics after that
I was in class and hadn’t slept for three days straight…I had fallen asleep with my head down and arms crossed and my teacher let me sleep through the whole class, the only problem is I missed half of an entire unit and she wouldn’t teach it to me😂😅❤
I always finish my work early and honestly they let me just get up and lay on the floor when I’m done. My friend used to come down and braid my hair while we were there, that’s the only times we’d get in trouble.
sometimes i be in that half sleep state where i’m sitting up straight and my head keeps bobbing backwards and then straight up 💀 other than that i’m forever an arm crosser or i put one arm out straight and lay on it
Bro my seatmate did that (laid his head on his left arm after taking our Spanish pre test). It was like 10 questions long, so I didn’t get why he went to sleep initially, probs bc boredom
They key is to avoid crossed arms unless you are teachers pet. You can do most of the others no matter who you are. But it's best if the teacher likes you enough to not make you teachers pet, but to be chill with you(one of my classes my senior year, means the teacher weren't friend by any means, but I was friends with her non pet favorites, so I slept many times and she didn't care). Also idc who you are but slumped it actually the best, especially if you've been sore, it really helps your neck. If you're still reading, here's a a couple fun sleeping in school stories. Freshman year was the end of a 3-4 year period of depression(probably my worst so far), but I was just getting to the end of that and was in the "never sleep when you're supposed to, only when you shouldn't" phase most of the time. So one day, I was in my 2nd period algebra and I hadn't slept well. So I unintentionally nodded off after a few minutes, which was surprising because the teacher would start off normal tone, but by the end, he would be almost shouting for no reason at all(not angry, just loud). Anyways, the guy woke me up randomly and asked me if I wanted to do a problem on the board, obviously to be that dick who wants to teach you a lesson about not paying attention and sleeping by humiliation. I straight up just said, "no, not really". I think he was way to used to people thinking he was kind of intimidating, so he was surprised and then just moved on. I always kinda hated him. Anyway, the 2nd story happened maybe a week later. I was in health(we had to take health one semester for .5 credits and economics the next for .5(or vice versa, just depending on your last name or something) and I hadn't gone to sleep until like 5:30 and had to wake up at like 7, so almost no sleep whatsoever. I knew I was tired all day and was fighting to stay awake but gave up because I was drained. Within 5-10 minutes, I'm out cold. I know I started off just sleeping sitting up. But my guess is I either leaned or was head mostly down by the end. Anyway, I wake up with maybe 2 minutes left of class, and I don't think or care if anyone knows that I slept. As I'm leaving, my teacher(I liked him btw, he was a kinda strongman build funny football gentle giant, he actually is also a fantasy novel author) asked me, "hey man, are you okay?). Confused, I just said, "yeah" and left. The next day he was out, I think he was away for a game. Anyway, I told the couple kids near me about why he asked and then asked if they knew why. It turns out when I was out cold, the teacher tried to wake me up. He started with the normal "hey, wake up, shaking me, etc.". But eventually he apparently starting hitting his fist on my desk and loudly telling me to wake up. Eventually when I didn't, he just said to the class "if he can sleep through that, he needs it bad, and I'm gonna let him sleep.". One of the few days that semester I didn't take a nap after school.
You’re trippin I literally took a pillow in my AP English class laid my head on it and was out. Thank god my teacher let me (some kids didn’t take the ap test; they were taking the final)
not school but i once slept in the slumped position throughout an entire 3 hour flight when coming back from a vacation, with my mouth hanging open. the people next to me mustve been so uncomfortable im crying
I was asleep with my arms crossed looking down and my teacher shouted at me “WAKE UP YOURE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!” As if he was my dad or smth lol. I became the laughing stock of my class that day 😂
oh my god same😭 i fell asleep for 20 minutes and i’m in the front row, but her desk is in the very back and i’m in the very corner. she went up to the board and saw me and asked me to answer a question
My bestie was a streamer and he does late night streams everyday, so whenever he attends the class he will be sleeping in all these positions. I had to cover him so that the teacher won’t find him sleeping. Now we’re kinda separated as we’re in different universities but man… those were the days 🤧❤
i am constantly sleep deprived and this is me almost every day 😭 leaning on the table is definitely the most comfortable, but it makes my stomach hurt for some reason :/
this just reminded me of a horrible memory. i was once asleep in class, only to be awoken in a shock, and i looked up to see my class teacher sitting next to me staring into my soul and all my classmates sitting in groups and looking at me. he told me to get into a group and do some work but i acted like i had a headache and went back to sleep cuz shit was so awkward.
I used to kick my feet up in the little tray on the desk in front of me and lean back then do the “looking down” and let me tell you those naps were immaculate
During history class, all the teacher would do was read out of the book for 45 minutes straight. So I would just have my book in my lap. The teacher didn’t really worry about it, bc I still got good grades in most of my classes and was generally a good student
Bruhhhh, with how many classes I had and their respective assignments. By the evening classes I almost always had that last stance , although not that far back and crossing my arms, and I legit couldn't fight the urge to sleep. One minute my eyes are on the professor's slides, the other I'm out cold. The highlight was that one time a geomorphology professor, just stopped talking, and stared in my direction, everyone looked at me, asleep like a log, my friend next to me started calling me to wake me up. Needless to say I was embarrassed, the professor was sweet though, she understood that we do have a heavy workload and told me I can go wash up and come back. Glad I'm done with classes.
Bro💀,almost everyday I would sleep in a slumped position or the head down and arms crossed position every time when I get a change and school was basically my sleep time😂.
Oh gosh I remember once last year in Spanish class, we were watching the movie WALL·E and my seatmate slept through the second half of it. At one point, he used his chromebook as a head support. I’m surprised the teacher didn’t notice (it was unlike him to sleep in class). Btw he’s in college now as a business major
I use to have a really bad problem falling asleep in class it was nearly every class even guitar class💀💀 you don’t know true neck and hand pain till you wake up after 40 min with your head resting on a guitar in the playing position The worst part about falling asleep in that class is waking up to everyone just hammering on their guitars and it being so loud and disorienting 😭 like people are trying to sleep here
