1. Your 4 star car and other 4 star car is not same in real-world. This is because test is emulated with car of same weight. Eg : You cannot say Triber is as safe as Thar (Both of them has 4 stars) & vice versa. 2. 64kmph does makes sense to an extent. Because you do panic breaking before your crash in most of the cases. (May not apply for head on collision) 3. The Chassis shown in this video (India vs International) is Kia Seltos. 5 star in Australian NCAP and marginal 3 star in GNCAP. 8.03 is Indian Seltos score where 8 being cutoff for 3 star. Ideally you can call it 2 star too. 4. Car vs SUV. Look at Scorpio's GNCAP video. See how passenger cabin crumbles. 5. No. of Airbag may help for better star (especially for stable shell cars). Adult protection can go high. 6. You cannot never judge a vehicles safety from post accident scene in first place. Also, most of the cases, vehicle might be destructed further by rescue team to save fellow passengers. Also if that was this easy, crashworthiness (CAE/FEA) engineers wont exist here. 7. Bumpers are designed to absorb crash. You can rejoice if they crumple in a crash assuming crash forces has been successfully stopped. They are also designed no to harm pedestrians in a crash scene. 8. No 5 star car can save you from all mischaps. 9. Structure/Design/Engineering involed is a part of passive safety. Active safety tech such ESP, HHC, TC etc also makes much difference. Prevention is better than cure. Keep revvin

Some auto industry stalwarts claim an unsafe car is safer than a two wheeler and that in a poor country (albeit with some of the richest individuals in the world), we should not look at these things in isolation. Affordable 'unsafe' cars are safer than two wheelers. Would love to hear views on this. Shouldn't the power output of a vehicle also be considered while assessing it's over all safety? Some cars struggle to get through Ghat sections with the prescribed maximum number of passengers and luggage. Even overtaking manoeuvres take a lot of planning in such cars.

It would have been great if you guys had talked about the new Indian consumer craving fav/fab feature - "Panaromic Sunroof" and "Sunroof" in general (thengu sunroof nae chadikilla :)) . I think our people India, never really understood the original use of sunroof in first place while it has been in the Europe/North American market for a long time. It is the same company/(companies) that set these features as a benchmark in India with a huge compromise on safety and it is sad to see our people have prioritised wireless charging, b**e speakers and air-purifiers over driving/performance/handling etc., after all these cars are meant to drive us around and we're starting to forget that. The main advantage that suzuki sees for their cars in India is...reduce structural members to reduce weight.... It provides them liberty to attain more mileage, find smaller brake pads, less suspension effectivity, less engine capacity ...so its internally helping them to gain a major cost advantage.... Etios was one car which people literally hated..but was surprised at seeing majority of their car and how far their engineering was good ..... Same is case with Altroz with 900kg and getting 5star is just phenomenal..... When talking about Suv's this is where the moose test helps to see how they perform in lane change.... Ecosport is one car which managed to be succesful in this test inspite of high CG....but Nissan kicks which had low CG faired poorly in this....so in this case it is evident why vhicle dynamics is also important for safety as well
