So fascinating to me to see how many cultures this is a part of and it always signifies joy. I had no idea that our Native American tribes do this as well as the Arabs.
@@jvampyre1744Men don’t ululate in Arab countries, it’s a false stereotype typically seen in family guy. I’m not Arab but Berber and our men don’t ululate but the women do for celebration
SoutheastasiaOceania 1. i’m southern african, people from Zambia down to South Africa ululate, its a very common fact and i see it at home celebrations. 2. i have seen in documentaries and films that people from the Arab region also ululate, search ululate on youtube and the first few videos that come up are of east and southern africans along with people from the Middle Eastern region. you came on the internet to fight for no reason lol, i don’t know why you’re angry, at least search and educate yourself on cultures before you make bold statements, you’re only embarrassing yourself
Holy smokes woman...I can watch you all day...I dont have all day...but I can do it.....youz too funnny.....kick ass humor....pretty too...aaaaayyyyyyyeeeee
OMG LEGIT MY UNCLE taught me how to dance in the living room like that. This brought joy to me sis thank y'all!! RIP MR.George Floyd🙏😢 all those who suffer in silence we hear you, we pray for you, we march with you God's love & light in this world now...Aho DAWKEY🌠
It’s an absolutely beautiful sound the most amazing vocalization the human being can utter in my humble opinion i’m having a bit of difficulty though, because I lost my two front teeth and it’s a little bit harder to do it now but I had a Shoshone tell me that I did it like a razz girl and I’m white
💙 For What it's worth , I know some Spanish, I am half Italian/Sicilian.. but on my mom's side is a bit of Sioux Indian .. though a small part , I am proud of that.. I can lele fine but i cant roll my R's when speaking Spanish.🙄😁
This is a great video! I always come back when I want something to smile about.😄 I shocked my folks when they first discovered that I could lulu. My auntie and cousins were floored and lost their minds. Heck, I surprised myself because I never practiced before, let alone even knew I had that gift. Mom says that I should always practice and never lose my ability to lulu. She even said at some point that I should enter in a lulu contest the next time we go to another powwow. It's even funnier because I am half-white. I guess that's my indian spirit coming out. 🤣
Lol, too funny. Hey you could do a home course study, but wait if you order now we will include a recipe for Indian frybread. If not fluent in LELELE in 30 days feel free to return for a full refund but keep the recipe as a gift just for trying.
I am very interested in Native American culture and think it would be fun to learn how to trill like a Native American, but I am an Australian without a drop of Native American blood to speak of so I'm not sure it would be appropriate for me to learn it.
Us english/white people call it "ululating", but upon doing some research, ive found it called different things in different countries. As someone who wants to learn, im asking ANYONE that comes from a country, or culture, that ululates... Reply to my comment letting me know what YOU call it where youre from :)
Maybe this is silly or clueless to ask, but does anyone know if it's okay for non-native people to do this? As a white woman this looks cool but I don't want to culturally appropriate or disrespectfully / inappropriately use someone else's expression
