For years Rapunzel and Eugene have been going on the long journey to get engaged. While there were many bumps along the way as we watched them navigate their relationship in Tangled The Series, finally in the finale Plus Est En Vous we are shown how Eugene proposed the lost princess. The proposal that would change these two forever before they were married in Tangled Ever After following so many failed attempts has occurred. That’s why today we are going to be discussing this entire tale that was depicted in Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure!

I mean, that implies that getting married when you’re sure that you love someone is a bad thing. Getting married in no way implies that there wouldn’t be adventures later. In fact, I doubt much would have changed in the series adventure-wise if Rapunzel and Eugene had gotten married the first time. They still would’ve gone to investigate throughout the series.

I love how the proposal was like in the same spot of where he took her on her 18th birthday and the fact that Eugene and Rapunzel are in the original outfits from the movie as they get engaged I found it to be so beautiful. Compared to the first proposal that Eugene try to do where they are not dressed as themselves and the whole I'm a princess but I like my freedom and love my boyfriend thing going on so I think this was the best engagement of a Disney princess and prince. Since you really don't get to see the other princesses and princes proposing to the Future wives or husband the others just get married well besides Merida and Pocahontas.

This is the top couple in Disney we got to see. We had the movie start their relationship and falling in love. Then the the series showing their relationship developed and be tested. Even to the point of clarifying boundaries and having the key component of communication be developed between both of them. That joke about who will propose next showed how much they both have grown together and how much better they are at communication. Which is important for anyone taking a big step in marriage. I like this show because at its core it was about rapunzel’s relationship with everyone and learning how grow in them and how it is beneficial for both sides

I thought that the journey that Rapunzel and Eugene went through was special. They got to know each other on a deeper level than when they first met or even trying propose. They are a sweet couple and are just right for each other! They went through so much together, which only brought them closer. It may have been that they were not ready at first, but they were ready in they end to get married. #DisneyCouple

One of the best things about this that I love, is that the proposal, allegedly according to one of the show’s crew members, happened on Rapunzel’s birthday. And the proposal happened after the lantern celebration and Eugene and Rapunzel stayed behind after everyone else, hours just relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. Which I think was so sweet and romantic and just perfect and magical!

I actually choked up over their proposal scene. It was so beautifully handled from the callbacks to the original movie to the score in the background. Yeah, Rapunzel and Eugene went through a few hiccups, but after seeing that proposal, I wouldn't have changed a thing. I love that it just took a simple cupcake and boat ride to make it all come together. This show has really made me appreciate this pair, as they go through real struggles that are barely shown with other Disney pairs. I love that the show acknowledges that Rapunzel still has mental issues to work out after being trapped in a tower, instead of just brushing it aside so she and Eugene could get married. Just....ugh, this show is perfect. It makes me love Rapunzel and Tangled as a whole all the more. ❤

These two are relationship goals. I just love how their relationship developed throughout the movie and series. The fact that Eugene was willing to wait until Rapunzel was ready was something I absolutely adored and it made me love the two even more.

I’m actually glad that Tangled: The Series was given the opportunity to reach the conclusion it did, and to do so in the way it did ( ie. with respect for both the audience and also the Tangled franchise and its overall continuity). I kind of think the ending would have been cuter if, after years of the proposal timing being off, they then proposed to each other in unison.

OH I Love Happy Endings!!!! I especially like the final scene when Rapunzel said yes, it was beautifully done, considering how it is a stark contrast to when Eugene made his first proposal in a crowded throne room full of of people, he instead does it in a boat in the ravine at the outskirts of the kingdom, far from prying eyes at the first place they both discovered their love for each other, with Rapunzel's only confidant Pascal by her side. It's a true testament to the love, empathy and understanding of one other that has intricately developed as long the series has. Congratulations Disney you made quite a Gem of a Relationship with Rapunzel and Eugene. Eupunzel?.

I feel the best relationships are taking slow and steady. That you have to get past physical attraction and infatuation. That you need to be friends first and get to know someone. That you can actually talk to them in a normal conversation. That you have simple dates. A walk in the park while walking your dogs for example. That you shouldn't rush into all the nine yards. I think because they took the time to really get to know each other. That they could have actual conversations and were both friends that this is why their relationship will work forever. I strongly believe you don't find love it finds you and when you least expect it. But I also as I stated above I really believe you need to take things slowly and build on your relationship if you want it to be meaningful and last. I also liked to point out that both Rapunzel's parents and Eugene's father got to know each and both of them gave their approval for their relationship which I think is a very big deal given both were raised without their families. So those are my thoughts.

Meaning he was giving his blessing to Rapunzel to marry Eugene and she be an excellent daughter-in-law. Now if only Eugene's mom wasn't dead and lived to see her son wed. That be icing on the cake to have all their parents their for their big day.

I love how they developed the relationship across the series, it was so true and heartfelt and understandable. I wish there was one more episode of it!! Also, In the last scene of the townspeople and extra characters of Corona you see Stalyan (Eugene's ex) and Brock Thunderstrike (Eugene's copycat) close together hinting that they are a couple! Which I think is perfect and a really cute ending for those redeemed side characters. ❤️

This is just another example of why Rapunzel is my favorite Disney princess (aside from Belle but I count her as my 2D animated favorite and Rapunzel is my 3D animated one) she gets to go through this whole journey of self-discovery after finding the freedom she longed for and starting to figure out who she is and what she wants as a person after going through such horrible trials in her life which I can relate to so much after going through some emotional abuse myself. And Eugene, bless his heart, was able to let go of his old life which wasn't exactly good for him and then fell in love with someone real for the first time who accepted him for who he was after only knowing her a few days. Classic Disney romance right? lolz! Anyways, I love how they supported each other through it all and didn't put too much pressure on one another to make their engagement official because these things take time and its a lifelong commitment. I mean speaking for myself my first boyfriend broke up with me because he knew I needed to focus on the major issues happening in my personal life since we were doing it long distance which was tricky anyway, and he's still my best friend which means we both handled the break up very maturely. So if we try again, that's great, but if not at least we respect each other and feel comfortable enough sharing our feelings whether they're good or bad and I still have my best friend. I see a lot of that with these two crazy love birds so I'm glad they were able to take care of what they needed to and then made the mutual decision to be together for their happily ever after.

In an interview, the showrunner basically said it was there in case they couldn't tell everything that they wanted to about the brotherhood and the dark kingdom, but since they did, the note wasn't needed

Rapunzel and Eugene have a good and healthy relationship. Eugene was patient with her and Rapunzel eben tried to propose herself. In the last season they even joked about their proposals. Before that, it was a confusing topic and they treid to avoid it, because they waited for the right moment. I really appreciate this kind of relationship in a tv show. These two are so loyal, understanding and kind...I know now what kind of relationship I want. Of course I want a healthy relationship where I can speak with my parnter about everything, but Rapunzel and Eugene gave me a very good example for a great relationship. I don't need a relationship. I'm fine being single. I'm free, I don't have those kind of feeling for someone and I have my family and friends to keep me company. I don't feel lonely. I'm happy with being single, but if I can find someone, who is kind as Eugene and I love this someone, I would be happy to marry someone. c: Raps and Eugene are my favourite Dsiney couple too.

They were the best in the movie but the series Completely ruined their relationship. Rapunzel not only always takes him for granted, she also lets cassandra constantly insult him and says nothing, keeps secrets from him in the first episode and rejects his proposals even though she was willing to give up her entire freedom and basically her entire life just for him in the movie. And now your telling me she would let another person constantly insult him, lie to him, take him for granted and even reject him? Are you kidding me??? This seems so out of character for rapunzel. I could believe it if she wasn’t willing to give up her life for him in the movie but she was! Like that it seems just out of character. And it’s also completely unrealistic for the time period they live in to reject a proposal and then still be together. Back then you could only be together if you were engaged or married, that’s why all the princesses marry so early, it’s just fitting for the time period and I hate it when people criticize the other princesses for marrying so early when that’s only how things worked back then, you had to be married or engaged other else you couldn’t be together. And I hate it that she rejected his proposal and then was allowed to still date him in the series that’s not realistic for the time period. If you want a modern relationship you should let it take place in today’s time not the 18th century! And if the writers didn’t want her to be married yet they should have just let them be engaged at least. I hate how they portrayed marriage as a prison for rapunzel even though she loves him. Marriage only means you can’t break up with this person anymore and if she really loved him she wouldn’t consider a life with him as a prison. I mean this is the person for whom she was willing to give up her entire life! I just don’t get it! And I also don’t think flynn would even propose in front of so many people, in the movie he valued private moments like in the lantern scene or the kingdom dance scene. It just seemed out of character for him just like all the other moments in the series with him where he was just stupid or arrogant even though he seemed rather smart in the movie and his arrogance just seemed like an act. I mean he took the Identity of the flynn rider book character and I always assumed it was just the character who was arrogant and dated many girls and that flynn just acted like him but was different on the inside. In the series they made it look like that was his real personality, not just an act and I hate that. Why can’t the writers look deeper??? And why did they have to give him an ex girlfriend and imply he was a player before??? That ruins the romantic relationship because in real life players can’t settle down with just one girl, they will cheat and break up. And they basically imply that flynn is such a guy in the series. They completely destroyed the romance by implying Flynn was such a guy before and they destroyed the relationship by having Rapunzel only care about her bff and not the person she supposedly loves and for whom she was willing to sacrifice herself. Ugh, I hate the series!

Watching this series and going along the ride til reaching this beautiful finale. I loved watching your videos and theories on the series about Cass and who her mother was and on who/what Zhan Tiri was and what her plans were with the sun drop and moon stone. All of it to lead up to a lovely proposal calling back to when Eugene took her out on the water for the lantern ceremony for the first time had me feeling all the feels~ 💕😍

I just noticed from the clips were eugene proposed for the first time that the ring is a gold band with a diamond and in the last episode were he proposed again that the ring is a gold band with diamonds all around it. i wonder why the animators changed the look of it and also at their wedding were the rings bounced away from the church and max & pascal had to chase after them they were two gold rings i believe?

I was originally skeptical of this series when it first came out. I was afraid it somehow take away from the beloved movie but I am happy to admit in this case I was wrong. A lot of thought and detail was put into this project. It was clearly not just a cash grab but a passion project for all involved and it only enriched the story I already loved. I don’t know if these two are my all time favorite couple but they are definitely in my top 3!
