How Sheryn Regis Found Out She Has Thyroid Cancer and Why She Decided To Come Out | Toni Talks 

I just want to share my first encounter with Miss Sheryn Regis po. Sobrang bata ko pa non 5-8 years old ata ako non isa ako sa sumisilip sa tent nya, pinapasok nya ko sa loob hinug nya ko and kiniss nya ko kasi naalala nya daw yung anak nya. Umuwi ako ng house na may kiss mark galing kay Miss Sheryn Regis, sobrang sarap sa feeling yung isa sa pinaka-sikat at best singer sa Pilipinas ang yumakap at humalik sa pisngi ko dahil sa pagka-miss sa anak nya. Sana naalala nya ko, thank you so much po isa sa pinaka-memorable day ko po yon sa buong buhay ko.

Proud Cebuana here and I've witnessed Ms. Sheryn flourished ever since she was an amateur. And it's true, we, Bisaya, we're always a subject of bullying and I don't understand why. Bisayas are amazing and warm people! and very approachable. When I often go visit manila, they stare at me when I speak in English but also stare at me when I speak in Bisaya, worse, criticize the way I speak Tagalog. Sometime, Filipinos can be so toxic.

Grabe ka Toni ang galing mo talaga..."alam ko na, napagod ka kasi nasa showbiz ka pero na feel mo na di ka belong sa showbiz"..."di ka napagod sa trabaho, napagod emotionally at mentally"....."ang professional niya ano pwede mo naman e playback yung boses mo"

When we thought na singers are just singers pero behind those performances backstage they are also struggling a lot. That's why a lot of actors are getting depressed or anxiety bec of how people treated them. We fans or netizens forgot that they are humans too. She's very strong and thank you Toni for having ms sheryn on your show. She's a legend.

Seems like Sheryn Regis is a strong individual with so much to live for in her own life. Her experience with cancer helps to inspire people to never give up and continue moving forward for the better.

When I was on my 4th and final year in college (Cebu Normal University), we did our thesis involving products of our school that became famous and popular individuals so we invited Miss Sheryn to be one of our participants/respondents (early 2016). We sent her an email and we didn't expect much of a response from her knowing she was very busy that time. She politely replied to our email. It made us sad however, upon watching this interview, now I know and understand why she had to turn down our invitation. I can still vividly remember my mentor (cnu chorale) remembering Miss Sheryn joining our school's beauty pageants and how she was a pride and honor of our school. Maka proud kaayo! Padayon, Miss Sheryn! ❤️

Sometimes God is giving us trials because we are not listening to what He wanted us to be.When we are in troubles we should stop in what we are doing and start listening to God and ask God what is your purpose bakit ba tayo nabubuhay and I would say iisa naman talaga ang gusto ni God sa ating lahat huwag sana nating isipin na magkakaiba ang purpose natin sa earth hindi po we have the same purpose on earth and that is to GIVE glory to him.If you think that your decision will not pleases God then forget about it kahit sabihin pa natin na yong decision na yon makakapagpasaya sa atin. Coming out has always been a requirement of our society, yet this isn't a concern. The main problem is when people force things out of your mouth. Sheryn is one of the odds. She took time. She explored her limits that led her in the right direction. It would take time but never ever let anybody push you to come out in your terms and means. This is not your obligation to the public. Just love yourself more than anyone else and let your happiness be defined by your success no matter how small or big it maybe. Ate Toni, you never fail to pinch our hearts but can I request? Please dig and ask questions that is never been asked. In this way, we can see and learn more about life. But still I love you and your craft. Your show is one that made me feel close to the Philippines despite being a slave in a foreign land.
