I enjoyed this! I agree with the analogy about telling real from fake. I am curious, due to all AI technology, it freaks me out a bit to see an occasional comment on my channel that makes me wander if it is a robot😬. Is this something you have experienced?
Algorithms don’t change. By definition, they are a set of very stringent rules. The true variable is humans reactions to content what I liked yesterday may not interest me and gives the appearance of an algorithm change
@iamcoreymcclain interesting. I don't know why I believe that the algorithm is imprefect and controlled, and it doesn't have the same rules for all creators. Two creators can create the same exact video, with the same number of followers and all other things being the same, and one video will have better results than another video, even when all things remain constant.... It's fraud... It's a hit and miss... It's unpredictable.
@iamcoreymcclain Thank you. We agree that it's unpredictable 🙌. So then, how can you study something like that? It was really my initial point and question. It was supposed to be more flawless and fair across the board than humans. It used to be like that, when it did a far better job finding viewers but now... It's not. And I won't blame that on humans but on its controllers and powers that be....
An algorithm is a set of rules. Rules don’t change. The variables are human behavior in response to content quality and substance. Going back to your original statement, you may think two pieces of content are exactly the same but it’s impossible. And even if so, no two people who said content are going to be the same. Each of us has a very unique blend of personality, life experiences, and daily changing interest. I hope this helps.
