I agree that there’s nothing we can do about there changes so why worry about it. If you cross list and make sales across multiple platforms, I think the fees kind of even themselves out across the board. Sometime you’ll have a Mercari sale with no fees, sometimes you’ll have Posh and eBay sales with some fees. Nothing to stress over. Like you said leaving the platform won’t do us any good in the long run.
I won’t shop garage sales without prices. I don’t negotiate either, unless maybe I grab a bunch of stuff and ask for a bundle deal. I just went to a sale that a girl had all her clothes in totes. Miss me jeans and lululemon poking out. I asked and she wanted to price per item after you pick through. It kept me from even looking because I don’t want to spend 20 minutes picking through her clothes and her wanting $20 a piece or something, you never know what they value their things at. Might be my loss, but 🤷🏻♀️.
I don’t like to negotiate either. When I did Garage sales I always put the prices. It’s so annoying asking the price for every item. Great findings to great sales. ❤
My favorite saying, “ Making money while I’m making money “ usually if I make a sale at my part time job. ( so I can have personal interaction with people)😂
I’m an anxious person, especially about change and I’m shockingly mellow and indifferent about the poshmark changes. I must be getting sick or something 😂 I don’t feel like the roll out was well planned or orchestrated. I feel like it was a little unprofessional to not give their sellers more notice. I don’t negotiate at yard sales. I also don’t shop at yard sales that don’t have prices displayed somewhere. Yard sales near me are extremely lame anyway. I think the culture in my area is more to just donate everything rather than to deal with the hassle of having a yard sale. The ones that I do find, I swear everything is from Walmart 6 years ago and they want 50% of original retail. So I sleep in on Saturdays🤷♀️
I haven't seen anywhere the break down of the fees for the buyers so I did an experiment. I got a top for $24. The seller was a posh ambassador so shipping was $5.95. I live in a state with no sales tax on clothing. I had a balance of $24.23 on posh mark. It wanted to charge my card $9.51. $24 + $5.95 - $24.23= $3.80. So apparently buyers also pay the 1-2-3 fee structure and the 5.9%? At no point during check out did it ever give me a breakdown of charges. Just some food for thought.
Not a single sale since the change. I am a little worried. But, then again I did read that Ebay will be doing something similar next year because they already started it in the UK. I had the same thing happen with Mercari and Depop.
I personally think the platforms are all getting way too greedy and it has gotten to the point with all the postage increases and fee increases and some buyers stealing items on eBay then you can take your customers and go solo and make your own web site
This is a loaded question 😂 It takes me about 2 hours/day Monday-Friday to list 20 items (100 per week). I have a helper come over on Monday to photograph the 100 items for me & she also bags them.
I just purchased through what you linked it says super bright but daylight was a different one. Just wanted to make sure I had ordered the correct color. You are a dynamite couple!
I dislike those sales where they tell you beforehand well that's name brand and is expensive what would you offer?..... Like really just me the price 😂 I'll see if it's worth it or not. I also try not to pay more than $1 or $2 for clothing.
Yes I agree with you. I go to this little local thrith shop and sometimes items aren’t priced. There is one guy there that every time I ask him do you know the price of this item, or can you price this item for me. He always saids well what do you want to pay? I hate this. The thrith shop does so much for our little town. I wish he would just give me a price and I will say yes or no.
This was the weekend sales so 2 days worth! I’m not sure of the exact banker box size but they are the model 799 which I believe is just a standard size. We do have an Amazon link in the description!
