@Zoso55 Godzilla doesn't really have ice related powers while Scylla is too small to even be able to freeze such a titan of huge size... so I still stick with Shimo.
Yes indeed even I thought the same cause even a injured gidhorah is not weak enough to get froze by natural means . It has to be shimu blud literally started the ice age freezing a titan would be piece of cake
@@bennyjames558ok so... shimo bigger but no wayyy bigger than ghidirah that ghidorah lefts monsterverse he was just unaware of shimo thats why he got frozen.. are litrelly kidding
yeah ikr i dont think it would be able to do so since it would need to put its centre of mass nearer to its tail which isnt possible but cannot deny that its huge like really huge
My grandpa got me into Godzilla and he never got to see the monster verse. Tried to show him but the dementia had got to him by that point. I miss him and watching Godzilla just reminds me of him.
That’s very sad 😔. My grandpa also got me into it because he bought me 2014 when I was 3 when the movie came out. It’s actually cool that the both of us were born 3 or 4 years before the original movies came out with him being born before the original 1954 while me before 2014
1:33 Seeing Rudy the Albino Baryonyx in a Goji Centre video made me so happy and I hope he gets a video all to himself. Like can Rudy survive Skull Island or What if Rudy was in Jurassic World?
@@randomguy9988yeah he’s smart enough to hold a grudge against anything it has history with…Like Buck for example. I’d also like to think that he is smart enough to kill for fun because remember what Buck said “He’s relentless, he knows all, eats all” That line might imply that he does kill for pleasure and causes imbalance to nature in the Underground world.
Knowing Shimo’s ability to freeze things and influence the climate, perhaps she caused the ice age for a reason. If the ice age we’re talking about is the younger dryas that occurred 12,800-11,600 years ago, then maybe shimo caused the ice age while fighting king ghidorah when he first arrived on earth. The fight was so intense that shimo had no choice but to freeze ghidorah in ice in Antarctica and the aftermath left the world barren and cold.
Rodan and Shimo are opposites. Rodan is a smaller kaiju, but is the fastest MV kaiju and the hottest, while Shimo is one of the largest kaiju (I don’t know her speed but it would definitely way slower than Rodan) and is the coldest kaiju. Rodan is my favourite, Shimo is up there..
Fun fact: the term 'Thagomizer' was made by a cartoonist. The spiked tails that we see on creatures such as the Stegosaurus didn't have a scientific name for a long time. In 1982 Gary Larson made a Far Side comic panel where cave men were watching a presentation where the head caveman said the term was named after "the late Thag Simmons." This was just one of the many jokes that the Far Side comics did, making reference to something and comparing to a funny concept. Because there was no other media had had a term for this part of the tale paleontologists started using Thagomizer until the name eventually stuck in 1993.
I remember reading that! As a kid I remember the comic. Gary Larson made a joke…..and it was so good it was made official! Fitting since he made so many Dino comics. It was a great way for the paleontologists to give him a massive nod for making them laugh thru his work!
Here’s an idea for a future video after the new movie comes out. How would Godzilla in his 2014 form do against Ghidorah, Scyla, Tiamat, Kong, Mechagodzilla, Skar King, and Shimo? The reverse would be Godzilla fights all his past foes(Muto, Muto Prime, Ion Drgagon, Ghidorah, Scyla, Tiamat, Kong, Mechagodzilla) but in his evolved form. Basically, Godzilla has to play on hard mode and then easy mode. How different do the fights play out? Either of these could also serve as their own separate video as well.
that would be very interesting and cool good idea. also after the movie he should discuss scylla new crab like form a fesphera mothers companion aswell as mothra new form.
I can answer that easily without writing an essay 2014 Godzilla get’s SMACKED AROUND by almost everyone you named and get’s one shot by Ghidroah and Shimo💀
I like to think Shimo is the MonsterVerse version of the Rhedosaurus. She's the first Titan like the Rhedosaurus was what inspired Godzilla and kaiju in general. Also the Rhedosaurus is also frozen at the beginning of its film
@@KingOfTheMonsters07 True. Another contender would be SpaceGodzilla. Ngl, after we had Mechagodzilla, another evil Godzilla would be overdone, but with the crystals and the quadrupedal stance, Shimo also reminds me of SpaceGodzilla concept arts
@@spyrex9986 Honestly because of the white color scheme along the crystal-like protrusions on the body, mostly on the back, sort of reminds me of Krystalak from Godzilla Unleashed except that he's not an ice monster.
Aside from Godzilla's new look, I think I am looking forward to seeing Shimo in action. For a creature called the First Titan, that just screams power.
Shimo in the marketing, hype up, fan base theorizing, etc during the lead up to the movie: ONE OF THE OLDEST TITANS SAID TO HAVE FROZEN THE ICE AGE, A HORRIBLE APEX PREDATOR WITH NO REMORSE. Shimo at the end of the movie: Am dog, okay?
How about a Video that simulates how Shimo would kill every Villainous Titan? I'm talking about the MUTOs, Ramerak, Ghidorah, Amhuluk, Tiamat, Mecha Godzilla, Camazotz, Ion Dragon, etc. It's should be called: Titan Shimo Executes Every Monsterverse Villain!
Shimo can't kill Ghidorah or Shino Mura. Ghidorah's healing, intelligence, and flight make it impossible for a Titan like Shimo to kill him. The best she could do is freeze him, however Ghidorah can drain Shimo of her power and take it as Ghidorah's own. Shino Mura is micro colony of microorganisms capable of rapid regeneration and self duplication.
@@BlankEmporium Shinomura Cells are vulnerabile tò temperatures, like Extreme heat, and i dont see why Extreme Cold that cause nerves and Cell necrosis would not work on Shinomura and for Ghidorah, Shimo Is way more dense and robust of Godzilla, which means that her blows are way more deadly than the ones of Godzilla, second: Ghidorah healing factor is good but Is not that powerful, he still need energy tò make It fast. And if She grab Ghidorah, she can bite him all the times she want or even Frozen him. In fact there are theories that says that Was Shimo the One that Frozen Ghidorah
@@BlankEmporium Um, did you miss the fact that when on her hindlegs, Shimo dwarfs Ghidorah and can chomp all three of her heads off. plus Ghidorah's made it clear from his prison that him and cold don't mix.
@@miriamemanueleforneris3701 Shino Mura is never stated to be weak to cold, only heat. And even so a single Shino Mura cell can regenerate the entire colony, if given time. Not to mention Shino Mura never stops growing, and I quote, "Could grow to blot out the sky," if left unchecked. You really don't wanna make the "Shimo froze Ghidorah" argument as that means BOTH Godzilla and Shimo fought Ghidorah, and all they could do was freeze him in place. And don't low-ball Ghidorah. He's an alien, and therefore doesn't follow the rules of our world. And the size difference isn't even that big. Gojicenter scales Ghidorah's size by assuming 521 Ft is his total height. It isn't. 521 ft is up to Ghidorah's chest, taking into account the necks Ghidorah is closer to 821 ft. His necks are almost as long as Godzilla is tall. Sure, Shimo will likely be physically stronger. Doesn't change the fact Ghidorah is smarter and has telepathy to control her mind. In fact, if the rumors are true that Shimo is mind controlled by Skar King, than Ghidorah do that as well. Ghidorah used his telepathy to mind control the other Titans, and if Shimo can be mind controlled by Skar King, than no reason Ghidorah couldn't either. Even without the telepathy, Ghidorah still heals too fast. The point of Ghidorah needing energy only appears in the novelization. As far as the film goes, Ghidorah's healing abilities require no energy and are always active. He even regenerates in the final battle, and if you look closely at Ghidorah's death scene, he's visibly regenerating from his wounds as Godzilla vaporizes him.
Hey quick theory, ever consider that another of Shimo's species was that collosal gojia skull that Kong pulled his axe from in GVK. Caught my mind while wtaching this, it may make for an intresting piece of law and if not, how do you think Shimo would fare against that mega gojira in a fight (Great video by the way).
Prehaps the skull was from Shimo's mate. Skar King may have originally attempted to capture both of them but the effort was too great so they ended up killing one to capture the other.
Or both shimu and the gijora end up in a death battle where shimu won but was too injured and weak which explain how scar king got his hand on him@@steve94183
Fun fact: 6:53 to the right you can see scar king with his whip watching as shimo gets closer. Thanks for all the likes guys. Also guys a quiz how many times does the trailer mention Godzilla or Kong?
ever since I watched Godzilla x Kong The New Empire the fight I've always wanted to see is Shimo vs Ghidorah a battle between 2 of the largest titans in the Monsterverse
I think you just confirmed that Shimo is more terrifying then what we were lead on. The action figure lines don't do it justice! It's no wonder Kong had that fear expression. Also there should be a mentioning about Shimo being responsible for dormanted King Ghidorah in an icy prison.
I heard that to like apparently godzilla got a lucky shot off and gidorah fell into all that snow but i still think shimo had somethhing to do wkth that
@@myleswelnetz6700 The only iteration of Godzilla that behaves more like an animal not an morally bound or equilibrium restoring entity. Therefor and henceforth etc visavi an Godzilla which has many faces and forms.

Hi everyone and Goji Center, thanks for your work, I really appreciate your videos and please keep making them^^ I'm writing this because I'm really surprised that nobody or no real youtuber talks about the very role of Shimo within the MonsterVerse. So yeah, she might be under Skar King's control (and I like this theory), she might also be the one who started an Ice Age long ago and she might also be the one who froze Ghidorah over when he came on earth for the very first time. Yet, I still have many questions regarding her lore, and no one didn't really talk about it. I mean, was she maybe the former queen of the monsters before Godzilla (event though he's been around for millions of years. Is she like one of Godzilla's exes (that would be funny). I just hope that GXK will answer all these questions, because I think that Legendary cannot clearly introduce a powerful monster like this, and it's only Skar King who gets the lorewise treatment in the end. For instance, I really like the idea that Shimo was indeed the former queen of the monsters, so she made a temporary alliance with Skar King in order to defeat godzilla and claim back her throne. Anyways, I'm truly excited for this new movie and I hope Shimo will get the treatment and the lore she deserves, as the Almother of the Kaijus. What do you guys think and thank you again Goji Center for your formidable work !
I didn't play warzone much, but I hopped on just for that event. And throughout all the speculation of what the cave painting meant, I knew it would be big. And was hoping it would be "main" antagonist.
@@KaijuBiologist Dude no. Shimo is practically Godzilla's great grandmother and Doug isn't a child. It's just a lizard Kaiju that lives in Hollow Earth. In the end, the Kaijus will probably just part ways like in every movie, except maybe for Kong and Suko. Also I highly doubt they are going to make a cringe TV series of Godzilla and Shimo living happily and raising a little lizard named Doug.
I believe Shimo is actually some sort of antarctic and/or albino subspecies of Godzilla, hence his white scales and icy crystal spines, he is POSSIBLY older than Godzilla, probably between the age of Dagon and the age of Godzilla himself.
Why are you still calling Shimo a he? It's a female. Also if Shimo is supposed to be the first Kaiju, the mother of all Titans, then that makes her older than Godzilla, Dagon, Methuselah, and maybe even Mothra.
@@Kyshowazaa His name is spelled *Methuselah.* And we can't say Shimo is older than Ghidorah because he wasn''t born on Earth. Since he's an alien, he could be way older than any titan on Earth for all we know.
Question can the large skull where Kong found his axe in GvK may possibly be related to Shimu? Maybe a male ? That's how skarking got the shiny tip on his whip? Just a thought.
How in the world can G man handle something 3 times his size in a close quarter combat, unless this evolved form of his increases its physical strength exponentially relative to his size. Can’t wait to see them in battle! Great work Goji Center as usual.
Godzilla would only win against Shimo because of plot armor and possibly his upgrades. Or some weird complicated factors that allows Godzilla to gain the upper hand (which also has something to do with plot armor)
Hey if you haven't seen the recent trailer , there is a scene in it where Godzilla uses blue nuclear pulse also he was using blue atomic breath I m guessing he now has two atomic breath and has also regained control over his nuclear blast, so yeah these things put the G man straight up against shimo .
What if Shimo can shoot a frost bite blast out of her tail like Shin Godzilla because it’s not shaped like Godzillas thagomizers, they’re more in line with the tail so it could act as an output to another ice ray
Another possibility is that Shimo is the one controlling Skar King. The eye colour match could be representative of some kind of Alpha control (and in myths dragons are known to be able to exert control over humans, either through their eyes or through their treasures. Shimo's design is very reminiscent of wingless western dragons from myth). The whip could just as easily be a symbol of Shimo's authority given to Skar as opposed to a means by which to control her. In the cave painting Shimo is squaring up against a Godzilla alone (who is backed up by humanity) so assuming that this Shimo is the same one as in the painting and she took the L against Godzilla to end the last ice age she would have a reason to not only want revenge against the G man, but also have learned that the assistance of lesser beings can turn the fight between Alpha Kaiju (expecially ones that are apparently capable enough to fasten weapons out of the remains of Godzilla's). Finally the situation of Skar using Shimo to control the rest of his tribe doesn't make sense given Shimo seems to be the real powerhouse. It makes complete sense that Shimo would be using her power to control Skar, trapping the apes in an underground lava cave that only her presence can make tolerable so that she always has a nearby supply of troops/snacks. I also doubt that Skar wants an ice age and Shimo is seen in the trailers trying to start on in Brazil. The only person/kaiju open to that would be Shimo herself. Also her reveal was second to Skar's and what is likely her first scene in the movie is literally the real villain comes out of the darkness trope. I imagine Kong stumbles upon the ape tribe by following Suko into their lair, sees how Skar treats his fellow apes, and being an Alpha Kaiju (as far as he is concerned) fights Skar to establish control. Skar fights Kong and uses the whip, showing us the scenes from the trailer, however Kong is able to either win the 1v1 causing Shimo to emerge or is able to stall the fight long enough that Shimo begins to worry that her appointed monke is going to loose the knife fight and steps in herself to both remind the apes of her power and deal with an emergent threat. It also likely helps that she would recognize likely Kong's axe being the dorsal plate of a Godzilla. Shimo then dominates Kong forcing him to retreat, and Skar does the wounded henchman bit and chases after Kong to regain Shimo's favour with his skull. Godzilla comes in because new Kaiju on the surface, Stomps Skar, then Shimo comes up when she realizes there is a Godzilla on the surface.
I like how the Monsterverse lore is expanding and becoming more interesting. Even after this new movie there is still plenty of potential to continue the franchise. I hope they draw more inspiration from Godzilla’s Toho roots. ❤❤❤
Shimo is so much bigger its crazy, it's another scale. Like the mega kaiju in Pacific rim had to climb up the mountain at the end. But Shimo is a literal mountain
If Shimo and Godzilla have the same similarities, such as the dorsal spikes and range weapons, could that mean Shimo is part of the gojira genius???😮😮😮
I really, really hope Shimo isn’t anywhere near that big in the film. It kinda gets to the point where you start to wonder why she doesn’t bite everyone’s heads off and calls it a day.
Even if he was godzillas size. In lore, he should be like 4x stronger than any other kaiju. I don't see how godzilla stands a chance in this movie. If he does win this fight than the next movies probably gonna be something even more op like destoroyah.
This is why it’s important to wait or that it’s okay to wait if they waited for Godzilla x Kong to form out they would have more info but if make a video everyday
I wonder in future Godzilla x Kong movies - we are going to see Kong getting thought how to use Nunchucks - teaching them on a big screen, and Godzilla being more lethal with his forearm blades. 60's and 70's Godzilla movies has made a return - Kung Fu Style.
My friend had a stupid theory that Godzilla will win against Shimo but will spare her, so that they both could mate and produce much stronger, bigger and intelligent gojira species😂🙏
I have a theory, Since Shimo caused the ice age.Shimo could be the one who froze ghidora in the ice and later went to the hollow earth thus the ice started melting and then humans came along blah blah etc..
12:58 Or it gave him a means of effectively fighting back against her, but it slowly corrupted him until he bent to her will. Destroying this crystal will free him.
Wouldn't surprise me if Shimo is connected or directly the cause of snow ball Earth. Basically a few times in Earths history 710 and 640 million years ago the entire planet was covered in Ice, frozen soid even at the equator. This period lasted millions of years and may be her plan to terraform the earth, killing pretty much everyone.
Kong when he finds Suko: are you lost Suko: I ran away Kong: why Suko: my dad keeps a giant, freezing Rottweiler in the fire-pit. On top of that, he has a huge whip.
@GojiCenter I'm having a wild guess that in the next *MONSTERVERSE* movies to come that *KIRYU* will appear soon enough after *GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE* , since *KIRYU* needs some *"Huge Underground Crystals/Diamonds"* in order for *KIRYU* to use an *ABSOLUTE ZERO CANNON* and *SHIMO* will be *The Key* to its creation!
I saw the movie few days ago. Really loved it. I love this universe of monsterverse. The tv series Monarch is good to know more about the monsterverse.
I stand convinced that Skar King is under Shimo’s possession, instead of the other way around, as you mentioned the first two times you talked about him. Only the movie itself can change my mind.
@@Tyranid_Hive_Mind this is a fictional world not real life unless shimo has literal negative iq it makes literally zero sense that skar king domesticated it, and considering its supposed to be "the first kaiju" its lived for a long ass time and therefore has gained a lot of knowledge and is not stupid and would not allow itself to be subjugated by a fat monkey
Hey goji center fun fact this ability from shimo is simular to the new villain from the ghostbusters lol i guess this is 2024 cold era 😂❤awesome video Goji keep up the great content
I hope when destoroyah is introduced they make a mechagodzilla version 2 where it’s built from dagon and Ghidorah bones, but dagon is mostly controlling it because it’s mostly him . And have abilites like kiryu did
