@@aaricbro. So they are like Special Effects, but in video games?

@@ryanhernandez1877, have you noticed how only the models and stages load, meanwhile the effects in the background/attacks don’t? For example Roy doesn’t have any of the fire on his sword or the stage after the attack has been landed, the background doesn’t change, and the FE bar showing the critical hit doesn’t show, and the sword doesn’t do its effect before the attack of it looking like an echo... these are all effects/graphics that are used for Roy’s Final Smash however they are not present due to the glitch... does this help you? Edit: in case you’re still wondering why things like Mario’s fire completely gone, it’s not a physical model the game loads, just like the fire on Roy’s sword, fire itself is an effect so that’s why Mario’s fireball or Charizard’s flame tail don’t show, this includes Sephiroth’s Shadow Flare, it’s not a physical model and is just an effect of purple fire, and as the original commenter stated, the game is so focused on trying to load the purple fire effect on Sephiroth’s Shadow Flare it’s cancelling any other effect that tries to load in

Actually, if you look, you'll see that Sephiroth has spirits, and the Pokemon take normal damage.

It creates a false impression of the effect of the glitch, that it is truly a gameplay breaking glitch that negates nearly all of the damage in addition to some of the visual effects. Unless that was intentional, to subtly help sell the "absolutely breaking" notion...

@@BainesMkII It can be breaking it, because some, like Samus's or Terry's, you can't see the activation hitbox, so it you're not experienced, or don't know about the glitch, you can get whacked by a Final Smash you never saw coming.

@@BainesMkII I think it’s to prevent Sephiroth from dying from one of the final smashes. Seeing as how his side B was needed to activate the glitch in the first place, and we can see the effects of it in the middle right corner on the hill. Maybe him dying will make his Side B’s effect disappear with him.
