thanks dude, i didnt even know Opera was a thing. Literally used Chrome for ages. The thingsyou can dowith this Browser, are freakin amazing and it doesnt kill your CPU while opend.
It's funny that this video is two hours old but already out of date... Current WR is under 54 minutes. Skips paraglider and Lookout Landing, picking up and duping some Fairies to tank fall damage, skips the boss gauntlet, uses Zuggle to nuke Ganondorf with only three flurry rushes total, and kills the Demon Dragon in two cycles (not counting the head) thanks to using the Ruby arrows.
Funny that he constantly mentions “the game’s history”, like it’s been a struggle of years for speedrunners to get seconds off the time. History gets a very different meaning in a video like this. It’s like a summoning salt video, but incredibly premature 😂
I feel like Nintendo, while still allowing you to go directly to the final boss, tried very hard to avoid speedrunners getting sub 1 hour in this game, the game really throw everything at you at the end, even more than in BOTW + all the cutscenes and longer "tutorial".
Honestly, this game might just have my favourite final boss of all time. The whole thing felt like Ganon (whose designs are fucking SICK) taunting you until he was like, “oh, wait, shit” and, well, I don’t want to spoil the final phase. Absolutely incredible.
>New game releases Most players: ‘All right, let’s see what this game has to offer in its entirety.’ Speedrunners: **Huffing a bunch of drugs* ‘Speed. Speed. Speed is all that matters. I’m getting that world record, and no one is going to stop me!’
im glad totk speedrunning is even crazier than botw speedrunning, despite the bugs being patched or impossible without the same sheikah tools. not to mention that its actually difficult as fuuuuck (with all the enemies/bosses in a row) and not just a slog like botw was
After 195 hours I just finally beat the game, now I can watch speedrun videos lol. This was the first one I checked out to see a summary of what's happened.
And we're already at 47 minutes! I did have to laugh when the video came out, knowing it would become outdated incredibly quickly, but it was still fun to watch 😁
4:11 For me (French) " Ascend up " is like to say " to move back, backwards " or " go up upward " or again " To fall in the direction of the bottom ". Because Ascend is allways up. Like to fall is allways down. We never say things like this in French, because there is allways a guy like me that says " you just say 2 time the same thing "
I speak Acadian (although at this point I'd say it's broken as I'm barely conversational) and I would agree, but since it's the name of an ability and therefore a noun instead of a verb I think it's correct to phrase it as I did.
Its amazing how they figured all of this out and so fast. I looked at the end and said how hell are you suppose to do all this with just link coming straight off of the great sky island but i knew speed runners and skilled people would find a way
If Nintendo released an update that removed all helpful glitches but allowed you to skip all cutscenes, the speedruns might still become faster overall.
Ganondorf having the gull to talk shit to Link after hearing the absolute carnage just outside his door is wack. The cutscene skip is canon for speedrunner link because no way even Ganon would have the nuts to open his fat mouth in the face of the absolute madlad
Hey Thankyou Abyssoft. Your Videos are great! Obviously there will be newer strategies, but there won’t be Dope Ass Uploads like this w/o your Knowledge & Production Value. Ty 😏👉 Edit* 9:09 That item duplication glitch *S.H.I.T.* was hilarious.
I find it funny how this isn't even how the run is played anymore. Current world record opts for the faster autobuild cancel route, which saves about two minutes over zuggling and using the steering stick.
Not even a week ago, they were saying this game is "uNbrEAkAblE". And we already have an Abyssoft video. Even the speed community underestimates themselves.
It should be assumed that all spoilers are on the table for a Speedrun, as a general rule if you care about spoilers. Hopefully you and/or others didn't have to find out the hard way; I understand the frustration.
Meh, if you go through the tears of the dragon quest and watch the memory they talk about swallowing the stone, it's pretty predictable what's going to happen. When I watched it I immediatelly thought "Why are they talking about swallowing stones and becoming dragons? How is this relevant? Who started this crazy conversation?" It's like that family guy meme "If you swallow this stone you'd forget everything and become a dragon" - "Who the fcuk starts a conversation like that? I just sat down!"
You almost have to feel bad for the Nintendo devs. Reports are they delayed the game by almost a year just for refinements and bug-stomping, yet the speedrunners are totally breaking the game anyway.
1:03:53 by Orcastraw, just over ten minutes slower than running on 1.0. That depends on a lot of things, a big factor is speed, when the fastest patch gets optimized enough players will move on to other patches or categories. The big push right now is for sub 50 minutes on 1 0, so likely when that happens or the time gets optimized with no new developments you'll see All Dungeons get an influx of runners.
Yes, you are alone in not understanding a fruit salad (a fruit salad is just a medley of fruits - it hasn't got lettuce and stuff) and not knowing that apple and pork together is really good! Admittedly I'd usually do apple with roast or BBQ pork, but there's no reason that wouldn't work in a stew. I hope you get to try/see a _good_ example of this kind of thing at some point. Using coke or pepsi as the basis for a BBQ sauce when slow-cooking meat is pretty common, but not in a stew - it looks like he's gotten confused there. Adding tomatoes is also a bit odd, and soooo much unneeded liquid it's basically a soup
Im not sure if grabbing the wall is really a cancel. The particle effects are animation implies it’s an intended feature. That’s like saying the paraglider is a fall damage cancel, like yeah but it’s supposed to.
Has anyone tried just swinging at Ganondorf in phase 3 instead of waiting for him to attack first? When I did that, he didn't backflip over my flurry rush. Sounds like an easy fifteen or so seconds saved.
Mmmphh...I can see that what speedrunners do is like a kind of 'climb the mountain because it's there," philosophy. They spend about a thousand hours or more picking at a game so they can figure out how to beat it in the least amount of time possible. Here's me not even halfway through the game yet and I got it on release day. I like to roam around and find the mushrooms, climb trees, catch fish. Sometimes when I play, I just wander around in an area with no gloom hands and just collect items that hardly worth 5 rupees.
It's a harder, but faster route, Samura1man was really the only person to get a world record with it iirc so it's still being developed; runners wanted to squeeze everything out of zuggle overload before switching to ABC's. There's not much to explain other than what I said, instead of zuggle overloading to the lynel they fly to the depths spot for auto build then go straight to the gauntlet.
The sprint throw thing is the type of thing that would make me never want to run this game. When basic movement requires that much button mashing its too annoying
Dang im still lagging trying to beat botw. Yet alone doing all the tons of tricks it has to offer, yet alone speed running it to death, now this game, shitttttt.
@@Call_Me_Pickle Well, does itsmearc mean "as soon as you start the gauntlet", or as soon as you get to Colgera like Abyssoft said? Those are two very different points in the gauntlet, and the former would save multiple minutes just from avoiding the mob rushes.
It's funny that everyone thought you needed 1 item of any kind to do the shield doup glitch but you literally just needed 1 of what you wanted to duplicate and that's it🤣people were wasting time grabbing that extra item 😂
What patch version is the decided upon version for speedrunning? I'm only 9 mins in really, but why are they transmutating instead of just straight duping? no need for selecting an item with exactly 1 or any kind of inventory position or anything.
Okay, I realize the game has been out of awhile now but we're not quite out of spoiler territory. Referring to who the light dragon was in the video was.....errrrghhhh...... Sorry. But you get why I'm saying this. I apologize nonetheless, I don't want to be negative.
1. The browser isn't that great (it's not even open source...) 2. The company blatantly supports sexual degeneracy (at least on social media), and talks down on those who don't. This is not a good sponsorship to accept.
I had to stop the video @ 2:30 because your video quality is so subpar, I'm not in the mood to look at a bunch of extreme compression artifacts. Next time upload in 4K because even RU-vid's 4K is still lower bitrate your Switch's 1080p. RU-vid's 1080p is 10X lower bitrate than your Switch's 1080p. If you want to see something that looks vaguely like a Switch without intense compression artifacts covering over everything, the only way to do that on RU-vid is to upload 4K.
You usually go to ultrahand first, as that's the shrine the cutscene explaining shrines shoves in your face and you don't have to do anything crazy to get there. Then outside that shrine are bridge materials so you use those to go towards fuse, then last is headed to ascend through a cave a Steward points you to. The ascend shrine even has a wing runway pointed straight towards the temple to complete the loop.
@@namelastname6884 It's not necessary, just a more explanatory direction, as mechanics are paced more directionally. For instance the cave with the ore and brightblooms is between fuse and ascend, so getting fuse first makes sense there.
i'll never understand why nintendo insists on patching dupe glitches in a pve game. A glitch that occurs literally without player input, sure fix that, but one that requires specific odd button inputs or sequence of events...nobody is gonna use it unless they have already semi-mastered the game anyway and just speeding things up.
Jumping and pressing x+y to get 5 diamonds or silver lynel horns can probably be classified as a little to gamebreaking, and zuggle can mess with memory management and makes crashing the game way to easy. But yeah, not all glitches are that bad. And either way pretty much everything was already rediscovered in 1.1.2.
I usually really enjoy speedruns, but transmutations/duping and zuggling feels weird to me. They just seem really mundane, in a cheap way. It's not mastering anything, it just feels like free time.
I agree. I think it's how it interacts with the Fuse mechanic, it directly turns stuff into explosion/aoe/autoaim spam. It's one thing if those materials are farmed in some way & have to be carefully used, but just feels cheap if it's free. I'd love to see how a no-glitches any% route goes.
@@EvelynV123 the thing is I usually love glitches, because they're usually actually challenging to do. Not just pressing a few buttons to get infinite op items.
