im treating a room right now and have less than half the panels needed. ive read quite a lot about treating with moving blankets. these things are cheap so I was going to cover the entire room with moving blankets first, then hang panels in front of it. my concern is is this TOO much treatment? I know a lot of people say you should leave some reflective surfaces but im confused, I thought thats kind of the purpose, to eliminate all reflections. I still have my floor. thanks
Does anyone know if I buy the 2 inch thick single square foot acoustic panels on Amazon, will putting those along my livingroom wall (the other side of this VERY thin wall is the main hallway for 7 other apartments) will help block out the sound from out apartment building main hallway on the otherside? I'm well aware that it wouldn't block it out completely no matter what, because it'd be the wrong side of the wall...... But can anyone tell me if it would at least help? Seriously can't even watch a TV show or movie in our livingroom without having to listen to full phone conversations (word for word) and/or couples fighting that probably should have broken up/divorced years ago🙄
I think with your 50cm stands a 120cm monster bass trap panel would allow me to be at the same level seated or standing as I'm 180cm tall. Does that sound good?
Having alternating design ensures the panels are directly across from any bare walls of which reflections are created. This should ensure there are no direct paths for the sound to travel from wall to wall.
