That's just the thing. There are many, many people like her. She said so herself: An ordinary person in an extraordinary situation. Being so normal under the circumstances is precisely what made her so special.
There was the story about her stopping by a tea room near Sandringham. Two British ladies at a nearby table told her that she looked so much like the Queen. The Queen once again delivered a priceless remark, “That’s so reassuring.”
At the Edinburgh Commonweath Games, the Queen photo bombed two Australian female athletes who were taking a selfie. One of the best photos of her, as it showed her sense of humour and her humanity.
It’s been a privilege to have had Queen Elizabeth as our head of state since I was 2 years old in 1952 until her sad passing. She is truly missed. What an extraordinary woman who loved her people all over the world.
The British often forget that she wasn't just queen of England Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland but queen of the whole Commonwealth. She was just a much a head of state to people living in distance countries as she was to those living in Britain.
@@draganminic4928 How can you be promoted to longest serving monarch when you already are. A promotion for her or any monarch would be the absolute ruler of Britain or in other words the politicians doing what they're told by the monarch not the other way round. If they won't do as they're told then off with their head!, like they used to do. If you're promoted then you leave your present job to begin a new one. The monarch can't be promoted for they're in the top job to begin with and if they leave it's called abdication and it's not being promoted for abdication is a demotion. On the 9/09/2015 Queen Elizabeth II was awarded the title of Longest Serving Monarch not promoted to it. There is a subtle difference.
They had a week of mourning in the UK when she died and in Australia we had a paid public holiday. When her husband the Duke died I knew she wouldn't be long for this world and she wasn't either. Sure she had a loving family round her but it's not the same for the central pivot in her life was gone and she saw no real reason to carry on without him.
I had my own Queen incounter. I was riding towards Kingston Surry, on my very young, but very big black Irish Draft horse. We were passing the high brick walls of what are known local as the Queens Paddocks. I had been told that this was where the Queen was looking to breed some superior coloured drum horses. Who knows! I was just about to pass in front of the 8 foot high unmarked, wooden, access gates, swung open. A green Morris Minor estate, ‘woody’ pulled out. A little woman in an old tweed hacking jacket, wearing a big silk scarf on her head, opened the gate to drive out at me through the open window. It was the Queen!! I did a sort of double take, and halted. She looked up at me. I looked dawn at Her! She gave me and my horse a quick u throughly knowledgeable up and down, smiled briefly, and drove off towards Hamption Court. This was before the fire. Those were the days, when our monarch felt quite safe driving about “ incognito “ without a security guard. And she was.
All of us royal subjects would have recognised the Queen instantly, but if you're not from the UK or the commonwealth, you may not recognise her. She is missed to this day.🇦🇺
Absolutey not true! I am American and these types of stories embarrass me. If I saw SOPHIE out in the street, I would know who it was, let alone The Queen!
You are not correct a few times she hasn't been recognised..one woman told her she looked very .Uchida like the Queen. Her response was .."that's very reassuring"
See, this is one of the many things that I loved and admired about Queen Elizabeth; and that is that even though she was so very famous and tremendously well loved and admired the world over, she was still a very down to earth, real and humble lady. She did have the right priorities, like duty and the people she loved. She could wear jewels and crowns, and the most elegant exquisite attire, and I think that it mattered little to her, because that wasn't where her heart was. Those things were probably just material things to her. She ruled and reigned by serving her people. I love her and I miss her so much! 👑🌹🌷💐 ***** Last year, in August or September, I was thinking alot about Queen Elizabeth, and I remember saying Queen Elizabeth's name in my mind, and I actually "heard" something like a thought voice, say to me, "I'm not Queen anymore, just Elizabeth". Can you believe it?!
What a wonderful lady. I'm not British, but I've been a fan of HM the Queen, since my childhood. I still miss her and everytime I see one of these videos, it always brings a tear, or two. Rest in peace, Your Majesty. 🇺🇲❤️🇬🇧
QE2 and my Granny Esther bore a striking resemblance to each other, even as young women. My grandmother, even though of very humble origins, carried herself with great charm and grace throughout her lifetime. Granny passed away three years prior to QE2, and when QE2 passed away it reminded me of my beloved grandmother. Rest in Peace ladies. 🥰
That’s a wonderful story! My late MeMaw (I’m from Alabama, so it’s a Southern thing) died when I was 8. She also looked like Queen Elizabeth, and carried herself w/ grace and dignity. Whenever I saw the Queen, I couldn’t help but think of MeMaw. I’m so sorry for the loss of your granny, as it truly is the worst pain. God bless you and your’s.
There will never be another Queen Elizabeth, especially a queen with such high standards not just for herself & family & staff, but for the Countries people she served. Its a shame the Monarchy is having a terrible time right now after her Death. God Save The Monarchy. We still need the Royal Family.
Queen Elizabeth was the only Monarch I knew. Her death brought me to tears. We shared a birthday and I was born the year she became Queen. I’m sure King Charles will rule well, but his mother will always be my favourite monarch! I did meet the Queen Mother when she visited the town I grew up in many years ago. She was an absolute angel! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
I saw the Queen in Sydney when I was about 4 or 5..1952 or 3 even though is was across the road outside the town hall when she arrived..I can't understand why having never met this woman or knew her why I still get tears in my eyes everytime I see old footage of her..I actually miss her deeply..
The queen and her sister used to mingle with everyone else during the war with scarves tied on their heads and no one recognized them... All good fun 😁
I've heard this one as well. I just love hearing it over and over again. Hilarious! She was such a character. I'm sure that many others, including Brits who have chanced upon her near Balmoral didn't realize who she was. I mean...who goes off for a stroll thinking that they will run into the Queen?
I’ve met many famous people through working at a small, but expensive restaurant in metro Detroit. What I learned quickly, is you might not recognize celebrities because you’re used to seeing them in movies and television, which is a flat representation of them. When you meet them in life, you’re seeing their face in depth, and they’re actually talking to you. I think it’s why sometimes when seeing celebrities, people stare, they can’t believe they’re actually seeing a person they’ve been familiar with perhaps their whole life. It’s especially strange when you meet someone you find attractive, it happened to me a few times. I nearly made a fool of myself once when I met David Groh who played Rhoda’s husband in the 1970’s.
Funny lady!!!! As an American I'm not a fan of any Monarchy. But this was a real lady I would loved to have met. Deepest respect for her and her father!!!
I watched the interview with the protection officer on the BBC when promoting his book. When the Quenn was asked about meeting the Queen, she replied "no but he has", which was off the cuff, s more wittier and funnier.
Haha I don’t know why now days so many do like this there is a woman to give royal news with voice that like child shouting not thick voice but realy want close your ears like garbage spoils one’s they take shops they can’t handle there own piss if shits out of home .
I've got to say that I would know the Queen in any setting. My direct heritage is English 10 generations ago. In that sense, I keep track of my very distant cousins from across the sea. I have to say those American tourists who didn't recognize Queen Elizabeth II must have been as airheaded as Princess Di.
HM, Lillibet was not boastful of her position, wealth etc....she was private. That is being professional, not having to express who she was , what she owned, how much she was worth, how many minks, R/R, Bentleys etc she owned, very much unlike the USA former president.
Anyone who follow the royal family in the U. S. would have recognized her immediately. Just happened to be tourist unaware and unaware where they were Scotland. Those of us who adore and respect her love this story. Of course she is not on our money or stamps. 😂 But Canadians would have definitely recognized her as well. ❤
She did it to others - not just the yanks! She did it at Balmoral to some British people who said she looked just like queen. She said several people have told me that!
I miss her. I'm so annoyed that Charles has given Camilla the title of Queen when the Queen told him she wanted her to be called Queen consort.she will never be a Queen. Like the Queen's husband was never a king but a duke.
i miss the ol' girl, she was the only monarch i'd ever known; im sure these days you could run half of london hydro from her spinning in her coffin so much...................
Got to 4.07. Queen Elizabeth E (what?). she did not grow up at Balmoral, cant watch any more. You have embarrassed yourself and mislead all the people who commented. I am sorry if you corrected yourself later and I missed it.

Your use of computer generated narration won't get you many subscribers. If you can't afford to hire an English speaker, just use subtitles. But if you use the computer because you're ashamed of your accent and/or English pronunciation, don't be, because most English speaking audiences appreciate a foreign accent. Honesty sells. Fake does not. Good luck.
