+adambr92 IRANIAN goods should be sanctioned so long as Iran refuses to recognize Israel. Iran is terrorist state and against Jews, this video should be removed from internet and you should be ashamed of making a funny comment on this terrorist propaganda. Iran is after an other Holocaust, shame on you, this is not a joke.
***** Because Iran is an Enemy of Israel and it is a Terrorist state and wants to kill all Jews. This video is portraying Iranians as peace loving people making pistachios, this video is betraying the Holocaust victims. Thats why, if you dont know then you better read the history and realize what did Jews go trough until state of Israel became their sanctuary. So Enemies of Israel should not be tolerated.
@@dereiziger8915 I'd love to, but as I said, it looks like here in Croatia we have become a US monopoly when it comes to pistachios (and they are all equally expensive)...
Purple Macaw Yep..first class ticket for EACH kg maybe...give me a break man..the price you pay for a 100g in the US or Europe, you can buy 10 (Kg) of the same in Iran or any country in the Middle East
i mean a lot can ... taxation importation fees ... the truth is the open market sets the price and no one has found a way to bring them in cheaper or they would to eek out bigger market share ... this is how money works
Back in the 60's, these were dyed red for some reason or other. My younger brother loved those things, ate them a lot and always had reddish finger tips.
The pistachios I eat here in Northern California are grown just a few miles from where I live. They have a farm outlet store that sells them and they are sooooooooo fresh and delicious. A real treat is pistachio butter on bread, very rich and indulgent.
MY FAVORITE of nuts! Good for you, and a good and tasty source of protein. The ones I eat come from California groves, and big kudos to whoever thought of transplanting the trees there so many years back!
Your video is a great reminder of the value of patience and perseverance. It takes a lot of time and effort to grow and harvest melons and oranges, but the end result is so worth it. And the fact that you're able to make a living by selling them at the market is even more impressive. Keep up the great work! And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
Not all pistachios are from Iran. I worked in a pistachio plant in California, USA, and the pistachios were growing in the same area. The nuts were harvested by machines, not hand-picked. Also, I worked in quality control at the beginning, and we never liquified the nuts to test them. Where I worked the process was much more modern, and the nuts went from the tree to the market in a matter of 2-3 days. I've never heard of anyone getting poisoned from pistachios! This was in the early 1980's.
Donna McQueen Hey Donna I have a couple hundred Pistachio tree Orchard and In looking for a place to process them near me. Im in Sacramento Ca. Do you know of a place I can take them?
the seed comes from Iran. 100% of the seed in CA came from Iran and the US increased its production after the revolution in Iran. there was no Pistachios grown anywhere in the US 300 years ago
Does anyone recall when pistachios were sold with a red dye on them? The process was different and the nuts discolored and thus dyed to look more presentable
Thank you. Would have liked to see clearer pictures of the tree/fruit. I had my first Pistachio ice cream in London (many years ago). I thought I'd died and went to heaven 😍♥️😍.
I grew Pistachios in The U.S. Harvest and processing is much different than Iran. We also shell the closed nuts, and package them shell-less. Much easier to eat!
American and Iranian pistachios are very different, both in taste and form We believe that pistachios and almonds should be packaged without peeling, This is better for maintaining the taste and health of the product, Of course, you only saw one pistachio production line, We also produce packaged skinless pistachios My friend, come to Iran, there are many pistachio growers here who gladly welcome you The funny and surprising thing for Americans while traveling in Iran is that Iranians respect Americans very much. Like a brother, it is the only US government that broadcasts scary things about Iran on world television. Anyway, welcome to Iran
Here in India we use mostly pistachio flakes to garnish Indian sweet dishes and pistachio based sweet which is called pista Barfi (mostly grounded unsalted pistachio nut and sugar syrup with silver foil on top of it)and salted one are also popular but
+Shortythepresident You're words are very racist. You should not hate me simply because. My hair is blond, my eyes or blue and my skin is almost as white as milk. P S and I thank our CREATOR FOR IT. But white haters will hate.
Little known fact, based on personal experience: mice love pistachios. It's like crack for rodents, the only food that mice have ever stolen out of my kitchen.. Bait your mouse traps with pistachios stuck down with a dab of peanut butter; pistachio "butter" would probably be even better, gonna have to find a source for that and try it (I've got some almond-cashew-honey butter that also works better than ordinary peanut butter, but pistachios still work best). I live in rural New England, surrounded by oak trees; we had a bumper crop of acorns this fall and so the mouse population has exploded. They always invade the garage and attic in the Winter and it is a constant battle to whittle away at their burgeoning population. They also like to nest in the trunks and wheel wells of our cars, and chew on jumper cables and any other emergency equipment stowed away in the cubbies.
I bought a big bag of Pistachio's from Costco the other day with no shells on them, would be interesting to know how they removed all the shells during the manufacturing process.
***** I broke my tooth like that. :( So be careful. You can open the ones that are only slightly open with another half of a pistachio shell btw, just put it in the gap and twist it sideways. It works great!
timecrashzero That not how you spell the word pistachios silly. Here let me fix that sentence for you: "Pistachios are great, am I right?". And yes, they really are great. :)
Sarah Alotaibi i had no idea my favorite snack came from iran? well i get the california grown sweet chili flavor here in the east coast.im not so sure i would trust iranians sending us food considering they call us the great satan & vowed enemies for life.
I like them a lot. But I discovered a trick for opening them without your fingernails. Once you’ve open one nut save half of the shell which you can use like a tool to pry open additional nuts. No more sore fingers.
The Central Valley of California produces the high quality pistachios nuts that most Americans are used to eating. The Iranian pistachios seen in the U.S are usually considered low quality compared to American nuts.
I have a Ginko tree in my yard. It bears fleshy yellow berries (unsure if that is the correct term) which have nuts (or is that seeds) inside them that look exactly like raw Pistachio nuts. The yellow fleshy part smells like dog poop. I have never eaten one of the Ginko nuts, but the squirrels love them.
Pistachio nuts are not only tasty and fun to eat but also super healthy. These edible seeds of the Pistacia vera tree contain healthy fats and are a good source of protein, fiber....cryo-frezz,,,whole thing%$....
