Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to travel straight from a mystery island to another instead of having to go back to the airport and then go through the whole process of flying again? Like Wilbur would just have an extra option which says, “fly to another island” and u use ur NMT. That would be so much easier.
Actually that's exactly what I want. So far every villager I've fallen in love with are ones that I've seen people talk about how much they hate them except for two. One being Clay, my favorite villager on my family's island, and the other being Static, my best friend's favorite villager. Everyone else are people I saw that others didn't want, and so *I* wanted them.
I had no idea that Merry was so rare, on my old island she was the very first villager I ever encountered. I have really good luck with cats in this game
Heck yeah. in NH I adopted my boyfriend's Samson, and my boyfriend adopted my Cheri, Ozzie and Patty. they all remember us. Heck CF doesn't even have internet abilities anymore, and my friend's Puddles just moved in.
The first campsite villager is always a smug. You can't get a smug villager before you meet the campsite one. Some people are lucky/have the 'right' species of villagers on their island to get the smug cat.
Didn't expect Merry was actually rare. She has always been one of my favs for her cutesy, and was joyful to get her when she randomly moved into my island. She's such a sweetheart, I always give her best gifts :)
I have somehow ended up with both Raymond and Merengue on my island. Raymond was a random while island hopping and a friend demanded I take him when I told her as a joke. Merengue was a move in after I ran out of nook miles/will to do any more hopping.
most people don’t do that. they just get them from other players who have either gathered a lot, hacked them in, or got them from other people who hacked them in / a treasure island.
I'm really glad to see Jambette in this video. Not many people like her so I've barely ever seen her in pictures or posts anywhere else and if feels as if she's not even part of it sometimes but it's nice to know she's out there haha. She is a dreamie of mine
hate how Lobo is not mean to me anymore.... I´ve been with him through multiple games and suddenly he is just like "omg you got me a flower thank you so much thats so considerate" like wtf?? where is my tsundere kinda neglecting father figure wolf huh???
cobb is mean to me it was my first day on the island and he said ew you look ugly try wearing something less extreme hot dog😡 i hate him he keeps telling me to work out and bragging about his abs
When I invited Marshal via Amiibo card, he asked me to craft him a Golden Candlestick and gave me a Jesters cap in return. Since he moved in, he's given me two extra copies of the Golden Candlestick DIY recipe. He also once invited me to his house to celebrate my birthday, saying he'll "count the minutes" to my next birthday. Less than hour later he tells me he doesn't know what day it was, and he'd rather "count butterflies than minutes."
Ceaser (A gorilla) Moved to my island since I did not find another villager for the plot in time (I'm lazy when it comes to island hopping and tend to let the game decide) I looked him up since that's what I do when I see the name on the sold sign and FREAKED out, He is quite possibly the ugliest thing ever, But he moved in and grew on me. Give the ugly villagers a chance! XD
Does Tom Nook erase the villagers memories when they move out? Thats probably why they don’t remember you and that’s probably why some of the villagers question the fact that they are real. There is a deep feeling in my heart that there’s more to ACNH then we think😳...
Molly was one of my dreamies and she visited my campsite yesterday by chance And when I let her move in, Yuka (my autofilled villager) left, SO NOW WE HAVE MOL MOL
There's most likely someone out there who spent over 1000 tickets trying to find their dreamie, when their dreamie was actually in their move in queue the whole time without them knowing
one time i really wanted raymond, had a villager move out so i had room, tried island hopping many... many times... and then i gave up. sometime later there's shooting stars, got a few, next day raymond shows up on my island, (u know how they automatically choose a villager if you dont pick one, yeah), yes i screamed
Aww yay! Raymond is my dreamie. I want him so bad so I am stocking up on tickets. I also want Anka, Zucker and Marina next. (Lol so many dreamies I know).
Merry was the second animal I had ever seen on a Nook Miles ticket, when I talked to her she said she was already planning on movie in. Then she moved in as one of the first three to move in!
I wasnt even looking for a specific villager this morning and on the second island i went to Raymond was just chilling there, i couldnt say no, he looks a lot like my moms old cat so he has a special place in my heart
@@kopii00 he's special to me though, he looks like my old cat, just because he may have any special traits or any unique colors other than his eyes doesn't mean he's not special or cute for some people, and I wasn't looking for a particular villager
Damn, this really puts it into perspective over how many people tirelessly tried to find Raymond, only for them to never find Raymond no matter how many tickets they had. They think the RNG is against them, when really, it was Raymond existing in their move-in queue all along.
Thank you for this video, and your spreadsheet. I've finished the main storyline of the game and now I am on a mission to fully complete the game and make my perfect island. Silly me, I thought it would be fun to get all cat villagers...then I went looking into the rarity of the ones I would like as neighbors. By far this video is the most helpful I have found in giving me some idea of how long it will take me to find all the cats I am seeking. I just hope I have good luck when it comes to finding Raymond.
Is it possible to get Ankha when I only have fewer than 10 villagers on my island? I've been struggling with time travel campsite for hours. And want to include Ankha for the rest of the story.
So, I had a 1 in 735 chance of getting Dotty. This only makes me even happier remembering that day when she appeared in my camp. I literally screamed at my TV when I saw who was waiting inside.
dont forget that when accounting for villegers you missed you need to subtract your 4 villagers in hold basically 4 villagers are always in hold and if someone moves out one of the in hold villagers will move in villagers in hold can not be found on nook mile islands or in the dlc (one of my dreamies were in hold and I'm so glad I forgot to villger hunt) I just saw that the vid addressed this but oh well
I got SO lucky with the moving queue! I had accidentally let a plot autofill and started a hunt for Raymond because I love that he is a cat in a suit lol. I use the first ticket and there is no villager on the island. At this point I had realized he plot had autofilled. I check who moved in and ITS RAYMOND
I got lucky too! I got Raymond as the first visitor at the camp site which meant that he auto-moved to my island. I didn't know Raymond at that point beside the fact that he was really popular among ACNH players but I fell in love with him immediately
@@LaraSilvestris Totally... I was hoping to get Lucky the Bandaged Bow-Wow buddy myself, but stumbled on Alice the Koala instead! If you can't get one, score with another! 😄
I told my self to not make a dreamy list or I’ll be too upset over all the villagers I don’t have. It has yet to fail me, I have 3 villagers I love and didn’t have to go hunting, I just found them and went “yes, you will do.” Love you Meringue, Lolly and Lily! Best villagers ever!
This is what I did at the beginning, I ended up with Sherb, Marina, Beau, and Judy. Now I started hunting for my favorite villager, Goldie, and have no luck for finding her. I envy your style.
@@crispybacon-1663 might be in your queue, which you won’t know unless you let the houses auto fill. If you still have no luck, I’ve got a lot of NMT I won in a give away I have yet to use since I haven’t played in a while and don’t really think I’ll use them all. I won’t mind giving you some :)
Tangy was visiting my campsite yesterday (I just got animal crossing + a switch lite for Christmas 2021 from husband). No matter how hard I tried I could not get her to move to my island. I had 1 spot open! I played games with her non stop, kept losing. I kept telling her to move, BUT MAH FRIENDS! MY DANCE LESSONS!!!!! FINE YOU BRATTY CAT! DON'T MOVE TO MY ISLAND!!!! And don't come back! :p Kind of crushed me, I love cats in real life, probably a crazy cat lady if you think about it. I would love to have all the cats available in game on my island.... :'(
I know this is super late but I was super excited to hunt for Kabuki. I watched Kora's video and how she said that cats are harder to find and was super discouraged. I wanted to take notes and kept track of species. I got super duper lucky and got Kabuki by my 48th island. I do have 2 cats on my island already (Raymond and Rudy) so my chances were getting better but I am so happy I just got him a few minutes ago and wanted to share that under the video that inspired me to villager hunt. Thanks for the content Kora !
@@kariluc ;-; thats not true- your first campsite visitor never leaves. in fact, the game won't progress until you invite them to live on your island. so if raymond was your first campsite visitor, you couldn't have not been able to get him. -,-
"An octopus is your dreamy? Cool, you'll be able to find them pretty quickly" My friend trying to get an octopus for weeks and not getting it: 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
My issue is that I have more dreamies and "you're cool enough I want you to live on my island at least once" villagers than I have spots on my island. D: And I'm so in love with everyone on my island already, who am I supposed to say good-bye to so I can finally move in some of the Sanrio babies? Or finally collect all the female wolves like I've been wanting? Who am I supposed to let leave?!
One day I’m going to hunt for Raymond, then get Barold’s amiibo, invite him to my campsite and kick out Raymond to move in Barold. Just for the memes. 😎
@@helenzhang2818 That's kinda what happened to me. He was my first campsite visitor so I kinda had to accept him to progress in the game and then people wanted to buy him off me?? I didn't really understand why but I wouldn't sell him out of spite
"Cats are the rarest villagers to find, so if your dreamie is a cat, good luck spending hundreds of tickets to find them." (My dreamie is Bob) well frick
Tangy is my dreamie (she was my best friend in the Gamecube version), and I've spent so many nook miles trying to get her, and have not gotten her yet :(
@Ellie Barnett LUCKYYYYYYYYYY MY DAD THINKS ANIMAL CROSSING IS GAY(its an inside joke but he just absolutely hates the sound of the talking with all the wababaaabaa)
I had Olaf in New Leaf and I was going to get rid of him cause I didn’t like him (he said he was going to move out) and one day I accidentally told him to stay :( Today I was island hopping on New Horizons and sadly I came across Olaf. Guess who’s moving in tomorrow...
I found Bettina first, then Hornsby, then found Audie later, and in the campsite, Hippeux. Then I got Kody. Spike came in the day after. I’m just TrYiNg to get FILBERT!
Egbert is the only villager I'd ever consider hunting. He was one of my starting villagers in the original and in Wild World, got him very early in New Leaf, been with me for almost every bit of Animal Crossing I've ever played. Beyond that I like the variety of new characters. I wish they'd go back to having as much personality as in the original, but it's still fun to have a headcanon of unique relationships.
On pocket camp there are 2 types: normal villigers and map villigers. Normal villigers are on recreation spots and refresh every 3 hours and can be called to a specific spot by calling card. On other hand, map villigerss are found on islands where you ship stuff and then when it comes back you have to choose 1 wrapped souvenir, which can be the things you can get. When you get one map go to blathers on map and explore your map with for example cute essence, depends on the type of villiger, until the end where you get the villiger and can invite him to your campsite/cabin. (Also u can level up their friendship by treats and placing amentites.) Ik it's complex but ain't my fault-
When you start the game you're assigned a jock villager and a sisterly village. I wonder what the numbers are for those. Like if you want a specific jock is it quicker to keep resetting your game at the beginning or visit mystery islands.
Somehow I ran into two cats in a row when island hopping. Edit: It’s rare because there is a 1/35 chance of getting a cat, but to get two cats in a row it’s 1/35 x 1/35 which is 1/1225.
1/805 chance of finding a SPECIFIC cat villager, finding A cat villager has a 1/35 chance. So you had a 1/70 chance of that happening, the same chance of her finding marie or octavaian on the island, which happened alot
That’s not that rare. It’s not one in 805 to find any cat, it’s about the specific villager in that species. The more villagers in the species, the less likely to get a specific one.
That's not what it means. The odds of finding a cat and the odds of finding an octopus are exactly the same. However finding a specific cat is rarer than finding a specific octopus since there are only 3 octopus in the game and a lot of different cats.
It’s funny how I wanted Raymond and Merengue for my city core, got them because of amiibo I have stitches amiibo but I didn’t wanna bother with the furniture stuff, so I just hooded off, I finally got truffles moved out and two days later, STITCHES MOVES IN-
I had been hunting for pango for months, as she was my favorite and one of my first new leaf villagers. One day, I told my friend about my hunt for Pango, and he said “oh, here, have her amiibo card.” I wish I had known that he had it sooner XD
is there a reason why someone gets a "move-in queue"? or do we all have a list of villagers waiting to move in whether we visit other peoples islands or not? that's what I didn't fully understand...
@Larry No, I think the queue actually makes it easier to hunt. Lets say you want a cat villager. If you have many cats on your island (presumably 9) AND you have as many cats as possible on your move in queue (maybe use a friend or nookazon for easier procedures), the chance to get who you want will skyrocket. For example, Raymond's 1/805 chance, using these methods at peak performance, can be improved all the way to, well, even the 1/35 chance or even less, assuming the queue is infinite.
Fun fact. The odds are also modified depending on what villagers you already have (personality type, and the amount of villagers in the respective species)
yuh, if you have no one on ur move-in queue and you let a plot auto fill, i’m pretty sure if you don’t have, say, a jock on ur island, there’s a 50% chance of the auto fill villager to be a jock
Ever since my very first island, my biggest dreamy has always been Zucker, so hearing he is easy to find makes me so happy. Another one of my dreamy villagers is Marshall. Idk why but Zucker and Marshall have always held a special place in my heart :)
i actually have both on my island, none of my islanders has ever came to my island in less than 10 nook tickets so if i can find them im sure a year from now you could have found them if you haven’t already but personally i dont see why everyone is obsessed with the octopi because ive had all three on my island but marina was probably the only one i liked but after a while i got sick of seeing too many pink characters on my island and eventually i let them go
@@arrowlatte4148 oh thanks but I actually couldn't resist It anymore and bought her amiibo, now she just moved in😍 But thanks for the offer tho, so nice of you
When I first started my island, 3 out of my first 5 were cats! One of them being Merry 😱 Then I let her go for Rosie and regretted it. So I went hunting and found Merry again in ~50 tickets. Guess I just have good luck with cat villagers!
I just started playing ACNH (Christmas gift)and...Surprisingly, Merry was the 5th villager that moved in on my island today, I didn't even had to look for her...I was so happy because so far she's the only villager I like 😂 I didn't know how rare they were! I feel very lucky and I wanna send her a gift lol
Same! I didn't even know he was a rare villager. I just thought it was funny because I remembered him from the "Nobody's around to help you" meme and was thinking how I got the meme cat on my island.
I didn't realize how lucky I've gotten until I watched this video and heard all the numbers. Holy moly. I'm so glad I've gotten almost all of the villagers I've wanted by chance, but now I know that getting Kiki is going to be soooo tough.
I had her in a autofill a few months ago and I accidentally let her go. She asked to leave and instead of saying “no don’t go!” I accidentally said “good luck out there!” It still haunts me. Still can’t find her again after 4 hunts with about 300 tickets each
I love Kiki too!! shes my favourite all time villager!! she was in my new leaf town when i got the game back in 2015/2016. still havent ran into her which is sad...
"You don't want an entire island of ugly characters, do you?" Well, no, but guess who spent her Nook Miles tickets trying to find Tabby? ... Me, I did, I love Tabby.
I didn’t know how rare finding cat villagers are while island hopping. I got Kiki the cat first try, trying to get more islanders for my island.....and I love Kiki, she’s amazing!
@@jade-xd7wm :0 Lucky!! Im looking for her! If you did time travel or something.. can you give me any tips? I have found Genji, And a frog i dont remember her name.
I got Skye randomly on my first nmt, she is the 3rd villager to move to my island and she is the sweetest little wolf ever. She's become my favourite villager 😀
