"only brawler that has never been super popular and OP" well, I kinda disagree. People who played during season 5 know how broken his unload speed was.
i remember buying his bp and playing him for about one day when he was op. Day after he was nerfed to the ground and I wasn’t even trying to push him more than 300 trophies lol
@@pipysnipy5929 yeah, tanking 6000 DMG, back when tanks had like 8k HP, sounds balanced. When you played anything without having many hitpoints you we're just dead and did not have the reaction time to do anything about it.
@@oltimos8888he just hasnt had a touch up in forever, hes still extremely solid pick, honestly better than most pure supports like Byron. His hypercharge is going to be busted when he gets it for sure
"never been super popular and op" My guy, during his season ruffs players would camp in bushes and right as you got in you'd get 3 shots unloaded into you instantly
I just downloaded and started playing this game and I’m gonna buy him and make him my main idc if he’s not the most popular I like him and I feel like using him i love dogs ❤
Of course theres comments like this already, but Ruffs has been in my top 5 for over a year now. Enemies just dont know how to deal with him since hes not played that much, which means easy kills for me. Ive thought about pushing for his mastery title, but theres better titles to do that for
im pushing his mastery title. I think its badass and his player icon too. Just imagine getting on a game and seeing "Colonel" knowing damn well it's ruff's title and him being the most forgotten brawler
My in game username is Colonel Squishy, so I wanted Ruff's title. It was a VERY painful grind but I managed to get it and I've only played Ruff's a few times since getting his title
i got him r32 yesterday vbecause of the mutation in literally 2 hours from r25 and i have 1 more r30 and thatrs buzz but im top 3 ruffs in greece lol at 20k trophies
One small mistake you've made was about his super "healing" the unit whoever picked up his super. This is not true. While yes it kinda heals, it's not exactly healing? His super buff does 2 things: increases dmg and increases max hp. So when picking up his buff, you're not exactly healing, you more so get hp because your max hp increased, if that makes sense. So let's say you lost 20 % of 5000 hp. When picking up his super, it will change 20 % lost hp to whatever your max hp changed to. Also yeah ruffs is just boring. His super being a meteor is cool, but that's about it. I would say change back to fast onload speed, just not as fast as it was on release, then maybe he'll become a more fun brawler to play.
he's just not fun its as simple as that what is his gimmic? he has a super that drops a power crate. and u lose it after dying one of ur star powers (the 30 hp one) sux ur other star power is mid at best since its not anything much ur 2 gadgets suck ur a support brawler so ppl aren't gna play u as much in showdown which is fine but its def gna lower the rate ur main attack is being a knock off rico i don't play as much so i can't rly think of other things rn also he's rly boring to play
Why is half the video dedicated to comparing Ruffs to brawlers he isn’t even competing with? Comparing the super to primos is wild, they are vastly different brawler and the only similarity between the super is a circle AoE. Ruffs isn’t a long range brawler either, so comparing him to Piper is a nothing burger. Ruffs also does not heal, he increases max HP. Therefore the points you make about being outclassed by Gene and Poco are strange, a better argument would be that increasing max HP does not make a huge difference and healing brawlers works better in the current meta. Making Ruffs less meta. Comparing to Rico is valid in some ways, but you fail to understand the fundamental differences in them. Rico is not better because he has a longer range, he is better since he’s good at his role: Dealing damage at longer ranges and around corners. Ruffs is not good at his own role, being a support that increases damage and max HP. A case can be made for boring gameplay, but that’s subjective. Although worth mentioning But in my opinion, his flaws lie in a kit that doesn’t fit. A super that drops a boost for teammates should be used where teammates can easily pick it up, for it to deal damage is a nice bonus but just makes less experienced players mistake it for an offensive option. The problems mainly appear in the star powers and gadgets: The Take Cover gadget works as a nice shield for tanking a shot, it’s nothing special. But could be improved by all three appearing in front of Ruffs instead of 2 being behind him, often not tanking for anything. Most other gadgets that are used to tank shots (Bea, Spike) have some other utility. The Air Support gadget is strange, like why does Ruffs have a shitty area control ability? Nothing in the rest of his kit is about area control. This needs a change Field Promotion is an awesome star power, but 30 HP is nothing. Especially at level 11 since it doesn’t scale with level (which the sandbags do, everything should follow that example) A small buff and this star power is really good. Air Superiority however… this star power js so… bad. Dealing 120% more damage (more than doubling it), is useless. Yes the damage is then a little above 4k, but I think the fact that the damage of the super is not even shown in Ruffs info tab is telling enough that it’s not supposed to deal damage. And since this thing is so easy to dodge, good luck getting any mileage out of your 120% increased damage. The useful component of the star power lies in the wall breaking that it also brings the super. Buuut, did we forget that Ruffs likes walls? His projectiles bounce off of them, increasing range and making them harder to dodge. Additionally, this creates incentive to drop the super on enemy territory, cause 75% of the time, you want the enemy walls down. What does this do? It makes it harder for teammates to grab the power up This video could have been an interesting analysis, but the lack of research, effort and game knowledge shows here. Stop pumping out videos and spend some time developing a solid conclusion with stable arguments
