Part is thermal fuse. The fuse was blown. That s why when he twisted the part leads, short it out and fan work.

Mine just took a poo poo last night. My solution to fixing it is going to be exchanging it at Costco.

Hi i plugged the fan on differenf volt without realizing, there was a spark fire in the black start button and i switched off. I could not see any visual damage. Is it all gone or its workable still😢
