How was Shimo the most Powerful Titan being controlled by Skar King in Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire? While Godzilla and Kong were clearly more powerful than Skar King, it's unlikely that Shimo could have defeated the villain in a fair fight due to her circumstances. Despite being stronger than Skar King, Shimo was forced to obey the Great Ape because of a mysterious blue crystal in Skar King's possession. This crystal was linked to Shimo and allowed Skar King to control her. Whenever Skar King manipulated the crystal, Shimo experienced intense pain and was forced to obey. Kong realized the significance of the crystal during the course of their battles, and when he destroyed it with the axe, Shimo responded by attacking Skar King with her frost bite blast. This confirmed that Skar King was indeed controlling her actions with the crystal. This reveals that despite Shimo's past actions, she is actually a tragic figure in the Monsterverse, as Skar King deprived her of her free will, and suggests that she was never truly a villain.

She's probably the most "tragic" of the kaiju. One of the oldest and most powerful kaiju, the one who most likely froze Ghidorah in the ice, made into nothing more than an attack dog by a twisted and oversized version of Lanky Kong with a whip

The fight scenes were very long in this entire movie was basically just action, and then a few emotional scenes and some snippets of humor but the fight were long enough and asking for them to be longer makes you sound like a child who only begs for action in a movie that is already filled with it, and does not need more. I understand saying that there needs to be more action in a movie that lacks it, but this one is full of it.

Not necessarily, I didn’t bother looking at numbers and such but you can’t take the length of the entire monster head to tail and compare it to a monster head to foot that also has a tail. Not saying if she was in the same posture that she wouldn’t be taller, just not as dramatic as you described.

Shemo certainly didn't feel like the most powerful Titan whatsoever. Godzilla didn't kill her because he knew she was under control. He also seemingly compelled her to kill the Scar King in the end. She needed to have been a bigger threat..... at no point did I ever think Godzilla and Kong were in trouble. Godzilla was powering up to fight off an entire army... not really just the 2 main villains.

Actually, the one who destroyed the Crystal was Suko, the little red ape who befriends Kong with Kong's axe. Also, Shimo sounds in pain every time Scar King controlled her with the crystal but once the crystal is destroyed, she sounds relax and not in pain anymore.

My theory is that Shimo is not as aggresive as other Titans so Scar prolly was able to approach enough to betray her for that crystal (If it's indeed part of her) She acts like a puppy toward kingkong in the end. I wish Skar King had the ability for subtle influence/mind control over less dominant/alpha titans rather than having a controlling crystal. Kong and Godzilla have dominant personalities, while Shimo seemed pretty chill to be honest.

As a 32 year old man who enjoyed the old Godzilla movies from the 90s, My wife’s and I love the Godzilla movies we’ve watched them all and we watched the monarch Tv show also but After watching the movie I can say That Scar king is a fraud he nothing without Shimo in there first fight once king got the upper hand Scar king was like let me call Shimo real quick, Scar king used that crystal more than anything the whole movie lol he’s such a bum lol. I mean you see how fast King and Godzilla kicked his ass on we he lost his crystal and whip and when Godzilla caught scar kings whip in his mouth, Scar king was like oh crap and shit his pants lol. Definitely a amazing movie and the best in the Monsterverse so far it was so satisfying to see Godzilla and Kong beat the crap out of scar king then Shimo joining in was so good!! Plus I loved the return of the queen of the monsters Mothra and it was awesome how quick the Big G listened to his symbiotic partner and help Kong out.

Fun fact: Shimo didn't attack Skar King immediately after being freed from the crystal control. The King of the monsters Godzilla himself gave that order. Godzilla roared his dominance towards Shimo and she followed true command orders.

They’ve done a solid job with introducing new kaiju despite no involvement from Toho (that we know of?). The thing that sets the new monsters apart though is how relatively straightforward their designs are. Japanese kaiju always have an element of the absurd or exotic which makes their monsters unique. I’d like to see the American studio flex their creativity a bit more next time around.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd myself that Shimmo Titan, who most likely had helped Godzilla defeat King gidora and so it seemed weird for her to just switch sides and go against Godzilla so I’m glad we have an explanation

Part of me hates that people think skar king is a weak ape without the Crystal, my guy he gave a kong with a axe a run for his money, so it’s best to assume that they’re technically the same strength right? Only difference between skar king and kong is that skar king is ruthless and arrogant underestimating kong in the first battle, and kong is kindhearted and also stronger, But don’t get me wrong.. it’s not like they didn’t say that Godzilla didn’t take him and all the kongs down himself, Which is impressive

Based on my observation. It seems that the crystal used by the scar king is one of the shards on shimo's back just like kong's axe that's literally look like godzilla's fin or whatever you called that.

Additionally, the axe glows like godzilla's fin like it does have a radiation. Highly recommend to watch again Godzilla vs Kong.

I think skar King needed help but he was a ferocious ruthless fighter he was not dumb at all he just got caught up real badly left himself open in the fight too many times yea Skar King depending on the way too much and not his natural ability to fight Kong maybe he through King Kong saw through all his tricks
