Nice and succinct, thank you. Am I right in thinking that SAP Companion for Desktop only really makes sense in supporting SAP ECC, and SAP Companion should be used for browser products like SAP Concur? Or can SAP Companion for Desktop also support SAP Concur and conversely can SAP Companion also support SAP ECC?
SAP Companion is designed for browser-based products - specifically SAP products running a UI5/Fiori interface, such as S/4, Concur, Ariba, and SuccessFactors. Technically it _could_ be used for other (non-Fiori, possibly 3rd party) products, but that requires some heavy technical 'intervention' (so, not 'out of the box'). SAP Companion for Desktop (fka Desktop Assistant) can be used with any Windows application - basically anything with a .exe behind it. This includes chrome.exe and msedge.exe - so technically, yes, you could use SC4D with Concur. I've seen some clients do this just for consistency (all help via the same mechanism) but in recent releases, SC and SC4D have the same 'look and feel' and switching between them as you change application is 'seamless' so that's now a less compelling argument. And in the 2311 release of SEN, I think the two will be almost indistinguishable. SAP Companion CANNOT support ECC, though - although you can launch ECC6 transactions via a Fiori tile in Launchpad and use SAP Companion in some cases.
Outside of SAP, the context help doesn't quite work for me yet. In Windows Explorer, for example, the context help is always based on the title of the window, i.e. the title of the currently open folder. However, I would like to display the help everywhere in Explorer, regardless of the folder. How can I achieve this? I have tried a few changes to the page attributes so far, but without success. I also have the same problem with Word files. Here too, help is only displayed if the Word document has exactly the same title as in the recording. Would be super grateful for any help.
