Works as of 6/5/22. I dont know why they added beeping/alarms to a fan. Loved setting the 2 hr timer to stop once im asleep, only to have it wake me up at 1 am….. real genius. Pro tip, when reinstalling the circuit board, make sure to have it go under the edge clips so the buttons will actuate. If youre not hearing a click from pressing the buttons, its not put back correctly. Also, be careful with tension on the board! If the board cracks from too much pressure, itll break
Initial reaction was ‘ugh, I /can/ take it apart, but I really don’t want to’ but after watching your video, I decided to go grab a screwdriver (after typing this, because I won’t remember to do so afterwards). Thanks 😁
I have done surgery on so many devices already to rip out that annoying speaker. Toaster ovens, space heaters, fans. There should be a law that requires a mute button on these devices.
Thanks so much! Was ready to take the fans back but this literally took 10 minutes for the first and five minutes for the second. Great thorough instructions.
Just bought this fan tonight and was alarmed by the microwave beep!! Thanks for the video, just what I needed. I forgot to put that little black cover back on where I took out the metal disc 😳
Love this fan, but had no idea that it came with an annoying beep! I watched your video, brought the fan over to my desk and followed your directions exactly and it worked like a charm! Thank you so much for putting together such a clean and simple to follow video! I appreciate you! 🌟🤩👏
Very helpful video, easy to follow along. Would caution against using power tools when fasteners housed in plastic, unless you really have a good feel for the tool.
Guess I’ll be doing this after dinner. Just picked up the fan today and it’s my only complaint. Thank you for this. I read and reread the manual twice hoping I had just missed the instruction on how to mute it since you can turn off that tiny light.
Worked like a charm! No beep. The only edit I would make is how to get the round clip off the cord at the base. Two screwdrivers didn't work at all for me, but when I used a needle nose pliers on one side to push out and up at the same time and a screwdriver on the other, it came out easily. That was the only slightly difficult part of this. Thanks for the video.
AWESOME video - easy to follow and get rid of that annoying sound. My dogs were scared of the sound. I was going to return the fan because of the sound. I was scared at first because it seemed to in depth. However, you made it easy. It worked like a charm.
Similarly here, dog a little spooked by the beeping. This is a great video, very clear instructions and will be happy to disable the beeper in the fan.
I just slip a lanyard through the little hole on the remote. The beeping sound doesn't bother me enough to do all the stuff that you did. But I can see how that would be a great help to people who the sound bothers. Great and thorough instructions for disabling the annoying sound.
Sweet jesus christ yes, thank you. This was an easy lifesaver. What a monstrously awful and avoidable feature to add to an otherwise great semi-budget fan.
My woozoo was on and then it turned off by itself, a few minutes later I tried to turn it on, it turned on but it turned off 30-40 seconds later, until after several attempts it didn't turn on anymore Do you have any idea what could be happening? It would be very helpful :) thanks
when it shakes head at certain angel it will have some noise, thought may be due to loose parts or too tight for some parts. Not figure it out yet, not sure it is only mine or they all making some noise
Arrghh my model doesn't have the easy to unclip plastic thingy on the metal round thingy. Instead theirs an impossible to remove metal clip! Not a fix for one bought in the UK... thanks though
