"Generosity" is one example of altruistic behaviour which is a critical behaviour underpinning our success as a species. Some other species show altruistic behaviour, including primates and whales, and doesn't seem to be taught in those species. From this perspective, it's hard to see it only as a learned set of behaviours, that can be taught. The Greek philosophers did not have this biological perspective That it's also one of our biologically determined drives strong in humans because it has survival value. As it does in an ant hill. It's not about goodness and virtue. It's about survival of the group.

Sure seems to be one way for many people. Great, good for you But did you know that many core ideas in the Gospel teachings included in the New Testament were included by the Nicean Council because they were known from writings of the Greek or Roman philosophers. This here is about Stoicism, and stoicism is repeatedly referred by Jesus Christ. His teaching "Consider the lilies in the field" is one of many classic examples, Stoicism that Jesus Christ's teachings derived from scholars' writings he was aware of. So if Jesus is the only way, then his way must have been more open-minded than his followers are now.

Yikes. Sounds a little like a fascist, by definition. "The only way" kinds of thoughts should scare everyone. I would say humility and respect for others is the only way.
