As a kid, I decided for whatever reason that Hambo was my character's "boyfriend". I sent him a love letter not realising he would show other players (my family) lol
I'm a girl, but I chose a boy, because I don't enjoy how the girls look in OG Animal Crossing...I am literally 20 years old...and I was talking to Tangy, and she was talking about boys, and I swear it seemed like she was calling my character hot...so now I have a whole gag, that she's just my girlfriend LOL
My theory is Champ and Porter are not the same character. However, I believe Champ was the conducter on the GameCube version you could never interact with.
It’s confirmed Porter isn’t the same as Champ since they have different birthdays but I believe as well Champ was the conductor. Porter is also said to have a brother so Champ could be the conductor as well as Porter’s brother.
I really love it when people cover the cut animal crossing villagers. One guy I'm subscribed to did a tier list on them a while back, and he even made a mod which made six of them return... come on Nintendo, most of these villagers have been absent from the series for 22 years! You've got to bring some of them back in the upcoming game.
they did already bring some of them back from the point of disappearance! this happened to the following villagers who hadn't been seen in a mainline game since the gamecube game and then came back in new horizons: ace, azalea, chabwick, faith, frett, rio, roswell, zoe. i know people want MORE back but like they are and they do already do this
Woolio is probably the coolest lost villager ever. Coincidentally, I have both Sven (the old goat guy) and Woolio in my Gamecube town from back in the day and now my Gamecube's internal clock ran out of battery and time freezes when I don't play... so I can't really play the game as intended anymore but Woolio and Sven are also in this limbo that they can't randomly move out which is a silver lining 😅
It drives me up the wall that the Legend of Zelda villagers aren't available in New Horizons, but the Sanrio stuff managed to make it to the Switch. Honestly, none of the Sanrio villagers really do anything for me (why would they make the Hello Kitty villager a gorilla instead of a cat??). The furniture/wallpaper + flooring/clothes are okay, but all the villagers leave a lot to be desired.
Rilla might be a gorilla because Hello Kitty- despite her appearance- isn't really a cat. She's a little girl. So they chose a gorilla because out of all the animals that are in the game, primates are the closest related to humans. Why they didn't pick a monkey though, idk.
Same, I love Medli! I even bought the amiibo figure just so I can bring her to my New Leaf town. But I could totally imagine her graphics looking amazing if she was bought back. Here's hoping for when they make a new animal crossing game.
I’d love more videos about villagers that didn’t come back or even better if y’all can could you do a deep dive into the descriptions of villagers in pocket camp? Love your vids I’ve been binging em lol
To counter your point about the theory: If someone wants to be in disguise, they may also act differently as to not raise suspicions. So Porter could have done that for his disguise as a\Champ.
Hambo was my absolute guy. The moment he gave me my first nes game, he was my homie for life. When he moved to my friends memory card town i was so distraught, i moved over to just to be with him when i couldnt get him to move back. Then when he permanently moved away, i erased my town and kept making new ones in hopes to find him again. Never did. There are just some characters that just stick with you forever.
7:02 I mean that is the most realistic way humans could communicate with their pets or other animals. They don't have the same complexity behind their language that we do(probably it's impossible to know for sure I would think)
Oh wow I had a version of AC on the GC in the past and I remember playing it enough to remember having both Jane and Quetzal in my town. Neither of them really stood out to me much but I definitely and absolutely remember them both. RIP they'll be missed
It would be cool if they had alien villagers in the next Animal Crossing, and expanded on the 3 AM alien broadcast stuff. Nintendo should really embrace some of the creepy pasta stuff.
I acutely had some of those villagers in my town. I definitely remember Jane and Valise. And Wooleo I definitely remember. I always thought the sheep looked cool because they wore scarfs. P.S. Subscribed! 😄
I have Analogue in my town in DBe+ and his house is full of clocks. I set out to collect villagers unique to the game and I have Nindori, Meow, Analogue, Kit, Poko, Sunny, Quetzal, Woolio, Shoukichi, Pierre, Iggy, and Sven
i had almost all of the gamecube villagers near the end of the video at some point or another. i have fond memories of twirp, emerald, and chuck. iggy would end up in a lot of my towns though and i got sick of him
I miss Quetzal. He was the original Jock in my very first Animal Crossing file back in 2002. I also had Rollo in my Animal Forest village. His Japanese name of "Hippocrates" was quite different from what we got in the US. He was cool. I liked him. Unlike Tiara, who was also in the same village.
Like Coco the bunny, Nindori seems to be based on an inanimate object, with Coco based either on a coconut or a Gyroid and Nindori based on the orange Gamecube that was exclusive to Japan, which may explain the nature of his eyes, which resemble the large black circle on the top of the console. Looking at matters as a whole likewise, several missing villagers came back in the most recent Animal Crossing game for the Switch, including the robots Meow and Bow, as such, hopefully the rest will return too.
For whatever reason, mouse Carmen is the one that got me the most and now I despise rabbit Carmen. I think maybe I had her in my old game which is why. Maybe they could bring back the mouse version and call her Karen? I think the rumor for getting rid of her was that her catchphrase was bumpkin which can have a negative connotation.
I can't tell whether or not this is a different channel but well that voice seems oddly familiar like you talked a lot about Halo on a different channel or something
I think champ is porter's younger brother. Also I am sad toto isn't back. I really don't like jocks but if he was around, I'd add him to my island. I think people would have loved cupcake. I wonder if some of them didn't come back because they where either too generic or forgotten about.
The most likely reason as to why Bow and Meow haven't made an appearance since Animal Forest e+ is because they were created as a sort of cross promotion for the Bowlingual and Meowlingual devices back in 2003. Also, assuming Takara Tomy owns the rights to said characters, I highly doubt that they would be willing to let Nintendo include them in any subsequent games anytime soon. After all, why include a pair of promotional mascots when the thing that they're promoting is no longer being sold?
Calling Link Wolf Link also isn't accurate becsuse, although he resembles a Wolf, he is not canonically a wolf. The form is that of a monster of the twilight. It just happens to resemble a wolf for the sake of intuitiveness.
The chances of there being two chicken villagers named Hank and hector is an insane coincidence for a reference that I can hardly believe was an accident 🤔🤔😭😭
When deciding on a jock to resurrect for NH 2.0, how on Earth did the AC team settle on Ace (when there's already a blue jock bird) over Taro? How could they be so oblivious to how much more appreciated the latter would've been?
Sue E always moved into my town. I always disliked that character. But Hambo was great. Honestly I forgot a lot of these characters existed. Maybe he was on another game, but I remember a rabbit named Snake. I never saw him after the GC version. (I could have also missed him on this video.)
I think an investigation was done recently about Hazel the unused squirrel- I don't remember exactly what was found, but her name IS NOT Hazel. I believe Hunter R. has the information in one of his videos?
Ok! So! I went back through Hunter R's videos and found the info. 1. The fans called her BLAZEL. Not HAZEL. 2. Her name was found to be Shaki in the files of Dobutsu No Mori+. She never got an english name translation... 3. She was intended to be a seasonal/event/holiday villager, with signs pointing towards her having something to do with flowers.
