I'll say this in the beginning of your presentation or video... you're an honest human being that voices your honest opinion about what's going on right now. We are all brothers and sisters of the same mentality of having everlasting peace among ourselves and respect one another. Of course, that is being challenged by old tradionalist that want to maintain the old ways from dying. We're way passed that and we're now more focused on the future. I think some wires got crossed between the script and the B-roll footage, when you were talking about the Supremacy, you showed a Mandator-class dreadnought, not the actual Supremacy, Snoke's ship. Overall good video and thanks for the praise for the brave men and women defending their country
@@ragergamer3111 The Supremacy was a Mega-class Star Dreadnought, not a Mandator, so both ships were considered Dreadnoughts, it's just the host wasn't showing the same ship he was talking about

As someone who cares about whats happening in Ukraine a stupid amount for someone who is in the us, I appreciate you bringing up their stories and urging others to help and I know every single person in Ukraine, and every Ukrainian who had to flee appreciates your message way more than words can say

(I am also very pleased to note that, I heard this morning that the Snake Island 13 who we thought had perished were, unfortunately, taken prisoner but are actually alive. I'm not 100% certain that is the case but the commenter was Ukrainian so I maintain hope that at least they're alive. Still fecking legends - but living legends!) ;)
Keep in mind we're going to hear lots of false narratives in regards to this conflict, mostly by Russians in the interest of further confusing the platforms they've already been using to confuse all of us for years now. We need to keep that in mind and continue to support the Ukrainians in this fight in whatever way we can.

@@GenerationTech This is one of the issues with jumping to early into things. All sides are trying to spin things one way or another. When if comes to war (especially one where the our media is spinning as hard as they are, do not for one second think they care about the Ukraine or the truth and they have a lot to gain from sparking war, rating go up when that happens after all), you gotta try to keep out bias when you research what is going. For example while I personally I have no doubt that Russia is the aggressior here when looking over the facts I can't let that color the way I read the data since there is always the chance that the Ukraine isn't as innocent in this as we are being made to think. Once again, since people tend to react to things emotionally rather then logically, I need to point out that I don't think this is what happening but I also have to understand I don't have all the facts and how I feel about something doesn't mean that is what is actually happening. You need to be open to the fact that you might be wrong and deal with it logically and accept it and move on if that turns out to be the case. Also, while Putian is an egotistically asshat, this whole idea that he's trying to start WWIII is so much hyperbolic bullshit. It's really a case of, "It's easy to see how shitty something is when someone that's not you is doing it." What he is doing in the Ukraine is almost beat for beat the same politically and morally as when we invaded and annex Iraq. Russia wants the Ukraine for it's warm water ports and secondly for it's resources (and also propaganda reason but that part is obvious) to better project power in the area. The US invaded Iraq as a staggering ground to enforce power in the reign and as a base to launch a invasion into Iran. It wasn't do to Iraq hosting terrorists, Al Qaeda hated Iraq for being secular, it wasn't because of weapons of mass destruction (in fact the whole yellow cake sales story turned out to be 100% fabricated yet strangely no one in the Bush administration got into trouble... funny that), and of course if they lied about the first two stories they of course lied about regime change (also notice how the kept moving from excuses to excuse like that current lie was the only story they told and your were a traitor and a OooOOOOooooo coNSpiRAcY thEOrisT). We invaded them to project power. What Russia is doing is the same. Doesn't mean it makes it better and it sure as hell doesn't mean you should stop protesting it (No go all out, protest the shit out of this) but it's important to put aside the low effort emotional response and look at things for what they are rather then what we're being propagandized into believing because use over reacting *_could_* end up truing this situation into a much more dangerous one. Just something to think about. I want you to keep doing what is right, just make sure it *IS* what's right, not what you just *THINK* is right, especially when the real world consequences are as dire as it can turn out to be.

I admire that you bring light to this situation by making more people aware about what’s going on if they didn’t already know. And I’d like to say that when he said “we would all perish if NATO joined the conflict” (I’m paraphrasing here) that is not necessarily true. The world powers including Russia realize that nuclear weapons can cause the end of the world, and that means that these leaders themselves would also perish. There are also defense mechanisms in play to help stop nuclear threats, so for those of you stressed out over these things being said I can assure you they are empty threats made by Putin to try and scare Ukraine and the West into giving him what he demands. We will stay strong through this together, and long live Ukraine!

Putin has made it clear he does not want to harm the people and families that are on both sides of this....but the corrupt government has to go. He hates leftist, socialist and liberals as much as any freedom loving, constitutional, morally based, God fearing American does. We all feel for the innocent caught in the middle...but he has made it very clear that the corrupt evil ones in power need to go. And the people can either help or get out of the way...but he is going to remove the corrupt leaders. Alan my family has been a fan of your site for a long time now.The videos are informative as well as highly entertaining, But this particular one was simply just incredible! My daughters bicker constantly but they are united by the love of STAR WARS and eagerly watch each and every video turning it into a family discussion! As for your plea to help the people of Ukraine We stand beside you doing all we can to help how ever we can. My youngest daughter put it best " Boys her age here in the US are simply playing Call of Duty The boys her age in Ukraine are Living it ! Dude your efforts on highlighting real world/star wars similarities are the reason why I'm subscribed to your channel. Please try to make a video about attack on titan on Generation Ochi. The world needs to have a glimpse into the not so far future that we might be heading and Attack on Titan shows that perfectly.
Battleships are a different designation from Battlecruisers for some reason. In Disney canon a Battleship is a Starhawk or Lucrehulk, while examples you mentioned are Battlecruisers.
I live in the U.S. You are the only other adult besides my parents who has talked about what is happening in Ukraine. Thank you Alan for spreading the word about what is going on there. Most adults seem to not care or understand how impactful this conflict will be. I also am looking forward to when my kid or grandkid is learning about this conflict at school and I can tell them it started on the morning of my 16th birthday. I am also totally, absolutely, and completely not excited to be old enough to get drafted in 2 years.

Well, Anaxes war collage is really inconsistent. Sometimes describes class form it's size, sometimes function in fleet. IRL Frigates and Corvettes (and even regular destroyers) have similar function of being all of ship - screen, patrol, carrying offensive missiles, coastal defence etc, depends on naval doctrine. Cruisers were traditionally a ship of the line with long operational range and higher speed but for that it have to keep lighter protection and arnment. There were many examples, esspecially between XIX and XX century, when cruisers were even bigger than battleships (longer but thinner means faster at sea). Dreadgnouths were evolution of battleships, with specific unified artillery, there is whole history about how they appear, but all modern battleships are kind of fast Dreadgnouths - fusion of battleships and battlecruisers. And The Last one - battlecruisers were cruisers to hunt other cruisers (battleship size guns on cruiser hull). This whole ideas were scrapped after creating relatively cheap, easy to deploy rocet munitions, because any bigger target in case of war is just munitions magnet, that's why we see mainly smaller ships suited to be stealth or carriers to project power (and their cruisers and long range destroyers as screen force). Considering functions of ships in SW, whole star destroyers are mainly carrier-cruiser hybrid (and yes, old and new republic does it better) and super star destroyers/battlecruisers are pure compensation of palps complexes about size. I would defend supremacy however, as a mobile base of operation, command unit and shipyard.
Please keep highlighting Ukraine, they are showing an incredible amount of bravery and strength. Keep it up, I may come for the Star Wars content, but it's good to highlight a real world group of Rebels fighting an evil Empire, both in Ukraine and Russia against Putin

Maybe or maybe not either way I enjoy corvettes and frigates, Which is exactly why i joined the empire and stole a star destroyer full of smuggled B1s and then I destroyed a rebel fleet, crazy right? It's ok. This fits. Your videos often liken Star Wars statistics to real world workings of economics, politics, and war. You have a habit of giving real world lessons through the lens of Star Wars, and you do it a clear way. I've learned more about this from watching your channel than I did from high school or college, because wrapping it up in something I enjoy made me pay attention. And as a result, it's made me a more conscious writer when it comes to working out similar details in my own story so they make sense. This was a perfect start, and more of us should do the same. Don't apologize for this. Humanity First.
I understand the Anaxes War College creating its own categories, but it makes for more than a little translation difficulty between their system and our own. The confusion over dreadnaughts is a perfect example. Historically, 'Dreadnaught' was a class of ship for only a short time, because people started calling them "modern battleships" (and then just "battleships") when other countries tried out their own versions of the innovations in ship design, fire control, and armor layouts that HMS Dreadnaught pioneered. It's a fascinating tipping point in naval design, though it makes for an awful lot of twitching among historians to hear about how relatively small and modestly armed a *Dreadnaught* class *heavy cruiser* is compared to a Star *Destroyer.*
