yea, the wiring that came with thing was terrible.. I ended up choosing to replace all the wiring but there still is the crappy wires that come off the lights.. I mean, I suppose you could try to pop the plastic casing to the lights apart and the solder good wiring in right onto the contacts but I didnt go that far.
I hope you are coming back to this to read comments. I am in the middle of building one of these and having problems with the front and back frame not laying flat next to each other. The front and rear platforms do not lay flat due to rear bolt head. The front bed platform bolts through the axel frame support, while the rear does not (in order to flip up). Therefore the rear platform has a bolt head that rests on the axel frame support raising the platform the height of the bolt head. I have photos that I can send for better explanation. What am I doing wrong? Dan I
Hi Dan, Mine is not a folder, so not sure I can really help. My first suggestion is to double-check the instructions and make sure you have the right size bolt for the location. If you want to post some pics on a public site and then post a link here, maybe someone can help. Plz don't post any zip files or the like. I won't open them due to all of the viruses that get delivered that way.
Thanks for the vid. (LIKED) Going to pick one up in the next few weeks. Mainly to pick up bulk mulch, compost, etc. 80psi? probably runs like a doughnut spare. Noted documentation stated 45mph. I have to travel 20 miles on an interstate, speed limit 65mph. I could do 55 in the right lane. Do you know if there are tires, radials as mentioned, that can run at 55-60 mph safely. Thanks again for a very insightful vid. Subscribed.
That 45mph is the standard recommended speed for all utility trailers. Even U-Haul trailers have it posted on their fenders, in reverse so you can read it in the rear-view mirror. If you're driving a long distance with a heavy load, perhaps a good idea. Otherwise, just drive like normal and check the hubs occasionally to avoid overheating.
