Jev deserves everything, hes missed all the FaZe drama, the scams and the clout chasing. Hes literally the only one just respected for being himself.

Blaziken was one of my favorite FaZe members growing up, he was the most relatable to me and he could hit some nasty shots. But anyways, he’s one of the last people that should be making music, let alone HIP HOP.

A really good example on how to switch career's in my opinion is how Joji did it. Slowly work on it & mention it consistently enough so once you decide to do it full time, a good chunk of your audience is already looking forward to it. Also I think just being honest & genuine while transitioning can be the difference of succeeding or failing.

It bothers me to no end when I see a successful RU-vidr turn their back on the things that gave them fame and instead pursue music. ESPECIALLY, if they have no talent or passion for the industry and just see it as a cash grab. As a small artist and producer myself with little to no following after years of hustling, it’s just annoying to see people fumble an opportunity so hard. Luckily most fans can see through the façade when a creator clearly shouldn’t be making music. Great video Matty! 🔥

Alot of these creators make the mistake of using their already big name. Pushing music under a completely different name and starting from the bottom is the proper way. Stay consistent on what you've been doing and start from scratch with the music

Bro its so crazy to hear someone else talk about growing up watching the faze guys besides me and my friends from high school. I actually voice chatted with Blaze when he was in Obey, in a black ops 2 ffa game. I told him I was a big fan. He actually plugged in his headset and thanked me for being a fan, and I was blown away by his genuine-ness. It's def sad to see what he has to do nowadays to still make good money off RU-vid.

Spot on with the water bottle flip reference 😂 Those early monetized days of RU-vid were pure gold for anyone putting some effort & ingenuity into it...or just picking a good title/thumbnail. all I gotta say is first off, all my homies love Jev, he's genuinely enjoyed making COD content for over a decade (I hope its not forced) and still going strong, sure he ain't in his prime in terms of views, but he still gets a very good view count for a channel his size, and still has the pop off video here in there like when he releases his ragetages of him grinding for the Damascus Camo and shit, which all who grinded it, fully related to. Second off, I'm happy Blaziken is doing well in his new chapter, obviously he is chasing other avenues to get money, because YT and FaZe is not paying him much if at all, and he's been successful in these avenues thanks to his passion for them and his genuine feel he gives off in his rapper invterviews, he feels more like a curious fan with a script then a interviewer with generic questions vetted by a board of nerds to ask the artists.Well, atleast some of those interviews are like that, and I hope it going to TV lets him have more creative freedom.

This is crazy seeing this. Lucas, or Faze Blaziken, and I used to run 6mans on bo2. I played for probably days with him back when he was in a knife only clan called xJMx. The one thing that definitely set him apart from the rest of us was his ambition, I could always tell he was forward thinking and looking ahead. That’s why when he joined faze, none of us were surprised. And when he got into rap, I can’t say I was surprised either, that looked to be the trend of where RU-vidrs were going. Unfortunately, as we parted ways and I went to college, I even unfollowed him due to all of the cringe stuff he was posting and I haven’t caught up with him in over 4 years. But thanks for making this video; Lucas is a really great guy but needs a reality check

I think lucas has always just followed his dreams and what he was inspired by. We live once. Can't really blame someone for wanting to live the life they wanna live

Never seen Faze Blaze. Never grew up with Faze (I was in my 20's). Never heard of you or seen any of your videos.. but I quite enjoyed this. You have a pretty bright future, mate.

Another example is Anaya Perry. She was so famous as a comedian but was forcing her music and lost so many subscribers, deleted all her comedy vids, and doesn’t even reach any views for her wanna be rapper career

He could've just as easily fallen into irrelevancy taking any other route. He hasn't exactly "ruined his career," yeah hes not making the views he once was but hes still making a healthy living. edit: I for sure commented before getting to the end lmao. People don't return back to Jev because of the content. People return to watch his videos because Jev, as a person, is still the same. He still has the same morals, goal, ambitions, and personality that people subscribed for. This isn't me saying that I think Blaze or anyone else from FaZe have completely changed or are bad people, but a part of them did and fans noticed. They didn't like it so they stopped watching. His 180 shift of content and personality is what killed his channel. Sad to see, but he did it to himself.

Have not watched the whole FaZe thing for a while, since I am 20 now, but I do remember one thing Jev said in a video years ago that stuck with me and made me respect him. He was talking about money and leaving his grandparent's house before he even had his girlfriend, and he said "I could have all these fancy cars, nice houses and jewellery but that's not me i'm just a nerd who sits around playing video games, why would I need all of that, I rather save money. I'm cheap, I don't like spending money." And that made me respect him a lot for not letting all the money change who he really was, and I think that's why he is so successful, he never tried to change because he loved what he was doing and felt no need to get more out of things, that, and he is super respectful, like his 1million video I know a lot of RU-vidrs say this that the other, but a lot of people could tell he was actually crying and meant everything he said about his fans. TLDR, Jev is the poster boy of not letting fame and money change you and staying true to who you are.

I actually used to really like Blaze content. He used to do trickshotting videos when trickshotting was still a thing. He was actually really interesting. I liked the dude. He seemed really chill. Then he moved to LA.

Jev is easily the best one that's left. When it comes to the others like jj, he actually tries with his music and well he has his own channel that he actually posts on along with the group channels. Not to mention that he's had a big following for years

I was around the right age to be into Faze, but they were just never really content that I saw, got recommended to me, or really thought to seek out. They were everywhere as a joke in like mlg memes, but I really never saw their content anywhere until they started getting into controversy around 2016.
