FINALLY ! My question is answered. The striker is not fully cocked and pulling trigger pulls Stricker rearward for full striker cock.. Thank You so very much ! Now I understand why experts insist that negligent discharge must have trigger pulled. Although glock is cocked it is only half cocked , until trigger is fully pulled , am I correct ?

Thanks, this helps explain the mush feeling of a stock glock. I hate it. I’ve heard there are trigger upgrades that fix the stock crappy trigger feeling, but How do they do it? I don’t see how they can change the inherent design.

I have a question everyone says the glocks striker always has prssure on it from the spring but if the glock is uncocked you can hear the striker going back and forth only when not cocked. So is that not true the striker always has prssure on it ? I have 6 glocks and if not cocked I can shake them and hear the striker moving back and forth.

most people dont understand how ingenious the glock action actually is, if glock didn't hold a patent on it EVERY striker fired pistol would be made with the same action. Glocks have no clunky external safeties to mess with, yet it is the safest gun on the market. you can literally put a round in the chamber and beat a nail into a board with the backplate and the glock CANNOT go off. it's physically imposible. People have dropped them from buildings and done all sorts of things to try to make them go off without a trigger pull, it's impossible. It's better than the 1911, better than the browning hi power, better than the Beretta 92, etc. The hype is real; buy a glock already!

My Canik TP9 Elite Combat which is single action also has the safety of a firing pin block that will only be disengaged by a fully depressed trigger. So even if by some virtually impossible circumstance the striker was to “let loose” on it’s own, it cannot hit the primer without the trigger being pulled back. Also, you can get a second hit on the primer by just slightly operating the slide rearward without ejecting the cartridge. So in my opinion, my Canik trounces any Glock. Great trigger feel of a single action, same safety’s as a partially cocked striker and because of the firing pin block, assuage as a true double action. Not to mention it’s more accurate right out of the box than any Glock, even modded Glocks.
