Also.. how they ruined an entire industry by their patent on raw-format. Which shouldnt be allowed to be patented at all. Red is one nasty company.

1st Sony with George Lucas did big move to DIGITAL,then to move from 1080 to 2k-4k The RED brand did a big ACTION,but you must know they as RED lied about own sensors,They bought and buying it from FORZA company,,,and after 15 years their 28K legend did not come TRUE,because it is not possible with current technology WHEN IMAX give us only 12K,which is the BEST of MARKET,,,but their pressure to market and consumers tendancy caused ARRI went to create a MIRACLE named ALEXA....

No camera has failed us on shoots as much as RED. And after the REDmag scam and lies to us users we sold it. Now we use Arri and we have never looked back. Hollywood barely uses them.

As a current film student, I've only been able to work with RED, specifically the Epic Dragon. Never had a problem with them yet. What was the one that gave you such trouble?

RED is hilariously unreliable. I know because I worked on them. Expensive to repair. Parts for some items are extremely hard to get at times. Most DSMC brains are really clapped out now. Have to have special kit to repair them. Not built well at all. They have gotten better in terms of build quality. But the Raptor and the Komodo are sometimes truly dreadful to deal with.
