Thanks for this Brady! We've recently shifted from longer message clips (2-3 minutes) to reels and shorts, and our reach, views, and engagement have exploded.
Thank you for this video! Honestly it takes away the excuses "I don't know what to post". Wish there was a walk through editing video for Canva to help learn how to create reels/tik toks and vertical videos for anyone who is new to it. I could use ALL the pointers. Thanks for always sharing encouraging info, I always look forward to learning from you guys!
This is so useful. Thank you so much for this. Please alter cutting the particular clips, how do we ensure it appears as a video on face or Instagram? Without it appearing as a link that takes us back to the RU-vid video? Thank you
I'm going to bring this up to one of my pastors that helps me with social media stuff and try this out starting this week. We've been posting 30sec-1min clips from our sermons, but I think I'm going to try the shorter clips and just post more because we have a lot of content! LOL
Thanks Brady, very encouraging! I've been doing similar with stories for few weeks but in my new social media schedule im going to continue to weave into the fabric my 'Drive Meaningful Engagement' 'Provoke Spiritual Practice' and 'Story of my church' posts. So much content and only a small proportion needs to be created by myself. Very manageable I think. 👍😁 Thank you all at PCT!
Hi Brady, have a question, I've been struggling to have 60s videos, as a good idea seems to take more to be explained (2-3mins average). How do you deal with this?
As an evangelist I want the church to grow. But I find it that these days we are caught into psychology than what the Spirit would want to tell us to tell people. I don’t know how it would have been if Jesus had come in this generation. Regardless the word tells us that the wise win souls. So we have to find all ways to reach many. And that’s not a bad thing. Thanks for the video man.
We've been following most of this advice for awhile now. But the way we've done it is I get together with my Pastor after each service and record a couple short videos to be posted during the week. Things have been decent on TikTok and even starting to get more views on RU-vid but on Instagram it's been super weird: We started doing Reels in the fall last year and averaged between 2k - 4k views per video (page had 1700 followers at the time). That number abruptly skyrocketed to 10k views per reel at the end of April and stayed that way until mid-June where it came crashing down to barely 1k views per post. Can anyone explain why these kinds of drastic changes happen? I don't find these drastic changes happening on RU-vid or TikTok so isn't just the content.
What is your best workflow to get the pest parts from a message for shorts? The way we do it, someone is taking notes during the sermon (our pastors don‘t do much notes🤪). With the final recording i do automatic captions using Premiere. The one taking the notes sends me back the passage from the captions that he corrected as well. Afterwards is inserting the text to the video and making it vertical (with effect or by hand).
@@prochurchtools By the way I have begun making vertical videos for my church and the traction is insane. Our normal sermon videos get around a dozen views, 15-minute excerpts maybe 20, but a short will get anywhere from 200 to 1000 views, and I'm still dialing in the formula. I can only imagine what happens once I implement more of your advice!
