Beeing still a regular l4d2 player from time to time... It's just super old and hadn't the widespread like most AAA games. Nowadays it's mostly dead and at least in the EU region full of laggy, non communicative Russians...

Nah tested that bit and it still works. The whole skip is for sure patched but some of the starting stuff isn't Edit: actually nvm the whole skip is still a thing I think. It takes a little longer but it still exists?

Think your mistaken, some of the skips were left unpatched on Co-op. But on Versus like, every single skip is patched

I dunno aye maybe for the meta, I dunno why they would have unlatched it though, because honestly most people speedrun on specific game versions like the day 1 release.

they didnt unfix it completely, they just changed it to where you cant do the skip in versus mode

@@thekuroknight yes i tested it but why would they remove it in coop, its perfect the way the invisible wall prevent skipping. Kinda sucks that its possible again in coop i mean

Is it still possible? Remember using the glauncher in the time mode (don't remember name). But we couldn't get it to work after some years, were thinking that it got patched.

@@Voodoo_One Patched after the last stand update :(, but the new mutation Rocketdude is just the soldier from tf2 so you can rocket jump on your own

@@goldendocsonic2012 I mean I wasn't a big PC l4d2 player I would mainly play on Xbox but I heard about the latest update and decided to get back into the PC version and wanted actually try speed running and play more but now hearing about the patches and the community strongly disliking the update I'm kinda just saddened and might just go back to console since that won't get the Last Stand update I won't get any WR times on console but at least I can try lol

CloudifoxGC i do both but if speedrunning using a medkit on public, just gets me kicked even faster

you have to install the earlier patch after you find it then run the steam.exe in that folder there is a detailed tutorial on speedrun.com/l4d2
