Könntest du vielleicht ein Video machen in dem erklärt wird was man machen muss um in Deutschland sich als Solo Spieleentwickler einzutagen. Muss man ein Gewerbeschein beantragen oder sogar zu einem Anwalt gehen? Was sowas kostet und muss man ein gewisses Gewerbekapital (paar tausende Euros) haben um dann bei Steam paar selbstgemachte Games zum Verkauf anbieten zu dürfen.

Jo ich habs mal aufgeschrieben. Aber kurz gesagt, Gewerbe anmelden kostet paar Euro, weniger als 100. Und dann kannst du los legen.

@@Cakez77 Danke für die schnelle Antwort, da kann ich ja aufatmen. ^^ Ich hab mich bloss letzte Woche gewundert, weil da hab ich ein Video gesehen von 3 Jungs die zusammen ein preisgekröntes Spiel hergestellt haben (welches extrem floppte), das Video war mehr auf Comedy gemacht und sie haben drin irgendwas von 12000 Euro gesagt.

@@paluxyl.8682 ja weil die ne UG angemeldet haben, das geht nur mit 20k startkapital oder so. du kannst aber auch ein Gewerbe als Freiberufler oder GbR anmelden, dann kostets unterschiedlich viel je nach Gewerbeamt, aber sicherlich unter 100 wie Cakez schon gesagt hat.

I think play time isnt really a factor. It's definitely sales.

"Steam isn't pay to win, we grant visibility to games that are sold and played a lot." Yeah, so only games where the publisher can bring a lot of traffic from outside of Steam will get visibility on Steam. Naturally, there's absolutely no money involved here... right? :)

By that account Immortals of Aveum should be doing extremely well. But it's not. You can't pay yourself to the top.

@@Cakez77 that's pretty fallacious, games requiring outside traffic to get visibility does not imply that ALL games who get outside traffic do well. they said it in this very video: the only thing that really gets you visibility on steam is sales and playtime. now how many sales and playtime do you think a game with no visibility has - no matter how good it is? right, none. how to get sales and playtime? visibility... which steam does not help you with when you don't have sales and playtime. to break out of that cycle you need to bring your own audience. don't have one? tough luck. if your game is dead in the water steam does nothing to help you out of it. it only begins to help once you drive your own traffic in. pushing a patch that adds an incredible feature to your games does not boost visibility by itself. when nobody sees that incredible feature there will be no effect.

You're just talking about basic marketing. The point is that you can't ever pay Valve to get more visibility like you can pay Amazon or Google to get more visibility on their stores.
